  1. I never found products that worked consistently. I would try every kind of product. I went on another phase and tried olive oil to clean my face but ended up clogging every single pore. I didn't know it was the olive oil until a month later, when my face was completely broken out. The esthetician told me I need to try obagi and tretinoin. I did tretinoin for 6 months but my skin never got use to it. I didn't like how dry and painful my skin felt. It would peel chunks of skin and with my job, I h
  2. Gosh, I remember finding this site when I was struggling with my teenage acne 15 or so years ago. I just recently came across it again, as I am now 30 and my acne is flaring up. Some months and years have been better than others as with all who suffer from adult acne, but it just recently has become the worst it has ever been. I've tried it all - lots of BP regimens (but never Dan's). I used Proactiv for years did help a little, but nothing that stuck. For about 2 years now, I have been usi
  3. I have got off on roaccutane (a.k.a accutane) about 1 week ago. My spots have cleared up and I haven't had any spots in about 5/6 weeks. However, I have really bad bright red marks on both cheeks leftover from acne. My cheeks feel completely smooth so the marks are just visual. I am 18 and starting university in 1 month and really want these marks to fade. How long will these marks take to fade on their own? I am buying Obagi Nuderm cream for £400 to reduce hyperpigmentation, how long will this
  4. I've been using the Obagi gentle cleanser for a long time and I'm not sure it's really doing anything for my skin! It costs so much that I've been thinking of switching to something cheaper, but I'm not sure what! I've been considering Cetaphil. I have extremely fair, sensitive skin that's prone to redness and oiliness and breaks out easily, so I'm having trouble finding something. Do any of you use any natural or organic products that are working for you or have found a face wash that's very ge

  6. I am urgently taking 60mg of Claravis (30 with breakfast and 30 with dinner). I was curious if using Obagi's Blender from the Nuderm system was a good option to use to even out and get rid of scarring. I already have the product and know it is used with topical Retin-a to achieve a smooth, even tone. I can't find anything regarding its use with isotretinoin. Any experience or advice? I have some really red scarring I want to try to get rid of an even out. *Currently not urgently (thanks autocor
  7. So I decided to go into the dermatalogist because I had mild acne and some scaring of pigmentation on Sept 6th. I went to Obagi Skin Care in Beverly Hills and was put on an extensive skin care regimen. (Keep in mind that my face was okay when I went). Point is, that in the morning I have to cleanse its Oilacleanse, then use Cebatrol Pads, then I apply two pumps of Melamin, then two pumps of Glycogent. At night, I cleanse again, use Vitascrub, then I apply Daily power Defense, then finally I
  8. Hi Guys So, the other day i visited a skin therapist as my acne keeps getting out of control and was thinking of taking a different approach instead of taking pills off the dermatologist, I'd try to find an effective 3 step system, as really I didn't have a good skin care regimen. I was just wondering if anyone has ever used the Obagi Clenziderm M.D System before and if so, what was the results? If you dont know what the system is its a three step system I'm currently using the normal-oily
  9. Hi, Is it ok if I used the the Regimen with Obagi nu-derm in the same time? The Obagi nuderm will help to peel my skin and clear my skin from the acne marks.

    Opinion On Chemical Peels?

Has anyone had success with Obagi Blue Peel Radiance???? Or any chemical peel in general? The physician's assistant I saw today recommended it, but I'm not too intrigued by it to be honest. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation (most of it I think it's fairly recent) but I don't like the redness and blotchiness of my skin. I also have a few (less than 10 apparently) active spots left on my face (none are cystic, I have mild-to moderate acne and mostly red spots) I would appreciate hearing any su

My Face - Twenty-five day span

From the album: Spironolactone and Azythromycin

I'm on my 7th dermatologist and from the looks of things, I would say that my terrible hormonal acne (which was made worse looking due to my inability to stop picking) has slowed way down. To the blemish-free person, my skin probably still looks terrible but I am pretty pleased with how things are going. I feel dried out and have to drink a lot of water but it's an easy trade off. DON'T GIVE UP! At 48 1/2, I have finally found a combination that works for me: Spironolactone, Azythromyc
