  1. My Journey with oatmeal to treat acne/pigmentation Hi my name is isaac im 16 ill be 17 in dec 6 ^.^ But lets get to the point (ACNE) i wanted to do something about it because bp made my skin much worse, so i started to use oatmeal as a cleanser morning and night fallowed by a facial moisturizer that contains soy bean. These photos are really personal to me, it took alot for me to share this, to help you guys out. These are the results of using oatmeal as cleanser/mask/ and a good moistur
  2. Hey everybody I recently found out that oatmeal significantly clears up my skin. However, anybody else who has used oatmeal before will know that it is very messy. It clogs the sink, sometimes a piece of it gets left in my hair and later on somebody embarrassingly points it out It is also quite impractical for everyday use as sometimes i just cant be bothered to use it at 7am before school when im half awake. I need an alternative to oatmeal, anything natural really as i have SENSITIVE SK
  3. I was using a honey and lemon juice mask and my skin seemed to be improving slowly. I added oatmeal to the mask because of the positive things people say about it. My skin has gotten worse since adding oatmeal. Not too much worse but I noticed it. I'm wondering if my skin just doesn't like oatmeal or if I'm going through a purging process? Has anyone dealt with this?
  4. Hello beautiful people! I'm on a the DK regimen (have been for a year or so) and was using Cetaphil Cleanser, but my skin was so red, dry, and flaky. I watched this video from bubzbeauty about how she makes her own oatmeal facial cleanser and decided to try it. So glad I did! My face looks sooo much better! I'm not sure how well it will take off makeup, but if I am wearing some I usually take a washcloth soaked in hot water and lay it on my face after doing my oatmeal cleanse and let it steam my
  5. Hey (I saw this video and wanted to give it a try but wasnt sure.) My skin do have some pimples and scars. My skin is also quite sensitive, dry and red. I would like to know anyone uses oatmeal to cleanse their skin? If so, does it help in reducing pimples, scars etc. ? And can I not apply moisturizer after that? Thank you
  6. Hey guys! I had a lot of problems with acne since high school and I'm 24 now. I've learned, what works for me and what doesn't in terms of pimples, greasy/oily face, less with facial redness. With greasy skin, vitamin D3, drinking more water and getting rid of sweets(sugars) and dairy products worked. With pimples, my last try was getting rid of products, that include gluten(..of all the things I've tried, that has worked the most quick and efficient. No bs). To dry out acne, when get
  7. I've been on varying degrees of retin-a/tretinoin for 2 years for Mild-Moderate acne. I've tried both the name brand and generic. Acne got better for awhile but never completely went away. Lowest isn't strong enough and the two stronger ones are too harsh on my skin. I'm currently on the lowest strength but it doesn't completely get rid of all my acne and I'm just tired of my pimple-redmark cycle. It also still makes my skin flaky after 8 months of use. I've had acne for the longest time (~10
  8. can i have oats uncooked? just by soaking them overnight or more?
  9. i was curious if its okay to have quaker oats?rolled? anyone uses quaker oats here?rolled ones?
  10. Hi. Im considering in the future to use a raw homemade oatmeal mix to make a light scrub for my face. Im just going to get a small bowl of oatmeal, water it so its nice and mushy but not too mushy and falling apart, and putting it on my face while rubbing very very gently, then washing off. Im just wondering if others have used this instead of store brought versions and just how gentle it is as I have very sensitive skin and want to keep anything I use to a complete minimum. Im also doing a
  11. I don't have much acne except for on my forehead. Or some reason it's red, can be dry or oily, has a lot of little tiny bumps, wrinkles easily. I want to even out my complexion and smooth out my forehead, can this be some with vitamin e oil capsules? I plan to cleanse my face with just straight oatmeal, then rinse it off and apply a big of vit e oil and let that sit overnight. Does this sound like it'd work? If not what would? I also have sensitive skin
  12. Has any one use oat meal for acne? i just started Tuesday, and i will like to you personal experience. Thank you ^.^
  13. So I have had minor acne all my life and last year i broke out bad in cystic acne around my side burns and sides of my eye, with a little on forehead. Regardless that is a thing of the past, its all cleared up and left some red marks. I'm not to worried bout it. Not sure what causes it either. Anyway I recently started getting pretty intense in diet and excercise and muscle building. I decided to change my diet a little for maximum results. My diet includes: Lean meats(chicken, turkey), Fruits,
