  1. Right so. I have some ugly scars on my nose. I've been researching dermabrasion and since my scars are at most moderate I think it will probably give me great results. However, I've heard good and bad about dermabrading the nose. Some say the skin is too thin there, or that it heals differently. Others say it heals much better and is perfectly fine. Any thoughts? Also if anyone has been to the Orange County Cosmetic Surgery in Newport Beach, let me know if the doctor knows what he's doing! He
  2. hi! well I have a bad nose breakout back in March, my nose was constantly red and swollen. I went to the dermatologist and he put me on doxycycline and gave me adapalene and benzoil peroxide. Well, being on those treatments has made my skin worse. I'm super oily and my nose started getting these weird like bumps? I'm not sure if it's scarring from the breakout I had or what...anyways I stop the meds and just letting this run its course. I didn't have this before, they started appearing when I wa
  3. So I've been dealing with this issue for as long as I can remember honestly. Before I begin, the photos I'm going to post are pretty hard to look at. At least in my opinion. So be warned. It's also not the shortest read, but I do believe that there are elements of this story that can help many people on here who struggle with skin issues. In fact, it's more likely that it will than not. Very, very, very long story short(er..ish)-- In high school I had regular hormonal acne. It was just a litt
  4. Hi, When I was 15-17, I got a lot of acne on my nose which left scars up until now (I am 21 now). The bumps are very noticeable as they are big and I got too many. I've tried many products on my nose, but so far none have worked at all. Below are some pictures Please let me know some treatments
  5. I've been incredibly discouraged hearing about how difficult it is to treat scarring on the nose. All four of my scars are on the bottom half of my nose (but before the tip). They include an icepick, a couple boxcars, and a roundish one. They are all in a line and I hate them so much I can't stand it. I was really liking things like TCA Cross and subcision to spot treat my scars but I've heard they don't have much effect. Laser resurfacing sounds so effective but I'm concerned about the cost an
  6. I have a few icepick scars on my nose. I've had them over 10 years and they have always bothered me a bit and would cover them with powder and thought that was the best I could do so I didn't stress it too much. I figured someday I could do a laser but anyway. The last year and a half I have made it soo much worse. I have really messed up my pores so they are all enlarged. I discovered primers which look amazing but I think that is part of what has created this problem with large pores. Now I ha
