  1. From the album: Acne.org Regimen Results

I wasn't going to post these pictures because it's embarrassing to see just how bad my skin used to be!!! However, I figured someone could benefit from my struggle. I've struggled with acne for the last 10 years. I've tried changing my diet, prescription meds, Proactiv, Murad, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, all-natural face washes, masks, scrubs, etc. YOU NAME IT, I'VE TRIED IT!!!! I even tried to cover it with makeup. But no matter how much concealer you use, there's just no covering a bumpy su
  2. From the album: DKR Regimen

No makeup except mascara and brow filler... No filters...
  3. I am feeling so good about the caveman regimen this time around. Every time I look in the mirror, I feel like my skin is looking better and better! No new breakouts, and the two spots I have on the left side of my mouth are getting smaller (well, the one is coming to head so it's further along in its healing process). AND it looks like my scars are fading more quickly (but it's hard to tell). All in all, I am VERY optimistic. My diet is still just fruits and veggies, nothing else. I real
  4. From the album: Accutane Journey: Be The Best You Can Be!

Awful redness. Very few active pimples. Not scarring yet, and knock on wood. Trying to smile and keep my head up! No makeup, right after shower.
  5. How has it already been 20 days?? Since the mini breakout after eating pineapple, I have had no new breakouts! Yesterday I introduced coconut oil back into my diet, which I'm not worried about, and so far it has done nothing to my skin. My hyperpigmentation is still fading. Can't wait till it's totally gone because that's really the only thing that's making my skin look blemished. I started wearing lipstick again since my skin has been so stable. The whole waiting 4 days to introduce a new fo
  6. I feel extra gross about my skin today. The ones on my forehead got inflamed, but the same thing happened to the ones on my chin, so hopefully that just means they're healing. I also got some whiteheads around my lip lines, which I'm honestly not surprised about because I was wearing lipstick basically everyday to try and distract people from the fact that I wasn't wearing any foundation. I really miss cheese today. That sounds like such a silly thing to say but I LOVE cheese. Grilled cheese
  7. Hey everyone! So, I've been seeing this guy for a while, and I really like him. He's asked me to stay over a few times and to stay the weekend at his friend's holiday house but I've always said no because that would mean me having to take my makeup off and him seeing how bad my chin is at the moment. It's super red (only made worse by the fact that I'm super pale), with post-inflam hyper-pigmentation and a few active spots. I also have anxiety which doesn't exactly help. It's getting to
  8. Hey guys! I just wanted to get your opinions on this, as we are probably all in the same boat I have been on 20mg of accutane a day, for 5 weeks and for 4 days I've been on around 30mg a day as my derm recommended My skin has improved a lot but it's still very red and has a few active spots In 2 weeks I am going away on a school trip for over a week!! No one from school has ever seen me without make up on and make up is the only thing that helps with my confidence, kinda like a saf
  9. All the original breakouts have gone now but I have a whole new set of pimples with whiteheads! Two days ago I thought that all the whiteheads had dried up but they're having another party so I'm not too pleased at the mess. They're mainly on my T zone. I admit that I have been touching my face too much as the skin is so dry; I've been picking and rubbing at it. I really need to stop! I'm hoping that once my skin gets more used to the BP it won't be so itchy and I won't be as tempted. The th

From the album: Before And After

I do not own many pictures of my acneic skin, as I avoided the camera as much as umanly possible. This picture does not do its justice.

  13. Hi all, I've spent the past few months reading through various posts on here and finally decided to make a post of my own reaching out. I've had moderate cystic acne since I turned 21 (24 now), and have had a hell of a time dealing with it. Recently I started a new skin care line that seems to be helping prevent new breakouts (great!) but I still suffer from old cysts that never healed around my chin and horrible red scars all over my face from my awful habit of picking. I've become so terribl
  14. I had pretty normal skin growing up. Occasional breakouts usually around that certain time of month.. I was clear all throughout college. THEN... In December of last year, I was about to graduate college with a degree in Chemistry. I was extremely stressed and I was breaking out more than usual. Nothing to fret about though. I did not change my routine of washing my face with Cetaphil AM/PM, 1:1 ACV toner, and an aveeno moisturizer. My skin wasn't flawless, but I could handle it. Now out in
  15. Hi! I have pretty bad skin (today is my second day on accutane) and I have a lot of red scarring that looks awful like acne + acne. I want to tryout for cheerleading but I am scared because I never even leave my house without having makeup on. I feel like I'm just going to be judged and that is really discouraging to me even though I really want to tryout, but I can't wear makeup to tryouts and if I make it in I won't be able to wear makeup to practice either and I just feel really nervous about
  16. I've been on The Regimen for only 5 days now and am starting to see a difference. My skin was never horrible but I was starting to break out in female, adult, hormonal acne. It was concentrated around my chin and slowly started spreading up to my cheeks. What I believe prompted this breaking out was NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. It is such a beautiful foundation but after a few weeks of using it I was breaking out more and more. I stopped using it after a month or so and began using Neutrogena Ski
