  1. I don't know if this will work for you, but it helped me so I wanted to share hoping it can help someone else. I have struggled with acne for a long time. I'm 31 now and had success with Accutane in my mid teens and again at college age, then Spironolactone when I was in my mid twenties. Spironolactone was the best! Until it wasn't. It stopped working for me after 3 years. I was so disappointed, I thought I'd found the answer. I started getting cystic acne again and it was brutal. It was all
  2. Late Janurary 2016 I started using a new shampoo. It gave me all of these colourless bumps on my skin similar to chicken skin (I merely thought it was that). Around ten weeks after using it I decided that I wanted to have my smooth neck skin better and it wasn't worth compromising that for soft hair. As soon as I went off it these little bumps which I thought were chicken skin began to break out. The photos show the progression. Image one was after I stopped using the shampoo, they look like
  3. I've had this almost 10 years, started with a few bumps on my shoulders that was misdiagnosed as scabies. Dermatologists keep prescribing antibiotics (topical) because I don't want to take oral. They tell me it's folliculitis but never check to see if it's bacterial or fungal. I've changed my diet, probably bought out a whole CVS in the past decade, used sulfur, used Nizoral, hibiclens, BP, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, sea salt scrubs....nothing brings relief ...changed what I use to wash my s
  4. 20 year old female acne since I was 11. -areas of acne- face, neck, chest, back, bottom. -tied- tetracycline, zineryt, benzoyl peroxide(still using), everything from boots! -don't think it's hormonal as never been on the pill and only get 1 or 2 under skin spot on chin or neck at time of month - periods have always been regular same time every month since 11 years old. -tried gluten/dairy free, vegan/veggie multivitamins etc, -currently meat free for past 2 years, I eat a fresh whole
  5. I've recently broke out on my neck under my jawline. This is after being completely free of acne and it was a short experience, but definitely great. I'm not sure what to do about my neck acne, I'm using cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, but about every 3-4 days ill use St. Ives apricot scrub to help get the dry skin off. I wash two times a day and drink plenty of water. Any advice for what I should do to treating neck acne? Sometimes the cysts get dry and I don't like using moisturizer anymore be
  6. I have always had stubborn acne, however in the last four months I've been getting a lot of acne on my neck. My dermatologist gave me differin and cliniderm and it has not helped my acne at all, it's next to impossible to see her. No matter what I do i wake up with more acne on my neck. I use baby dove, I use cheer laundry detergent (which I've never had an issue with) and I take allergy pills. Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried everything, I've tried using nothing and my skin is getting wo
  7. Hello everyone! I am 21. and I've had had this neck (jaw) acne for like 2-3 weeks it came kind of out of nowhere, because usually my acne starts from bad eating habits... my diet has been OK =healthy, but I work out a lot and almost every day (I work as a fitness instructor and dance teacher, that means I sweat alot in classes), and I've been using concealer to cover up my acne, I know it is not good but I don't wanna show it... it looks terrible. I am travelling to NYC in 3 weeks and I want
  8. So, I started my 3rd treatment with roaccutane about 10 days ago, now I have a big cyst, or nodule, honestly I don't know what it is. I know that roaccutane can be the cause of stronger acne in the first month or two, but this is the first time something this big popped. I did have similar acne on my chest and back before, in the days when my skin was the worst, but this one bothers me quite bit. I have trouble moving my neck, kinda feels like my whole neck is stiff as rock. I've been told tha
  9. Dear acne sufferers, If you haven't already tried taking a zinc supplement for your acne, then you must start now! Here's why: * There is a summary at the bottom of this post for those who don't want to read the whole thing. I have suffered with acne for years. Not severe acne, fortunately, but with moderate acne that just never seemed to respond to any form of treatment. Trust me, I've tried it all (except for Accutane). It nearly makes me sick to my stomach to think about the exorbita
  10. Hi all! Hope you are all enjoying the holidays! To Start; This is the first time posting in the forum but like many other people I've become fed up with trying different treatments without seeing results treating acne- especially on my neck. Before banging on about my acne I have included a great product (All natural) I now use on my seb derm at the bottom of this post which has worked wonders (Don't worry I have not been paid to promote etc It's just something which has really been amaz
  11. So for several years, my neck would break out like mad. Cysts, whiteheads, you name it. Being a bit of gypsy, I found it peculiar that it only really happened when I was living in my home town on the coast of Canada. Coast of Australia? Nada. Coast of England? Clear as day. In the Rockies? Crystal clear! But as soon as I came back, without fail, my neck would be a busy beehive of acne. To this day, I haven't been able to find out what the root cause of that is, but I finally found a way to clea

  13. All right, so here goes. I'm 21 years old, female. My body acne has always been with me for about 6 years now, and it used to linger on my face when I was back in high school (severe lingering, it depleted most of my self esteem). History-wise I started with moderate-severe facial acne from 12 years old, and have used absolutely everything in my power to get rid of it. Strangely enough, my facial acne became controllable when I turned 20 and I hope it stays that way. However, my back
  14. Im sorry i havent posted yesterday coz the wifi got crazy. But anyways as promised, heres the pic of my progress after 1 month. ) I know you cant tell huge improvement but honestly in person its really much better and my neck feels so much lighter unlike before. Right now the actual acne already dried up. Theyre all dead. But it left very visible acne marks which i hate. Let me know your opinions about it. See you in a week.
  15. I have PCOS and my acne is always showing at my neck, jawline, and under the chin. It's cystic and very painful. Most of the time, it has no head. The size and pain of the cystic acne will lessen but it always becomes black/dark brown. It looks like there's blood trapped inside but i just can't do anything to get it to have a "head". Sometimes i also have normal sized acne but it's almost always in a particular spot forming a line or whatever so it's really painful. It ALWAYS leaves a nasty scar
