  1. Hi. I am 16 year old girl from Fontana, California. Summer last year, I started to get pimples everywhere on my face. They were everywhere. I asked my mom if she could take me to a dermatologist and she said yes. We went to one in a nearby clinic. The dermatologist said it was acne vulgaris. A condition that usually occurs in teenagers. The doctor said that it was totally normal and gave us a prescription of what treatment we should buy. 3 months later, there were no changes. I did exactly every
  2. Hello everyone . I have bad acne on my face (chin, cheeks) and back.. I have tried everything but nothing works for me. Today I found this method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5b-OyY-rXjE . Do you have any experience with banana peel ? Does it work ? I don´t want to waste my time with something that probably won´t work. Have a nice day .
  3. Hello Acne.org and hello fellow acne sufferers! I haven't been on this site in years. But....... The 100% cure for acne is....well....a mystery. I'm sorry to say that. It is. I have however....found my OWN personal....that's right, PERSONAL remedy for this self-esteem killing ailment. Unfortunately we are not all carbon copies of one another. That would make things much easier. So Here is what i do: Very abbreviated cause this could be ten pages What i do.....is not scient
  4. After several years of using over-the-counter products, prescription creams and topical antibiotics without lasting success, I have decided to abandon this approach. I looked closer at my acne, and suspected it was hormonal. After a visit to the endocrinologist, it was deduced that my acne is a potential symptom of PCOS. I am now taking the anti-androgen blocker 'cyproterone acetate' to combat high levels of testosterone and hopefully reduced my (daily) break outs. I am also taking zinc and om
  5. Hi, i'm a 13 year old suffering from hyperpigmentation acne scars, [dark spots left after pimples fade.] I was wondering how long it takes for them to fade away completely and what kind of natural treatments there are. My skin is Asian, Tan, and my scars are kind of faded, but i'm still wondering how long it takes for them to fade away. I also want to know if there are any cheap creams or serums that work well. Thanks! BTW: I have moderate acne and my skin is almost clear except for those dar
  6. Im trying to get off benzoyl perioxide. I started using it every other day for a month and then slowly easy off it. But is there a alternative natural treatment which can help my acne? I'm really clear now with the BP and don't want to break out again... Hope someone can help me!
  7. Intro I have been fighting acne since I was 16 or so- sometime in the high school. In the beginning I didn’t care much and it was quite ok, but getting worse – ten I got some cleansers that made it better after every use. But Then after some time it was really drying – around second year into it. Around that time I also got scars on my temples, almost not anywhere else. When I was 20 or so I switched to natural versions of everything. Since then my acne got better and when I cleaned it I wou
  8. Hello, My hormonal issues have left me with melasma (darker patches of skin) under my eyes...it's kind of like hyperpigmentation but it's very difficult to lighten, much less completely remove. So far, I have been semi-successful with aloe peels, lactic acid peels, balancing hormones as much as possible, vitamin C serum, etc. BUT it's still there! I've had it for almost 2 years now, and I can't even fully cover it up with makeup. You can see a photo here (discoloration under my eyes): http
