  1. I've about had it with my acne, i have moderate to severe acne. I get the whole galore, cysts, white heads, clogged pores the whole shebang. My problem is that i freak out and try all these products that aggravate my face even more and its a mess and i end up losing and my face being even worse than before. I feel ugly because my skin never wants to stay clear. I dont want to go on anymore prescriptions and use any drugstore products that just dry my skin out more. I have oily skin and its a lit
  2. Hello all! I have been struggling with acne since I was about 13, I'm 18 now, so 5 years. My acne has been Moderate - Severe. Strangely enough my facial acne is pretty mild. What I've struggled with is body acne. Lots of it. Sob stories aside, for the past 10 days I have been using Grisi sulfur soap with lanolin (I think?), as directed, every night before bed. Afterwards I use Hempz lotion, I believe I have the original one. OH. MY. GOD. My prayers were finally answered. My body acne has clear
  3. Hi again, Just wanted some help on natural products to use. I have atrophic and box shaped scars on both my cheeks and I am desperate to get rid of them. To correct those I am planning to use a dermaroller at home after a week. Can anyone please suggest me good natural products I can apply after dermarolling? I am too scared of retinols, synthetic vitamins A and C entering the blood stream since dermarolling could certainly increase absorption of any product by n thousand times. Bleh! N
  4. Here's my story. I went to the dermatologists in January (an estimate, don't really remember when). I went because I had a bad rash under my nose, and under my mouth. By the time I went to the dermatologist for that problem my rash was already gone, I only had about two pimples on my chin caused by the things I used to clear my rash. The dermatologist asked me if I usually break out around my menstrual, I said yes (doesn't everyone?). He prescribed me Spironolactone. I took it for a month and
  5. I think I finally found a way to reduce my very stubborn hormonal acne. I am 30 and have been struggling with hormonal acne for as long as I can remember. I usually get them around my mouth and chin, and I get very oily skin in that area. I usually start breaking out at around 2 weeks before my period. Sometimes they get as high as my cheeks and some really hurt (Even recently I started getting cystic acne along my jawline). Unfortunately I have a very bad habit of picking at them especially whe
  6. I am writing this to share about my experience finally quitting proactiv after 8 years of use and what then ensued- and what finally helped. I am a 35 year old woman, with adult acne, who has had acne since the age of twelve. Severe at many points during my life, using accutane twice, all sorts of rx'd meds over the years, etc. When I was about 27 I started proactiv. During the years being on it, I still had acne, bad at times, (horrible when your 35), but with my history I was dealing w
  7. Hi there! I'm 19 and came across acne.org about a month ago and have been following various advice ever since. Products I've recently switched to Spectro gel for blemish prone (purple bottle) morning and night Spectro gel moisturizer for blemish prone skin morning and night Burts bees blemish stick morning and night I've been using these for two weeks now and have yet to see improvement. I like the cleanser as it feels nice and isn't irritating however my acne hasn't stopped... in fact I ha
