  1. Hi I'm a 17 year old male and have had acne since 13/14. I never get cystic acne but I have a face full of medium sized red dots. I used benzoyl peroxide with clindamycin as phosphate 1% and benzoyl peroxide 5% last summer and my face was almost completely cleared but I still had about 15 red spots on either side of face so I went to my doctor again because my prescription was used up and she prescribed Epideo to finish clearing up my face. Ok, that is when ALL HELL broke LOOSE! I started breaki
  2. Read this PLEASE. It's been a long road, and I feel like I can answer a lot of questions. I'll have a concise conclusion at the end, so don't worry about remembering everything I say that you need to do. The immune system is designed to keep things like viruses and foreign bacteria out of our system. Bacteria's getting in our system, so there's clearly a problem. To first answer the fiends that insist acne is from hormones and oil glands and which can't be changed, they can. You can balance horm
  3. Hi, I am a 30 year old and suffering from severe-moderate cystic acne from last 10 years. It is so embarrassing and heartbreaking to have acne at this age. I have tried EVERYTHING, if I said everything, I meant EVERYTHING. I tried all home remedies, antibiotics, OCM, Accutane, Spirolactane, Acne.org, proactive, Peter roth, Clinique 3 step solution and many other solutions available in market, BP, salycylic, Glycolic, clindamycin, Azalaic acid, Nicotinamide and other topical treatment. I have
  4. So, I'm anemic (probably because of my baaad diet) I'm starting to take a multivitamin which has iron, B12 and many other vitamins but I made sure it had no iodine...do you think it will make my acne worse? I heard iodine is the main culprit for breakouts caused by multivitamins
  5. Hey all! After having acne since 14 and now being 19 and in college, I'm still...well frustrated! I've taken lots of pills, and done any diets. Right now I am paleo, soaked beans and legumes. However, I just made the insulin, magneisum, chromium, defficency connection, and really think that makes SO MUCH SENSE! But I don't wanna post about it until i'm 100% clear. My problems: 1.) I cannot for the life of me POOP! I eat so much fiber. Talking atleast 30 grams. Drink water all day! And n
  6. As anyone on Accutane who still wants to take a multivitamin during their course knows, multis without vitamin A are hard to find. I've spent quite a bit of time researching to try to find one besides the ebA Multivitamin, which I feel is overpriced - especially with shipping costs. I got lucky today while at Walgreens, and randomly picked up a multivitamin that was geared towards eye health - the kicker is it doesn't have any vitamin A. I was definitely surprised and happy about this discove
  7. I am sorry if I am not in the rigt boards, but since Dan's daily regime also includes his vitamins and what not, I figured this would be a good place to ask my question. Do I need to take MORE than my current multivitamin? And is my particular brand of multivitamin not enough? Or possibly, not even helping my acne (or health) in any way?... I bought it at my local super store when browsing for supplements, and doctor simply suggested any kind of vitamin specifically made for women. I
  8. I've had acne for 12 years now and have been taking minocyline for about 8 years. It has definitely been a massive help since I started taking it. I haven't had a major issue of scarring since starting the medication. Unless I pop/squeeze a spot myself, generally my spots do not leave long lasting scars. They disappear soon after. That is until around 5 months ago. Now, every spot on my face leaves a huge scar which just does not go away. I'm left with so many scars on my face. Not just that,
  9. Hello, Im a 22 year old with mild acne (used to be bad but I took accutane). I am reading studies that say high amounts of b12 cause acne, and they seem to make sense. However, the jury seems to be out on whether iodine does or does not cause or aggravate acne. Many people are saying that the acne caused by iodine is a detox from the bromine leaving your system, and that it is temporary. That actually seems like a good thing. My question is, my multivitamin, Now Foods Adam, contains 225 mcg
  10. Hello all, I was on Accutane from 2013 to 2014 and it got me mega-clear... for a couple of months. After that, I started getting the occasional pimple - but nothing to worry about. Then, I started getting more and more, and started incorporating a little bit of Dan's Regimen back into my routine (I'd used the Regimen from around 2009 to 2013 with varying degrees of success). Then, in the winter of 2014, I broke out HARD - just like the pre-Accutane days. The breakout consisted of a bunch of d
  11. Is it safe to take a 1000mg Fish oil, zinc-free multivitamin and a 30mg zinc tablet with breakfast every day? Also, is it even necessary? I work out quite regularly, and I do eat frequently and some-what healthily, but my diet varies, so I guess I don't always get exactly everything my body needs on all the days of the week. I've also heard that Zinc, despite a lot of it possibly being a placebo effect, can contribute to clearing up your acne, which is always a plus side for us suffe
