  1. My doctor put me on birth control (ortho-tricyclen) after my first period in middle school. Fast forward - clear skin for almost my entire life until I turn 19 and decide I don't need to be on synthetic hormones. Three months later, cystic acne all over my cheeks, jawline, and neck. Sound familiar? Straight away I go to the derm. Get put back on ortho-tri. I stayed on the ortho tri only to experience mediocre results, then moved onto yaz for three months which caused a literal facial explosion

  3. Ah, back again! If you've followed to any of my recent posts, you know I'm a frustrated Acne.org long timer. Long story short I started the regimen in December 2013 and was 110% baby butt clear about 5 months later. I then lived happily ever after with no acne! I wish... I stayed clear for the better part of 3-4 months. And I mean REALLY clear. No noticeable signs of acne at all. It was so good I could posted a photo of myself during my clear period and I had friends texting me say "Holy cr
  4. Hi, I asked a similar question not long ago but would really appreciate some more info on this, But I've been on accutane for 7 months now starting at 30mg and have worked my way up to 50mg, my acne has definitely improved but I was really hoping it would have stopped by now. I'm still getting spots, pretty much always on my upper lip and temples... I don't really get it anywhere else. I feel like I do everything I possibly can to prevent it but my body still finds ways of producing new spot
  5. I just wanted to give a quick update as I pass the 18-months post-Accutane mark! My skin is still VERY clear - I probably get about one very small pimple every month or 2, and it goes away COMPLETELY within 2 days. Again, it's very small - usually doesn't even develop to the stage of being a whitehead, and it's gone before I even really notice it. Here is a before and after pic: ALSO, I wanted to address some of the side effects that other users had/have been experiencing. I basica

  7. Hey everyone. I am currently on Accutane and almost done my second month! Basically for the first month I was taking 40mg every other day, and this month 40mg every day. I am seeing my dermatologist on the 22nd to get be prescribed to my new dose. Anyways, 2 months in and I'm barely seeing any results. No I'm not mad about it, it just sucks being patient. I didn't have bad acne when I started on the drug, I'd say moderately severe? I only had 1 or 2 cysts a month. I had no acne on my cheeks and

How Long To Clear Up On Yaz

I've been on Yaz for 8 months. I get a couple of pimples here and there still. It's helped quite a bit. How much longer is it going to take? I also have dry skin from treatments and there's this oil I really want to use..but I can't if I know I'll break out. :/

    And The Nightmare Returns..?

I've been on the regimen for 11 months, it'll be a year on Christmas. This time last year my skin was hideously caked in cysts and I was at the end of my rope. I pretty much desperately promised I would make a change and a few months into it I did get clear. I lived 2014 overall free of acne! My skin was baby smooth and clear and man, that was fun. Well, the last few weeks my chin is starting to break out all over again. I've literally changed nothing about how I do my regimen. I've never stoppe
  11. When starting my retin a and doxycycline treatment I didn’t have much acne , skin was just fairly scared and had those smaller comedones. After about 4 months my acne is much worse and don’t know if will get better. My cheeks got much worse and Just started calming down.Just about a week ago has a huge breakout on my forehead , when I hadn’t had any acne on forehead for most he treatment. Isn’t that only supposed to happen initially staring retin a ? Why is happening 4 months later ? It seems
  12. Please help me I'm desperate... I'm coming up to the two months mark of using Epiduo and my skin has completely transformed. I used to have extremely mild acne; some raised bumps on my forehead which were barely visible and the occasional pimple and I now have awful acne and the most awful scars. I'm wishing that I never even started Epiduo. My self esteem is ruined and I've cried myself to sleep these past few nights. My face now has so much deep, red and purple scarring (something which
  13. Hello guys! I am fairly new to the regimen; I started at the very beginning of June -- not using Dan's exact products, but using products that I had carefully vetted. I am trying very hard to stick to his instructions about application. I just got some of his products in the mail, so I'm excited to start using them! Truly, I just want to be able to wear makeup because I WANT to, and not because I'm too ashamed to go out without it. That's when I'll know I'm satisfied. I have a few questions.
  14. Hi so i started epiduo but I'm from Canada so its called Tactupump and i have slme general questions and open to any advice to anyone who used it. 1. How long did it take you to notice it was working? 2. How long did it take to reach the point of clear skin? 3. Did you experience an initial breakout? If so how many weeks in? 4. What kind of skin would you say this product is made for?
