  1. I have been taking isotretinoin in a relatively low dosage for almost four months. The breakouts seem to have stopped, I hope they won't return. However, my nose is full of blackheads, and milia don't seem to go away either. Can I expect those to be helped, or it's almost sure that if so far it hasn't worked for them, I will not in the future either.
  2. I said that I would post my current skin after showing you how bad my acne was in my last blog post. Anyways here’s my skin on month two! It’s a huge improvement from the pictures I posted the other day❤️ Does anyone know how I can get rid of my acne scars or help them fade while on acutane????
  3. FEAR ME! Yes! I quit benzoyl peroxide cold turkey.. One day I just .. STOPPED. OK. Well, I am at 1 month. I thought my acne was bad while on the REGIMEN. HOLY COW. This last month has been awful. I've broke out on my forehead and on my chin; places I've NEVER EVER got acne before. Not on my nose, however...strange. Not to exclude my cheeks and the sides of my face. During this last month I've had to prepare myself for college which means being out in public and showing them my ugly mu
  4. Hello, Well it's been exactly one month since I started taking Isotretinoin... a little over 4 weeks. I was doing fine in the beginning breakout-wise but in the past few days... actually the past like 2 days, I've broken out in 3-4 pimples on my cheek. Quite the downer especially because, even though they're not cysts or anything, they're not small, and they get white and hard. So I just popped them and surely white stuff squirted out (ew) but I know I shouldn't pop them.. but I can't leave
  5. It's been just over a month and a half on Accutane. I'm on 40mg once daily. My skin had an initial breakout when I first started that was really bad but only lasted about a week. Once my skin healed from that it was nearly flawless besides scarring and hyperpigmentation. Then once again my skin broke out last week, assumably from my period, and it's slowly starting to heal up now. I've also gotten a few closed comedones (?) their like little headless pimples on my cheeks. They aren't too bad but
  6. I finished my 2nd month of treatment 3 days ago. I weigh 53kg and have been on 40mg per day since the beginning. By now I expected for things to be at least a little better, but the past month and a half have been really horrible. I was really hoping to start November with (relatively) clear skin but I don't see that being the case. I suppose I already went through the worst part of it, but I don't see many signs of things improving yet and it's very frustrating. I feel quite terrible most of th
  7. Hello all. I've only had one other post on this site (but have read many) and that was about my starting of minocycline and aczone as a treatment. That lasted three months. In September I started accutane, so I am currently just starting my fourth month. I am 23 years old right now, and all I can say is that I wish I took this damn medication when it was first offered to me when I was 16. I was so scared of the side effects that I kept trying all these antibiotics and all these other treatmen
  8. Hey guys, Hello, hi. I'm about to start my fifth month on Accutane. What would you say, based on the photos, is it a good station to be at, or should I be worried that this medicine shan't work for me? I'm just so lost, seeing all those people who make an impressive change by the end of month 3. (Oh, and my journey has been so difficult even so far. It's definitely ups and downs. 3 weeks ago my face was almost the same as it is now, however, a damned breakout came, and it got
  9. 1 month on regimen and my acne is just getting worse. New spots every day. Painful cystic acne. Bright red spots. Small white heads on Chin. I'm following the reg! 10. Hi everyone! I am quite new to this community and am so excited to start this skincare journey! HISTORY OF MY SKIN: I have had acne for 3 years, and this is the first time it has been really bad due to my period. I was going from harsh chemicals like BP and Salycilic acid, to all natural lush skincare. I wasn't giving any product enough time and my skin just got worse. my skin has lots of red marks and hyperpigmentation, on my forehead and the inner parts of my cheeks. I also have healin
  11. Hey So, I'm two months and 5 days into my isotretinoin treatment. I take 20 mgs each day. So far my acne seemed to having improved, although, around the beginning of month three, it started to break out again, and a lot of new blackheads and whiteheads appeared around my nose. What can I expect? Is it possible that it will have improved (somehow magically) by the end of month 3? Thanks in advance
  12. A month closer to clear skin!!! I got through the initial breakout, it only lasted about a week. Though I got some leftover hyperpigmentation and scars that are still red but at least flat! My skin is much less oily and my hair is too. I just use water to rinse my face in the morning followed by a ph balancing toner and soothing moisturizer. I have a cyst on my upper lip that came up a few days ago. I'm using all my willpower to just leave it alone because it's really irritating! I also broke ou
  13. Hi everyone Im 16 years old and ihave this pimple on my nose in the picture and it's been there for like a month and it's gotten bigger and I think it's yellowish now I got Minocycline like 3 days ago because my doctor prescribed me for it and I don't know what to do, should I pop it or should I wait and let the medications do the work? I've been getting laughed at, at school for some time now and it's really ticking me off. Someone help! Thank you!!
  14. Sorry for the length of this post, future logs will be much shorter. I would really appreciate you reading it all and giving me any feedback. Thank you. I'm 17 years old, male, weigh 53kg (116 lb) and I'm 1.65m (5ft 5in) tall. Besides being on the light side, and also pretty short, I'm not overly skinny nor scrawny, just slim. I only get good exercise in summer but I consider myself to be quite healthy in terms of diet. I have always been of oily and light skin and hair, at least before starti
  15. Hi, I've never written anything on any kind of website like this before and I don't even know if I'm writing in the right place at the minute. But anyway, I've been on accutane for 7 months, started at 30mg and am now on 50mg. I have definitely made progress, but I am still getting acne. Not really bad, nowhere near what it was but it's enough to really get me angry. I did honestly think that after 7 months of dry skin, having a red face and awful looking cracked sore lips my acne would have a
  16. Hi! I've been on acctane for around 9 months now and I have made really good progress but I still get small spots... I can't really put a time scale on them it seems to be like I have no spots for 2 weeks then I'll get 3 in 3 days. The way I'm trying to look at it is that if I was offered this skin 9 months ago I'd have probably taken it, but I did kind of think it'd be better than this. I'm super red and my lips are pretty manky looking. I just want to know if this is normal, did you guys sti

  18. It's been a few weeks since I last updated this blog, so be prepared for a long one! Right now, without hopefully jinxing it, I have no actives on my face!! It's by no means clear however, unfortunately still some quite persistent lumps from previous spots that just won't go down . I also have A LOT of hyperpigmentation and a few scars so definitely not looking clear by any means. But I honestly can't believe this right now, after just 4 weeks I've reached a point where I am going a good few
  19. I'm on my 3rd month of Accutane (Claravis). Back in November, on my 5th day of taking Accutane, I was up all night with excruciating back pain and I threw up a few times. I woke up the next morning and it was fine. I told my Dr. about this & she just said to make sure I'm drinking A LOT of water. So everything was fine for awhile. Then when I started my 3rd month, she upp my dosage to 60mg per day (I was taking 40mg per day before.) On my 4th day of taking 60mg, the back pain thing happened
