  1. Hello all, I've just finished my 4th month of Accutane, and after 3 months of perfectly clear skin, have had some small 3-4 pimple breakouts on former problem areas. It also seems like my scarring is getting redder, but I could be imagining this. For context, I'm a 19y/o female, 123 lbs, 3 months of 60mg after the first month of 40mg. I hope that this is just because I switched a couple of skincare products, perhaps I am just moisturizing too little/not enough... I am using a Cetaphil foami

This was month 4 of my treatment. I had really high hopes that this month would be the one where I would see significant differences.I do admit that my skin did improve, but I worry because I only have a couple months left of my treatment. My routine has stayed pretty much the same, but I did have to change my moisturiser to a better quality one. I started using Avene Clean AC moisturiser and it did do really really well in combating the dryness.
  3. Hey all, So far, my results on Isotretinoin (Accutane) are great! My skin keeps getting better and better. It definitely has taken the acne on my back the longest to clear up, but this month the acne is clearing up nicely! I really hope the rest of this month and the next two months continue to be this great. Accutane has worked wonders for me. I pray my complexion stays this nice when I am no longer on Isotretinoin. Positives: Pores are smaller, decreased oil production, acne has disappear

    Week 17: Day 113

I am on month 4!! I am completely clear on my right cheek as well as my left cheek! I still have a really red skin tone and a lot of scarring But, the red hue should go away after I get off the medicine, and the scarring should fade over time. I am now on 120 mg a day. My dermatologist decided to up my dose to just fully kick this out of my system the last 2 months. I had a HUGE problem getting my prescription this month, though. Without typing it all out, basically I have to take 3 pills i
  5. Hi friends. So please read and respond because I need this and someone to talk to more than you know. In high school I had really average mild acne. I was put on topical which did nothing and since I am a girl I was put on birth control and I tried three different kinds and all made my skin WAY worse. Finally, my derm put me on accutane from July to February at 20 mg a day (I weighed 120). It cleared my skin right up I never had any problems, and my skin really stayed clear once I was off it. Or
  6. Okay so I've been on accutane for 5 and a half months. The first month i was on 40 mg everyday and by the end was starting to clear up, for the next two months my doctor bumped me up to 60 mg , and by month 4 i was on 80 mg, for months 4 and half of five i was very clear and was stoked on my accutane and how it was working, however by the end of month 5 i went on an overseas trip for a week and unfortunately missed out on two weeks of dosage, i didn't breakout too bad but my moderate acne had ca

  8. Hello everyone, It is now the fourth month and within the past 2 weeks I've broken out once, a combination of 3 whiteheads and one cyst. I am still taking 35mg/day twice a day. Overall, besides my recent breakout, I am truly beginning to see some real results! However, I'm not sure if it's the weather change or the accutane. Regardless, less acne makes me happy. Based on my time so far on accutane, here's what I have to say about the drug: 1. It HAS caused mood swings, I'm positive of it.
