  1. I have been taking isotretinoin in a relatively low dosage for almost four months. The breakouts seem to have stopped, I hope they won't return. However, my nose is full of blackheads, and milia don't seem to go away either. Can I expect those to be helped, or it's almost sure that if so far it hasn't worked for them, I will not in the future either.
  2. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. i am a 17 year old female and as of December of 2015, my face has been absolutely terrible! I had never gotten a single breakout before this and now it's been nonstop. A little backstory, my mother doesn't allow me to take any of the pills the dermatologist prescribes. So that is out of the question. I have been trying everthing except for antibiotics. I had large hormonal cysts only on my cheek/ jaw area and under that was many many milia. Around February, i began taking p
  3. I developed this white bump and It really bothers me. Is this milia? This appeared after I rubbed my eye with gloves that's made out of yarn fabric. What should I do and how can I get rid of it or to become smaller? Would Apple cider vinegar work?
  4. Hi! I have always had an issue with blocked pores/blackheads rimming my entire lip line, now they have spread to my chin. They don't all look exactly like black heads, just a blocked pore with white gunk sticking out. Sometimes, my skin feels rough. I have been using Retin A for the last month and maybe this is getting worse because of the retin a bringing everything to the surface? I do exfoliate once or twice a week. I moisturize and still not much improvement. I have spent hours trying to e
  5. Hi, I've noticed my forehead and temples have formed very small bumps. I can't tell if it's milia or if the hair follicles are raised because of blackheads. I posted a picture and it's hard to show the bumps with a camera but in person it just seems like I have bumpy skin. Does anyone have this problem?
  6. Hi, so for as long as I remember (or at least the last 4 years) I've had this weird looking chin crease. It's always slightly red from pigmentation and I've always had these little white bumps. I eat healthy, exercise, drink plenty of water, wash, moisturize, all that. And on too of that I exfoliate every 3 days and these damn things won't seem to go! First of is - what are they? Milia? If it is then why won't they go from exfoliation? Could it be anything else? And if so, how do I I about treat
  7. Hi everyone, So I have a lot of clogged pores around my cheeks and foreheads. I don't pick on them anymore as they turn into pimples soon after. Will they go on their own naturally? Is there something wrong with my daily routine? Should I use the steam method to extract my clogged pores? This is my daily routine, Morning- Clean and clear deep pore cleanser> Skinnlab Clay mask> Diluted Lemon juice for my scars> Aloe Vera Gel moisturiser. Evening- Clean and clear deep pore cl
  8. Hi, I usually don't have a lot of acne. I do have blackheads. A few days ago, I suddenly got these bumps on my forehead. They're near my hairline and in a cluster. They are skin colored, unless irritated. They're mainly visible under direct light and at an angle. They are hard but can be squeezed (I tried one unfortunately). They sometimes itch. I don't wear makeup. I usually just use plain soap for washing. I'm also well past my teens. Can someone help identify them so I can buy over the
  9. Hello Guys. I finished a 5 month accutane course 5 days ago. However I have already started to get small whiteheads and or milia. Is this normal? Could it be that the skin is starting to adjust ltself? - I'm very sad about it
  10. Hello, I've read logs from people on this website and it has helped me stick with the regimen in hopes of getting clear skin. I've decided to basically post my journey to clear skin and I hope it does the same for some other people. Quick Overview: I have "moderate acne" (mostly closed comedones and milia) which have gotten worse over the years. I've had the milia for over 6 years now (they won't go away) and the closed comedones which are recent and have been bothering me a lot la
  11. I'm so super excited! I had this huge milia bump - hard white nodule - under my left eye. It was driving me nuts for purely asthetic reasons. After it was there for a couple of months, I read that AHA might help. I've been putting in on daily for several weeks and then today, suddenly, it came right off! I didn't even need to apply much pressure, I just pulled gently and off it came. I'm so excited! This thing was huge and the only other possibility was lancing it, which seemed a bit drastic and
  12. A few weeks ago I purchased the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation since I'd heard a lot of great things about it; however, I'm beginning to think it might be causing a bit of a breakout on my skin ugh. Not a ton of pimples, but more clogged pores/comedones? especially along my jawline. I read online that this happened to some other people as well and they mentioned it being due to improper cleansing of the skin. I don't think this is the case for me since my toner pads came out clear. I'm not
  13. I suffered from acne all through high school, I am now a sophomore in college and have occasional pimples here and there and some redness, but nothing compared to what I use to suffer from. I am currently been on tretinoin generic brand of retin-A for going on 6mo. Although I now don't have acne I have these skin raised bumps that looks close to closed comedones but I can't really say for sure if that's it, milia, or something esle. From certain views you can't really see it, but in sunlight,
  14. I am 18 and I've had these bumps on my eyelids for quite some time. I am thinking they are milia, but I read that milia should go away after a few months. However, I've had the bump on my top eyelid for over 2 years and the bottom one for about 1 year. I've tried poking at them before but they are so painful and the location is too diffucult. I went to the eye doctor a year ago to get my clogged tearduct flushed and he didn't mention anything about the bumps. I had trouble getting a good quali
  15. Okay so for the past year or so I've been randomly getting outbreaks of what I first thought was whiteheads. Then, I thought it was some sort of allergic reaction. Now I think it might be folliculitis or milia. They randomly pop up ( hundreds of them) all over my face. They cause me a lot of distress and I don't know how to treat it because I don't even know what I have. They're tiny white bumps all some of them turn into just a red spot when I exfoliate. I don't have cystic acne only the occas
  16. Hi y'all. I've had these litttle white bumps on my face for about 2 years now. They could be milia, but I don't think they are. They are not very noticable, but eventually they form into pustules. I've been on accutane now for about 5 months. I stopped getting the big cysts after month 3, but still have a lot of the little white bumps left that still turn into small inflamed cysts. I mainly get them right above my chin, at the corners of my lips, and in tweet my eyebrows. I've been using BHA, an
  17. Anyone know what these bumps on my cheek are and how to get rid of them? They are very visible in sunlight and make my face look like it has a rough texture. I have had them for ages and don't seem to go away! Flesh colored bumps is best how I would describe them. I don't get much active acne anymore but these stubborn bumps have always been there. Any help would be great thanks!
  18. I have milia on my lower eyelids and upper cheeks. My dermatologist has put me on accutane for them (I don't actually have acne) but will it actually cure them? If so, how long will it take? I take one tablet every night with my dinner and there's 20mg of accutane in each tablet. Thank you.
  19. Hey y'all. so i have milia (those small bumps that NEVER seem to go away) pretty much COVERING my cheeks completely, as well as a bit of cystic acne. weirdly, my forehead is pretty much the only part of my face that is completely clear. my derm doc put me on retin a cream and amox-clav. i'm just curious if anyone has seen improvements in their milia or skin texture regarding bumpiness on the retin a. i've only been on it about 3 or so weeks, and i'm already seeing a pretty drastic initial breako
  20. Okay so I have had these tiny flesh-coloured bumps on my face for like a couple of years now. It's especially bad on my cheeks. When they first started developing, I didn't know what the hell they were, but I just let them be. However, over the past couple of months, the number of bumps has been increasing and they have been getting progressively worse (getting bigger). These bumps show up under certain lighting, e.g. When I'm standing in front of a mirror and sunlight is shining on the side of
  21. Yesterday afternoon, I had my first Dermapen session with a trained professional. She used a 1.5mm needle and put Proderm Hydrogel on my skin after the treatment. Yesterday was as expected: my face was red and a bit sore, nothing out of the ordinary. I was washing my face with tepid water and reapplying the gel every two hours as directed. This morning, however, was another story. I woke up to find my face covered in tiny white pustules, like whiteheads! It's so awful; it looks horrific and i
  22. What does the picture below looked like? I have these 3 white bumps on the right side of my face near my eyes. It doesn't itch or hurt or anything but it's really noticeable and annoying. It has been on my face for a month or so. Will it ever go away?
  23. I'm not sure where else to post this, but I've had this problem for a long time and decided to finally do something about it. Aside from the dark circles I have under and inside the corners of my eyes, I also have these small white spots there too. I lightly stretched the skin out so you could see it better. Sorry for the poor quality, it was the best picture I could take: I could be wrong, but I'm not so sure it's milia. The spots appear to be under the skin, and it doesn't feel raise
  24. hi, as of now i dont get that many pimples or crazy breakouts. http://img713.imageshack.us/img713/715/img3620th.jpg its just like that x10, all over my face. light makes it worse and i dont think makeup helps much because u can see the bumps that is closed pores right? i got jojoba oil cause i heard massaging it into your skin could clear up clogged pores? and this mask to try to clear them up too http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051AZAMW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&ps
