  1. From the album: BEFORE PROACTIVE

Hey! I've struggled with acne since about 6th grade. I'm currently a high schooler and i know firsthand acne is super tough to handle, especially as of right now in my life. i've truly tried everything, you name it. from black soap to 3 clique system treatment, I've honestly become hopeless. so why not try proactive? i tried beforehand back in my middle school days before i truly understood how to treat my skin. although, back then it didn't have much of an effect on my skin. i have decided ma
  2. So I’ve struggled with mild acne for 13 years now. I’ve tried everything under the sun. I finally went to see a dermatologist after all these years and the first thing he said to me was “try a low dose of Accutane”. Now trust me, I’ve done my fair share of research about this ‘miracle drug’. I was very apprehensive at first due to all of the side effects, especially the liver damage! However, after much deliberation I’m now on my 12th day of Accutane. The results have been pretty dra
  3. Hey guys I could really use some advice. I am 16, female and have been struggling with mild to moderate acne for a few years now. Last year, in 3 months, epiduo and doxycycline cleared my skin beautifully. Then November 2014 it started to wear off so I went to the derm and she prescribed 100 mg minocycline every night along with nightly use of ziana gel. It is now January 2015. I have been on this regimen for 3 months and have seen little improvement. Sometimes I have good weeks, but I almost al
  4. The first week I noticed a lot of the common side effects. Hoping it would help my PCOS like symptoms such as the excessive hair and mild/moderate acne right away, however, it did not. Which I knew, I just secretly wished I would be the rare case where I all of a sudden saw improvements. I experienced excessive thirst, insomnia, not too bad but in the middle of the night I would wake up for a good two hours not being able to go back to sleep. Thankfully netflix helped me with that issue. I also
  5. Hey guys, my name is Cody and I've recently visited my dermatologist about starting an accutane regimen. I first started to develop acne when I was about 14 years old, although not severe, I have always been self conscious about the way my appearance presents to other people. Growing up, I was involved with sports and continued throughout high school. During football season is when my acne would flare up at its worst. I've really only dealt with acne on my face and more specifically around the m
  6. INVITING YOU TO MY JOURNEY WITH ACCUTANE...I AM 32 YEARS OLD WITH MODEREATE ACNE STARTED OUT WITH SEVERE ACNE AND THROUGH TACKLING WITH ALL THE CREAMS AND 3 STEP SYSTEMS OUT THERE I JUST CANNOT GET RID OF IT. THROUGH NUMEROUS VISITS WITH MY DERMATOLOGIST SHE HAS FINALLY GAVE IN AND PRESCRIBED THE ACCUTANRE FOR ME..YAY!! TRUTH IS TO GET TO THE MODERATE STAGE THAT I AM IN NOW I JUST STOPPED WITH ALL THE CREAMS AND ANTIBOITICS. I WENT STRICTLY CLEANSING MY FACE WITH CETEPHIL DAILY CLEANSER AND MOIS
  7. Hi guys! I'm on my day 1 trying the Regiment! I will track my progress here from now onward and at the same time, find some quality information to cure acne problem. I have extremely oily skin so I don't know how my skin is gonna react with the BP. Hopefully I don't need to use any oil base products in my routine cause you know the first problem of oily skin at humid country (I'm currently in Singapore). Anyway now my face has lots of blackheads and whites head around my nose and my chin.
  8. Hi guys, so yesterday was my first day of taking Accutane or Roaccutane as we call it in Europe. My dermatologist prescribed me only 10mg of Accutane daily, so i decided to do weekly logs, not only because I noticed that not many people get such a low dose as 10mg daily, but also for me to note the progress. I will be taking Accutane for 6 to 8 months with possible increase of the dosage to 20mg daily after the first month. My dermatologist said 20mg is maximum that she'll ever give me. Just
  9. Hi....im 26 and been suffering from light acne on and off since my teens....i thought it would have stopped by now but no luck so far....i think its my hormones mainly so I've been on Yasmin for just over a year and i use bp 5-10% every night without fail. These light breakouts seam to be pretty continuous and new pimples appear daily. Im aware that it's mild and may look like nothing so some people but it still has shattered my self esteem. It's pretty much non existent at this point..anyone el
  10. So my skin has been improving using Ziana but on my left cheek I have still have a small cluster of those awful little under the skin bumps that seem to go away and reappear like crazy. Today they were more prominent so before showering I used a teezerman extractor tool I had and each bump pressed released a decent amount of off white/light yellow crud. I put a charcoal mask on afterwards to calm it but now its puffy around all the pores and looks swollen like a bigger zit (I hope someone knows
