  3. Hi There! I am so frustrated and I really need some help, my acne was moderately severe about a year ago, then I was put on some antibiotics and it got better but I had to stop (because... well there's a time mark). I am going back to the derm. in a few months but I don't want to be put back onto the antibiotics. BP doesn't work anymore and my face is constantly feeling oily (this happened after I had used ProActive a while back), if I drag a finger over my forehead it will typically be shiny

    Differin Cream 0.1% Logs

Hi, I have been using Adapalene (differin) cream, and have just joined Acne.org. I am starting late unfortunately, because I am starting day 15 today. As of now I have seen little to no improvement, but I have not experienced it making my skin any worse. My acne is mild-moderate, mostly blackheads and whiteheads, with about 3 inflammatory lesions (not too large, but decently sized.) In the past, I first tried Clearasil salicylic acid, with no improvement at all. I then tried Clearasil benzoyl pe
  5. I am not quite sure what level of severity my acne would fall under. I believe I have mild but persistent acne. I am seeing a derm for the first time tomorrow, and I am really hoping to get prescribed isotretinoin. I am just not sure if my acne is severe enough for the treatment, and so I don't know if it would be reasonable to ask my derm about it. Any thoughts? (pics attached)
  6. Hello! I'm 16 and I've had acne for about a year and a half now. When I first began to see the signs of it I was given Duac Once Daily Gel (at this point I had moderate acne all over my face) and this cleared up all my spots in about a month which was completely amazing and made me so much more confident! However, about 9 months later it returned, ranging from mild to moderate, concentrated only on my forehead. My cheeks and chin are completely flawless however I sometime get one or two under th

    Saw Palmetto For Girls?

Hi, I want to try saw palmetto since birth control worked for me in the past, and this is supposed to work similarly. When I went to purchase them in Walgreens the bottles actually said they were not intended for women. I was wondering what brands are alright for women to consume? Thank you!
  8. I have Oily, Acne-prone & Scar-prone skin. (yay me ;/) Hi, in July i posted a topic concerning the severity of my acne. I have attached before and after photos. i think my skin has come along way since July. It has only been two months i cannot wait to see how my face will look in 2 more months. i went to the derm and got prescribed an antibiotic called Minocycline 100mg. i also am taking Zinc supplements. This helped my skin in terms of acne breakouts tremendously although it never ful
  9. Hi. Im currently doing a modified version of the caveman regimen and im thinking afterwards (a month or so) to start using a minimize level of products if I feel its needed and Im wondering, what about just using ACV (apple cider vinegar) as a cleanser + toner morning and night (or maybe just once, but what time is best?) And then Jojoba Oil as a mosituriser? And thats it. I have mild to moderate acne (I think) and hyperpigmentation. Im also 31. My main acne are cysts, pustules, whiteheads
  10. Hey, this is my first topic here - so if I make any mistakes please tell me ) About a month i had this massive pimple on my nose. I had it for a week and it annoyed me so much that i popped it. There was pus but there seemed to be more blood than I expected. A week after that it diminished to what I have today - please look at the pictures I had this on me for a while now, and I really want to get rid of it. Can anyone tell me what I can do?
  11. I need some advice, hopefully from someone who has experienced something similar to me. I'm a 23 year old male who has had very mild acne throughout my life. In high school I would get a few pimples and red marks like most teenagers, but in college my acne mostly went away except for the occasional pimple or blemish. That all changed after I graduated college. When I was 22 I began to notice pimples popping up here and there. Over the next few months my acne gradually developed into very red
