  1. SO This is the fourth week into the process... As like my other posts I will break down this blog. SIDE AFFECTS: DRY LIPS AND FACE. I recently picked up this cerave moisturizing lotion and its like white goo. It works wonders. It works even better than than the medical moisturizer the derm prescribed. VERY DRY EYES RECENTLY. I've been noticing my eyes are extremely dry and they would water if I didn't put at least two drops of eye drops in each eye. In the hallway I would walk and it would
  2. Hi Everyone! Warning: Long Post Ahead.... So this is my first post but I felt it was necessary bc it might help others lol. I'll start off with a little background on me and my journey with acne. I've struggled with acne on and off (like 95% on) since I was 10, 11 years old, in 5th grade. I'm now 25, about to be 26. The only time it was "off" was when retin A was working when I was using it and for a few years after my 1st dose of Accutane. My acne varied between moderate to severe; when
  3. Hi everyone, I'm a 16 year old and have recently been prescribed Roaccutane. I have decided to keep a diary of my progress for people who aren't sure whether or not Roaccutane is for them. Personally I was looking forward to going on the drug. I was so sick of my skin as I have had ongoing spots since I was 12/13, but my skin got really bad since last year. Previously I had tried every product known to get rid of spots but none of them worked. I was using a skincare salicylic acid wash given
  4. Hi, I went to the dermatologist a few months ago and they prescribed Minocycline (50MG) and a topic creme Epiduo I was suppose to take one capsule, twice daily and drink 8oz of water afterwards. I did that I followed what I was suppose to do. While I was on the medicine I realized my throat had lumps in them and I was losing my appetite but I just thought it was nothing. A month went by and I ran out of Minocycline, me being the forget person I am, I forgot to get a refill so a couple weeks went
  5. Has anyone ever noticed a correlation with Adderall and a worsening of their acne after being prescribed to it? Just wondering...
  6. I'm 20 years old/ Female and I've had acne since I was 12. I had tried almost everything, from natural home remedies, to tying back my bangs, topical cremes, proactive, medicated face pad wipes, Retin-A for my hyper pigmentation and in short nothing worked. I remember making another optometrist appt completely mortified that at 19 my face had a cluster of acne on my forehead and chin. Nothing I did worked, I almost started crying at the drs office from the frustration. He looked at me and I reme
  7. hey, I have been using acanya for a while, and it significantly improved my skin. However, I've had a two week break from it and my skin started breaking out once again. I now only have dark spots and some red marks left by the pimples, and I was wondering if acanya would fade these? Or at least help them?
  8. i bought this a while ago and I've been hearing some good stuff about it. I was wondering will it do anything for my acne?
  9. Hi, About two months ago I started taking doxycycline! The only problem I had was I can't swallow pills. I usually just keep it in my mouth until I am finally able to swallow it or take it with food. I know this isn't the correct way but its the only way I can take it!!! No difference in my skin has really shown at all and I wonder if its because of the way I'm taking the pill? Should I just stop taking it? I also will add that I'm currently using retinae as well (which hasn't worked yet eithe
  10. Hi everyone thanks for visiting I am aged 25 I am facing acne from my teenage but it wasn't that severe like now. I tried using Clinique products (anti-blemish kit) it was very good later I went to laser skin clinic Australia to treat my acne scars and they suggest to use the skintitut Australian made products ,then I started to see more pimples I have spent $1000 nearly for the treatment they started the blue LED treatment to kill the bacterias before they start micro needling as my acne
  11. So my dermatologist finally prescribed me Accutane, and I have moderately severe acne that scars. My medicine is supposed to be ready to be picked up tomorrow after 3 pm, but I'm worried because my derm prescribed me only 20mg/day and i'm 17, 5'4.5, and 117 pounds (female). Do you think if I call him in the morning and ask for a higher dosage that they will change this month's from 20 to 40? Or is it too late? I don't want my acne to come back once the course is over, and my derm said I will be
  12. Just though it may be worth listing past treatments that have not worked or not! Starting with what has worked intermittently: Dermalogoica, gentle skin wash and active moist- ok between out breaks. Microdermabrasion-: fabulous but expensive Skin peel: as above. Quinoderm face wash, discontinued:-( and moisturise with aloe Vera organic Gel mixed with a few drops of tea tree oil, works intermittently depending On the time of the month. What has not worked: Minoxycycline Eurythr
  13. Hey, I'm Lauren, I'm 17 and in Scotland. I first got acne aged about 13, nothing to severe, just some spots on my forehead. Like every acne sufferer I was told not to pick them, they'd cause scars. So I didn't. Unfortunately, some people have skin that spots just scar anyway. So I got a fringe to cover those, which was great. Then they spread to between my eyes. That was fine, I just put on foundation. Then, almost over night, I woke up with no spots on my forehead, or between my eyes, but
  14. I went to the dermantologist and he prescribed me Bactrim DS. I am currently on the regimen, and now I will be taking this. My next appointment is in 2 months, and he said I should be clear or start seeing results by then (I hope he's right...). I have to take this twice by mouth daily. Has anyone else ever been on this? Any good results? Also, my skin is very red and dry and it stings all of the time... It's my second week of the regimen, is this normal?
  15. In December 2017, my doctor put me on spironolactone for my hormonal acne. It's been about three months to the date since I started it and it's done wonders! I know that it can take around 3 months to really work so I've waited to make this post until now. Currently, I'm on 100mg a day. For the most part, my acne is completely clear, considering what it used to be. I had the rocky mountains on pretty much every inch of my face except for my nose. I will still have 3-4 active blemishes at a time
  16. I don't know what to do anymore. I am a 16 year old male and has had acne for the past 4 years, each year getting increasingly worse. At first it didn't really bother me, people wouldn't say anything about it and it was only mild. The second year I started to take medication prescribed by the doctor, and my acne came incredibly worse, I've tried every medication except accutane. After that I moved to all natural except for the minocycline, using home remedies which helped a lot more than the med
