  1. I like to think that I have my skin under control now, and honestly I don't even know how it happened. Everything I use you can get at Target.. I went back to my trusty Clean & Clear Sensitive Foaming Facial Cleanser. So in the morning I wash with the Clean & Clear cleanser, moisturize with Cetaphil lotion, and do my makeup.. Almay Clear Complexion foundation really keeps my skin looking amazing, just not soo much when it's on. It kind of cakes up and slides off. But I have yet t
  2. WHAT?!?! MY SKIN IS CLEAR... I woke up this morning and low and behold... clear skin!! Except for a monster one near my eyebrow that's been hanging around for a while. I bought some Burt's Bees Chamomile Cleansing Cream for the first time and I REAAAAAALLY like it! The ingredients seem a little harsh for someone with skin problems but honestly I haven't had any irritation thus far (plus it smells like fruity pebbles). Note: I have VERY sensitive skin. Along with the new cleans
  3. New blog so I can post photos! Duh! For your reference... this is me: Meet Natalie! Today at work...I'm dead. I'm so sleep deprived I have no idea how I'm still functioning. I ate and I feel sick. It's about 4pm. I'm ready to go home and sleep. I had to start this blog because my other one ran out of MB??? I don't even know. Ain't nothin' changed...Drinkin' tea...Workin'...YOU already KNOOOOW. photos with my hair down are last night and today with my hair up at work looking like death hah
  4. It's difficult to say that sometimes, and especially harder to mean it. But we are our own worst critics and we have to give ourselves compliments now and then and look past the acne or post-acne marks. Progress is progress, and that's all you can hope for. You also must acknowledge that acne does NOT control your life by any means. Who cares if you have a few "imperfections," you look good! I try to keep my regimen as SIMPLE and NON-IRRITATING as possible. That being said, I use a clean
  5. Well, I'm back to using my Burt's Bees Deep Cleansing Cream face wash.. I couldn't be more satisfied. How could a cleanser make a woman so damn happy?!?! I will continue to use my homemade green tea toner as it seems to be calming my skin down and when I wake up I have fairly healthy looking skin (I'm getting there). My acne is to a minimum, and that's after BP and SA had their way with my pores! :S On another note, I can't wait to receive the samples of this Alima Makeup I
  6. Hey guys, I was researching online about the effects of manuka honey on acne and I found an interesting paper that looked at the effect of Manuka honey in combination with manuka tree oil(MTO) and green tea extract(GTE) on P. acne. In this paper http://mro.massey.ac.nz/handle/10179/2997 they found that honey-based creams containing MTO and GTE exhibited strong activities against the growth of P. acne in vitro. The results: Five bioactives (Manuka tree oil, lavender essential oil,
  7. Hey, I'm a 15 year old male with rather severe acne. I've tried many creams and home remedies and none seem to work for me. I've got hormonal acne, and not sure what to do about it. I'm on a diet, I barely eat chips, lollies and all the foods that tend to make acne worse. I do not drink any soft drinks, only water. I've recently been using this "Manuka Honey Blend" product and it seems like it's been clearing my acne. Every morning and night I apply it and leave it on for an hour. My parents st
  8. I been doing at home chemical peels from MUAC, i started with the 25% MAndelic acid for acne and pigmentation and scars left by acne after a series of 3 peels i move up to 40% mandelic acid peel. The first time i did this peel it took my skin about 6 days to completely heal , i used manuka honey +15 during the 3 day (Every Night) when my skin was a bit flaky and it speed up the healing i think im not sure. My question was [ Will manuka honey help the skin heal faster after any type of chemical
  9. Oh my freaking goodness. Could this really be the end of an era? Let me explain: I've been on the search for something, anything, to help me clear my acne for the last 6 or 7 years. It has been a such a terrible, self-esteem crushing, defining struggle-- and I think maybe I've found my answer. In 2012, I was suffering from deep, painful cystic acne and painful, inflamed skin. I'd been using Neutrogena Oil-Free acne scrub (had been for a long time) and was washing basically morning and nig

Hey y'all. Same ish as usual. Just working my butt off. For the past week or so, I have been taking my walk around the lake in the mornings usually at 10:45-11:45 or sometimes 11:45-12:45. Depends on how work is goin and if shit pops off. I've been getting good sun. The morning sun is the BEST. It's currently 93 degrees where I'm at. AND NO BREEZE LOL. I have not been putting argan oil on my face in the mornings-- just at night before I put on my aloe. So my routine for the past two nights ha

It's 10:25am right now...Work is KA-RAZZZZY. I'm going on my walk after I eat a snack. Yayyyy. its almost 8:30pm I'm going to lay down and rest I'm dead I'll deal with life tomorrow
  12. Hey y'all. I'm feeling a bit desperate and hoping for some advice! To preface: I have acne-prone, oily/dry/flaky combination skin since about age 12 (I'm now 25). My diet is fairly good - no dairy, very little sugar/flour/gluten, lots of fruits and veggies and lean protein. In early March (almost 3 months ago) I began the switch over to all-natural products for my cleansing/moisturizing routine. I used raw organic manuka honey to cleanse and jojoba oil to moisturize. I saw an initial improvem

My Quest For Clear Skin, Naturally

Hi Everyone, I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I want to share my history with acne and my current journey to (hopefully) clear skin. I'm 26/f. I have had acne since I was about 12, but it wasn't very severe for most of my life. I've used most drugstore topical products (I used Clean & Clear for a long time, followed by Burt's Bees, AcneFree, Proactiv, etc.). Then I went to a dermatologist, who prescribed Epiduo with Cetaphyl gentile face wash. That worked for a while, unt
  14. Hi. Im 31 and have sensitive oily skin. So 13 days ago I started a new 'mostly natural products only' regimen. It has been going well and ive noticed my acne pigmentation has definitely reduced quite a bit. Ive also been eating more healthy fats as my diet was very very low in them. Im now drinking 3 Litres of water a day, everyday, with a total of 3 tablespoons of ACV. Together there has been a big improvement since its only been 13 days. Id still get some whiteheads coming and going but no

    Please try Manuka Honey!

Hello! Only a week and a half ago I felt depressed and ugly...on the day of my graduation (sad face) But thankfully make up exists...but then led to my skin worsening! Straight after I went back to my "home home" in Bristol (I live in Manchester now) and had a relaxed week off. I got home complaining constantly about my skin to my dad and other family members (don't we all) but as I had loads of spare time I looked up home remedies as my mum was very into that sort of stuff! I found Manuka h
  16. Manuka honey is known to have many healing properties and charcoal is known to draw impurities. Heres what i do as a spot treatment to replace benzoyl peroxide and other harsh drying products. I get some manuka honey that i bought at a vitamin store you want it to be 16+ activation or more. This just shows how potent the manuka honey is. I also bought activated charcoal tablets at the same vitamin store. So what i do is pop one of the tablets open and mix some of the charcoal with the manuka ho

Hey y'all. Happy thursday! I did not take my N-A-C this morning. And I'm going to be taking a break off taking that, for a little while. I ate like 10,000 calories today. Not really more like 2700 but I walked over 5 miles for sure because I charged my phone so I didn't have it on me for an hour and I still walked almost 5 miles today. Plus most of those calories are from nuts lol, deeeeez nuts. im looking into what it takes to be a paralegal. So yeah, that's what ya girl Natalie is do
