  1. Introduction Quite new to all of this, so I'll start of by introducing myself - I'm Daniel and 18 years old. Evidently by embarking on this blog, I'm sure you've guessed I've had an uphill battle with acne, roughly since the onset of puberty. A bit about my background is that I'm of African heritage, Nigerian to be specific and born and bred in England, I've researched a bit into the epidemiology of acne relating to ethnicity, and I'm aware there are certain things my skin type is more prone to
  2. Im a British 14 year old girl, i take really good care of my skin and i never forget to wash my face or take my make-up off...I have mild/moderate acne and it's horrible. It absolutely rules my life, I won't leave the house without make-up on, I try to avoid any situations where my make-up could get rubbed off, I've come up with a million excuses at school for not going swimming so that my friends don't see what my skin is like... They all have perfect, glowing skin and I feel so ugly being the
  3. Hi all I am 20 and I have for the 1st time ever developed really bad acne on my back, and shoulders and the odd spot on my face.I first got the acne on my chest and it wasn't severe at all, but now I have it in the above locations and it is moderately severe. I first noticed this when I started going to the gym and doing intensive weight training so I think it may be either due to androgen increases or sweating a lot. I think it may be due to the sweating because I didn't take a shower a
  4. Hi all, I'm Carly I'm new to the site and wanted to share my experience to gather advice and find people who have had similar issues and thus find out if and how they've treated it. So right now I'm suffering with some pretty nast scalp acne/scalp folliculitas. I've combed the internet for answers and there just seems to be som much conflicting info on the subject that I either end up baffled or horrified!!!! Here's my background. I'm 30 year old female, suffered with moderate to sev
  5. I went to my doctor about my acne and he prescribed me with lymecycline capsules and acnecide 5% gel, I tried a gel called duac previously and it didn't seem to work very well, just wondering if the lymecycline capsules and acnecide gel will work any better? And if it has worked for anyone else?
  6. Hi all, I have had acne since I was 14/15 and I am now 19. My acne is only on my chin and nowhere else, not even my jawline. It is also worth noting that I don't have any symptoms of PCOS either. Firstly, I tried all the topical creams, none worked. I then got put on Dianette and have been on and off it for years. When I have been on it, my acne has disappeared completely! After coming off Dianette the spots returned and I have been put on lymecycline which has made my
