  1. stuff i've learnt about acne and some of my thoughts regarding the subject. -researching acne is 100% important when trying to "cure" yourself. there is different types of acne. all have specific treatments. (some skin problems are not even acne) - it important to educate yourself on post acne marks & acne scars + how to treat them. it is easy to mistake post acne/ skin damage for active acne. -sodium lauryl sulfate (aka "SLS" for short) is an ingredient in most acne soaps but shoul
  2. Lumps won't go away. It has been 6 months since my treatment. Had 3 cortisone injections so far. Massaged area 2x a day for months as advised per dermatologist. I have 2 lumps on the left side of my face and one on my right. Juat won't go away. What else can I try? it is really sad to go through this procedure to make my face more presentable and then end up with lumps!! Anybody has advice on what else I can do? The doctor does not seem worried. But I would like these lumps gone... and soo
  3. I am now 30 years old. I did not have serious acne problem on my face until the age of 27. Since the age of 27, my face started to have acne as shown in the images as attached. They usually start with ittle lumps under the skin. If I apply pressure to it, luckily there will be some “grease” in white color coming out from the pore, but more often the grease fails to come out, and the area becomes darker and darker, water starts to diffuse out of the area. Then the area starts to become painful, a
  4. Hi, So i've used the regimen for about a year now... and I am currently clear with maybe very small pimples here and then. However, I've had a month of mid semester exams for university.... and this might be stress related, i don't know... but lately... well, maybe for the past week? Small red, pimple-like lumps are coming up. These ARENT pimples... they're very small... much like very sand-grain sized (smaller than that) little lumps under the skin... Is this just irritation? or
  5. If you have acne on either side of your chin or lower mouth then please read this - It may not be hormonal acne after all! For the past couple of years, I have struggled with (what I thought was) horrible hormonal acne below my mouth, on either side of my chin. It would sometimes go through phases of being more/less fierce, but was usually very prominent. The 'acne' consisted of several lumps/pustules, some of which were pussy and some of which weren't, but it was frequently itchy and painfu
  6. Hello folks, I've had severe acne when I was younger (7 years ago) and moderate acne on my chin ever since. Recently, when I began inspecting my skin more, I noticed these white lumps on both sides of my face. Are they acne scars or something else? Other information I got is: I dry shave with an electric shaver I have been using a lot of moisturisers because I have dry skin in the climate where I live. I used Epiduo and Tetralysal to combat the acne I had on my chin, when this dis
  7. I have three large, painless lumps on the tip of my nose that keep getting bigger and have ruined the shape of it. My nose is no longer symmetrical, and looks way bigger than it really is. I have been recently suffering from what I am assuming is cystic/nodular acne (because the dermatologist I went to was of no help and did not give me a diagnosis, just expensive topical prescriptions). They are the deep, hard lumps that will appear anywhere on my face. Some of them hurt, but most of them are p
  8. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about these spots/lumps I have on my chest? I have had them for a few years now and I have no idea what they are. They are under the skin, but stick out. They feel like small lumps under the skin, they are not painful at all. If anyone has an idea what they may be, your help would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much for your help.

  10. Hi, I just want to give a bit of background history: I have always had closed comedones/whiteheads on my chin since I was 15, Now I am 22. I have previously been on Benzoyl Peroxide to get rid of them. However they never left. I was't too bothered because you cant see them until i stretch my chin out. Now at 22, these spots have started to cover majority the lower half of my face, I have never had this before. When I squeeze them either a hard clear seed comes out, or a stringy white subst
  11. Hi guys, This is my first post ever on this forum. I have never used this before, so please help me. I am a 19 year old chinese boy. Have been having just the rare pimple appearing since 16-19. But about 5 months ago. I started noticing that I looked to have swollen lymph nodes around my neck area. Also, I noticed some skin coloured lumps appearing near/below my ear, and around my jaw line. I still have the occasional pimple and huge zit. So I used BP and SA on both of them, including th
