  1. Whenever I apply Cerave + 4-5 drops of jojoba oil after bp, the bp immediately clumps up, turns white, and is just super hard to rub all over my skin. Whenever I mix in AHA+ with the Cerave and jojoba oil, however, this doesn't happen and everything goes on smoothly. Does anybody have any advice to stop clumping and/or an explanation of why AHA+ doesn't cause clumping?

  3. Hi, everyone. I'm using the regimen for almost a month now. And I'm getting very positive results. The only thing is my skin in the jawline area is always dry, the moisturizer doesn't seem to be really working on that particular area but I use more moisturizer and other moisturizer when I'm out so that's not really my problem. My problem is what can I use on my face for the upcoming winter? I know the regimen's moisturizer won't be enough. I live in Canada and it usually gets up to 40 degre
  4. Has anyone else experienced getting only half bottles when you ordered them? Disappointed
  5. Hey there. New to these forums. I'm a 24 year old male still suffering from acne. I need to be put on some new course of treatment because my current one (will get into details) is working but not 100% effective ans is also making my face red/dry and extremely irritated. 1) I am currently on 100mg Minocycline twice daily. Which has worked the best out of the drugs I've tried. (I've been though the entire book and tried all meds). 2:) I wash my face with Nutregina (spelling) acne free daily
  6. Alba Botanica Aloe & Green Tea Oil Free Moisturizer has anyone else had any experience with this lotion i tried it once and it was light and moisturizing .. how is it long term? http://www.amazon.com/Alba-Botanica-Moisturizer-Hawaiian-3-Ounce/dp/B001ET7BPS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1324357327&sr=8-2
  7. I was recently prescribed Clindamycin/Benzoyl peroxide cream to use once in the morning and once at night with my regular skin care routine. If I apply moisturizer first, and then the C/BP cream, it doesn’t “pill” or roll up. But everywhere I’ve read says to apply the prescription cream first. So, when I do prescription cream first (followed by moisturizer), I get these weird tiny dots that feel like sand. It doesn’t matter which moisturizer I try it with. I think I’m going to go to Walmart
  8. People were telling me how apple cider vinegar could really help with my skin issues if I rubbed some on my face as a toner. So that's what I did; I put some on a cotton pad and rubbed it on my face. It burned a little but I didn't really think about that at the time. I wake up the next morning and my skin is literally red. Almost like it's been burnt, just raw and red. It's been two days and it's not dying down. Help!! What do I do???? Will it scar? How do I heal my skin?? Would aloe Vera help?
  9. Hey, my name is Evert! i turned 16 in November. i've never had bad acne, but less than a half a year ago i started to get these blemishes on my cheeks. no bumps. about 2 months ago it started to get a bit more noticeable specially on my right cheek, but still nothing bad. even when i talked about it with my friends they told me that i'm stupid and it's not even close to bad. But i still thought it was horrible so i started using face-wash every morning and evening that was it. later on it got a
  10. I literally have tried every possible solution. I have had acne for over 20 years now and I know first hand the emotional damage that alters your personality and causes terrible depression. Often I have just wanted to die or live alone forever. I have tried every single product on the planet and nothing worked. I was having some other health issues that led me to take a product called plexus. It partly involved a pro biotic and a bio cleanse pill that I took every day. That stared help
  11. Hello all, So I got off acctuane three months ago. I started a retinoid(differin .1 gel) twoish weeks ago. I recently switched moosturizers because I was using cetaphil spf 2x a day and it was terrible! Didn't moisturize, stung, and had chemical sunscreen. I switched to cerave moisturizing lotion last Friday, and I love it. My skin(except for my forehead) is pretty smooth. I have been getting more clogged pores than usual on my forehead. Do you think this is do to the moisturizer or the differ
  12. I use the clindamycin phosphate lotion everyday after I take a shower and then wash it off before I go to bed but even the littlest amount makes my skin shiny and oily and I don't know whether its helping or making my acne worse. I'm not even sure exactly what the lotion does but my doctor prescribed me it. What should I do ?
  13. Hi I'm an 18 year old male and have been on accutane for about a little over a month I was put on 20 mg once a day for the first month then I was put on 30 mg for this month once a day. And I was wondering what face soap and lotion to use? I've been using cetaphil antibacterial bar soap every morning and night then after I wash I use cetaphil face lotion with SPF 15 it's works but my my face is ether always red or pink my skin isn't dry becuase I use lotion and my face is soft but it's always re
  14. Hello all! I'm having a bit of trouble with my skincare regime, thought I would reach out and see if any of you can give me some tips (: I currently only wash my face with acne.org cleanser or spectro gel cleanser for acne prone skin (if my skin is feeling too dry.) My issue is that if I use the spectro too long my skin starts to break out because it's not as drying, and doesn't fight off the oil as good as the acne.org cleanser.. So my skin is usually in a battle with dryness. My other is
  15. Which moisturiser is best to use to clear flaky skin? The acne.org moisturiser seems to break a lot of people out (and has mainly bad reviews) and I don’t think it will be great for me, is E45 lotion any good or does E45 break a lot of people out too? What moisturiser is best for people with oily skin that also is a bit flaky and dry in areas (I want one that is non comedogenic and won’t break me out)?

    Acne.org tips

Some tips for using the regimen that I have found thus far: Firstly- the key is to follow what Dan says and not just use the products how you've always used acne products if you want it to actually work. 1) For me, the thick layer of benzoyl all being applied and lightly smeared and then the thick lotion being applied and smeared lightly (after the benzoyl dried of course) made me feel really sticky and goopy like I had a thick layer of stuff on my face. So to help with this I applied (still
  17. Its been about one year since i started my treatment! Lots to update everyone about. My skin is doing great, but not perfect! I do have some hyperpigmintation from the acne left over, but I don't really break out anymore Clear skin!..? Skin Picking After my 30 day picking challenge, I had no urge to pick anymore! Success! Lol but it doesnt mean i don't pick at all anymore. If i have a massive blackhead sticking out of my face, i will pick it. The only difference now is that I don't FIND un
  18. I went to a derm to take care of what may be a keloid on my back, and they prescribed some topical acne products. They said that because I had a keloid on my back, and I have had acne on my back in the past, we should take care of my acne to prevent future keloids (if I have scarring type acne). I was told to buy a 10% benzoyl peroxide wash otc, and I have two scripts, one is a benzoyl peroxide gel treatment, the other is tretinoin aka Retin-A. I've washed my face three times with the wash (as i
  19. I keep hearing everyone talk about how acne.org talks about substitute products. Now I don't know if it's because I'm in Canada... but I don't see this information ANYWHERE! All I want to know is a good and comparable substitute for the acne.or cleanser and moisturizer. So if anyone can answer that for me or link me to that information that would be SUPER! I love the benz and I will keep on that but shipping is around 30$.... so it's really not ideal to be getting orders very often with that pri
  20. Similar to my last post... I am in DIRE need of recommendations. I am a true believer in the comedogenic scale, however, I have found about 4 scales, and some have additional information than others. To be frank, I have literally checked out hundreds of products' ingredients...every single ingredient, for hundreds of products, against these scales, to find anything that literally has zero comedogenic ingredients. I also learned than many ingredient names have other more technical names
  21. Hi I am currently using Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. It works but dries out my skin. Can somebody please recommend me a good moisturizer to use that will moisturize my face well after using benzoyl peroxide? Also normally I have combination skin oily t zone but benzoyl peroxide makes my face dry after use.
  22. So I'm 16 (with 'moderate' hormonal acne) and I've been using Benzaclin (in the pump) for about two days now. I use it just after I've washed, at night before I go to bed. Now the thing is, I have a few questions about it. It would be great if any of you can help me. First of all-- Is it really alright to just use it once (as prescribed by my doctor) at night, but then wash it away in the morning? I'm set to use it like this for only 3 months and throw any remaining gel away. Then, anothe
  23. I have a very hard time trying to find a sunscreen and moisturizer for my skin. And I need one badly! I have dry skin type and on top of that I use BP at night. The moisturizers I used seemed to give me little bumps and acne I have tried - Proactive's Green Tea moisturizer - Clean and clear dual action moisturizer - Neutrogena's sensitive skin moisturizer (really wanted that one to work) - Cetephile cream moisturizer - Simple skincare's face mousturizer As far as sunscreen...I am
  24. Hi people! I was 18 and prescribed Accutane by my dermatologist in Montréal, Québec. He gave me 40mg for 6 months. What a journey! I had very dry lips. Other than that, not too much. Dry skin and occasional nose bleeds, but the dry weather didn't help. I put on lotion and sesame oil for my nose and it's all good! It's been 6 months since I've been off Accutane. My acne has cleared up, but I still receive infrequent pimples here and there. I'm for any questions or concerns! Thanks for rea
  25. Hello Everyone! I am a newbie here so help me get the rules right please. I have recently started using a new routine for my face for about a week and a half or so. I use............ Zapzyt Cleanser(Salicylic Acid) Acnefree Toner (Witch Hazel, Glycolic Acid, etc.) Acnefree Repair Lotion (BP 3.7%) Olay Everyday Moisturizer (SPF 15) And I am happy to report it helps my face! A little bit... BUT. My face peels like CRAZY! Peeling everywhere, sometimes people notice, and my sk
