  1. Hi everyone! It has been forever since I have been on here, but I had to return to say thanks! My junior year my acne was at it's complete worst. I was even using cover-up as a dude to try and hide it. I was practically dying on the inside. By the end of my junior year, I got desperate and began to look for help, and I came across this site, which was little more than a forum at the time. It gave me everything I needed, it gave me emotional support, knowing others where out there. I found tr

    Week 1

I was gonna simply go dairy free but since i dont eat that much meat and i have recently seen some animal videos i decided to try veganism for 6 months in hopes of results. so far no new break outs have been puting lemon juice on my skin every other day and it is glowing! i see my scars diminition already but its probably my imagination, its too soon:) i am taking a nutrition class in college so i am eating alot of vegitibles, beans, and tons of fruit. i am drinking about 10 glasses of wate
  3. I was using a honey and lemon juice mask and my skin seemed to be improving slowly. I added oatmeal to the mask because of the positive things people say about it. My skin has gotten worse since adding oatmeal. Not too much worse but I noticed it. I'm wondering if my skin just doesn't like oatmeal or if I'm going through a purging process? Has anyone dealt with this?

    Diane-35

I'm 21 and I think it's been almost 8 years since I've left the house without make-up. My acne started when I was 13. I actually remember being the only girl in my year who wore foundation. How embarrassing is that? Later in high school more girls wore foundation, but there was a year or two where I was the only one. There was even a time where a teacher tried to make me to go the bathroom to wash off my foundation (I only wore foundation and powder for oiliness, no mascara etc.) because
  5. I have heard some say that when the use lemon/ lime juice they experience irritation. One thing I have found is the use of honey, preferably local, helps to reduce the slight discomfort. All you do is smear a little on the lemon/ lime wedge, or mix a little in with the lemon/ lime juice. Does anyone else have any other tips? Hope this has helped.

    Lemon Juice In A Bottle?

So after reading a bunch of reviews on using lemon juice to treat hyperpigmentation (of which I am an extreme victim) I decided to try it out. It seems most people have been using actual lemons, but I was wondering if pre-bottled lemon juice would work. The little red flag for me was the label reading "from concentrate with added ingredients" right below the "ReaLemon" logo. Will bottled lemon juice work or should I not even bother?

  8. So I've had acne for three years and I'm 18. It was very depressing through high school and even to this day getting photos with people.mi have acne just on my chin and I'm a guy. I never get pimples anywhere else but my chin. I've tried just about every treatment you can name from antibiotics (apart from accutane) and every natural treatment. NOTHING WORKS. I came across lemon juice well searching for treatments, this is my last resort I think ill give up after this. After three days the rednes
  9. I like to think that I have my skin under control now, and honestly I don't even know how it happened. Everything I use you can get at Target.. I went back to my trusty Clean & Clear Sensitive Foaming Facial Cleanser. So in the morning I wash with the Clean & Clear cleanser, moisturize with Cetaphil lotion, and do my makeup.. Almay Clear Complexion foundation really keeps my skin looking amazing, just not soo much when it's on. It kind of cakes up and slides off. But I have yet t
  10. Hey guys, So I'm brand new to this website and I have a question regarding my acne and what i should do. So a little about me, my name is Dominick and I am 20 years old. I have been suffering from severe acne for most of my life. I had severe acne on my face for many years until I found a gift from the heavens called isolaz treatments. If you are unfamiliar with this, It's a laser treatment where you go to a place that does it and they basically put creams on your face along with the laser. This
  11. Yes lemon juice, that stuff that comes in a yellow bottle that you can get at any grocery store. I learned while reading this forum that I had extremely oily skin. Well the lemon juice did one hell of a job burning away everything and drying up my skin. I would then apply my over night bp topical on top of it. You don't have to do this, it is just something I do since I am to lazy to wash the lemon juice off then apply my bp at nights. I want to say theoretically that the lemon juice rem

    Six Months

I remember when I first got put on accutane they said it would be for 6 months. Well happy six months, if all went well I would now be done. I had my last appointment about 2 weeks, had another injection into my check, darn thing is persistent. I am back on antibiotics, E-Mycin these ones are called and they are suppose to stop the bacteria that is causing any lumps.. and I have to stay on these until I return in about 2 months. right now my face is completely dot free. flat and with make up you
  15. I have had these brownish dark spots under my eyes for a few months, and at first I thought it was just dark circles or hyperpigmentation but now I'm pretty sure they are melasma. I probably got it from hormonal imbalances since it started appearing in the wintertime, and I think it may have gotten worse with sunlight although I always wear sunscreen outside. Does anyone know anything that would help it? I'm hoping that by reducing stress and trying to balance my hormones naturally & with vi

    Lemon, Lavender Day 1

So this is the first day I'm trying my new regimen I hope with help. My face has been super itchy throughout every single day with any product I use on it. Today I decided to try Lavender oil because I know it's used for calming irritation. I'm using Aveeno Complexion Clearing foaming cleanser morning and night and going to be using the lavender oil as a toner morning and night, using the lemon juice before the lavender at night and than using Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer morning a

  18. Hi everyone! First time poster here. I have been using Ziana at night for about 8 weeks now. I definitely had a severe breakout during the first few weeks, but I have seen improvement recently, though I do have some work to do. It hasn't dried or irritated my skin; if anything, it's slightly more oily. I have fair skin so it has left me with some marks, mainly around my chin and jaw line. Not too long ago I read about topically applying lemon juice and was very surprised to see it had high
  19. In my earlier entries I was convinced my acne was severe. After a lot of research, I am relieved to say I do NOT have cystic acne, nor anything close. My acne is very mild, some would call it a grade 1 or 2 out of a grade 5, or a 1-2 on a scale of 0-8, 8 being cystic acne. This gives me hope because it means that my acne which is hormonal, is extremely treatable and preventable. I recently cured it by going on DIM and now I will continue to do so. (Had to go off it cause I thought it was unsafe

    OOPS

Ello ello I began writing a blog about my accutane experience on here a couple of years ago, but I stopped writing after the second week Which I now regret, as I am starting on course number 2, and would have really loved to have a reference longer than 2 weeks to look back on! I stopped taking accuatane the first time round after 4 months, and I guess it was too soon. I had cleared up so incredibly well and all my scars had even faded and I felt incredible. Then a few months ago I began b
