  1. Hey, I start my first prescription of isotretinoin/accutane tomorrow and I'm wondering what the best skincare products are to use? I bought a Cetaphil moisturiser today, as well as a La Roche-Posay cleanser, lipbalm and moisturiser. Do people recommend getting a Cetaphil cleanser too? Possibly a body wash and body lotion? Everything else I have at the moment is scented and will be too harsh on my skin whilst on the meds. Any advice is really appreciated. Lizzie x
  2. Hi all About a week ago I started using La Roche-Posay products. I use their Effaclar Duo+, Purifying Foaming Gel and Astringent Lotion. I wonder, should I use the Duo+ cream in the morning or in the evening? It has only 40ml and I'm supposed to apply it on my whole face, so applying it both in the morning and evening would be rather expensive. My pharmacist said to use it during the day, but I've seen in the ingredients that there are a few acids. Shouldn't I be worried that it may damag

    Day Twenty-Five

And I've changed my regime again! Just washing with water doesn't seem to do enough, and the epsom was making my face really red and irritated. It was certainly bringing the infection to the surface of my skin (loads of new whiteheads) but I think it's too harsh to use everyday. So, seeing as my skin seems to have become intolerant to pretty much everything, I asked around and a friend recommended the La Roche Posay products. I've seen them before, but never actually tried them. The bottles

    Still waiting

Sigh...my prescription did not come on Saturday, and I don't know if it will come today or tomorrow. Feeling pretty pissed off about it all. My skin is sooo awful right now. I've temporarily stopped with the BP as it's so drying; my clear skin is almost as red as the spotty skin. I've been re-reading my blog and have come to the conclusion that BP was probably the solution to getting my skin clear after I came off the first round of antibiotics. And it worked fairly quickly - 5 weeks is all it t
  5. Hello, Firstly let me just say that my acne is moderate to severe, I have tried everything... From highstreet brand, to yesto natural range, to high end products.. Without exaggerating. Easily thousands of £ over the years. I decided to try one more range before giving up and going to a dermatologist,, this being la roche-posay effaclar. The duo+ and purifying wash. After using it for a few days, all the red marks started purging.. Look horrid but it isn't the cheapest so I thought ah hell,

    1 Week Update

Hello ello ello, So today marks my 1 week of being on Roaccutane. So far, I haven't had many side effects apart from the dry skin which is mainly around my nose and mouth. My skin is a little red but nothing major, kinda just looks I've a bit of a tan on my face so I can't complain! The last few days I've been getting white heads in places I wouldn't usually get them like higher on my cheeks and 2 on my forehead where I NEVER get spots. I find some of them go and come back in the same place
