Overall, I don't have too much of a problem with my skin (anymore). I had mild to moderate acne in middle/high school, but a combination of hygiene, birth control pills, and diet have cleared things up pretty well for me. Occasionally, though, I find myself with a bit of cystic acne. Serious cystic acne. Painful, hard bumps that stay for weeks. Sometimes they drain, sometimes they don't. All of the time they are very, very painful and swollen. The last time I suffered from one of the
  2. A few years ago, I was told by my dermatologist that I needed Kenalog injected on each and every single keloid scar spot on my chest. I was nervous at first because I have a very low tolerance in pain. After a few months of injections once a month, I got sick and tired of it. I realized I was just simply unable to handle the needle pain of each injection. I know I'm a grown man but every single injected spot feels like a knife stabbing my chest. It just hurts really badly. I asked the dermato
  3. Does anyone know what the dosage amount of Kenalog is injected into acne by a dermatologist? For example, how many mg goes into any given pimple?
  4. I have a small growing keloid on my earlobe... Do I have to get it excised or is it possible to get rid of it through injections?
  5. I have developed severe hypopigmentation after injection of kenalog / hydrocortisone shots for multiple hypertrophic / keloid scars on my face. Some of my skin seem to be now completely depigmented and is extremely bright and light, some are much lighter but not too bright. I've read a bit but it seems treatment is limited. Any one with similar issues? What are the available treatments such as retin-a, dermarolling, lasers and such...? Or am i out of luck?
  6. TIME PASSES SO SLOWLY ON THIS STUPID DRUG. Oyyyyyy. Alright, so it's day 19. My break out has faded, BUT something weird has happened. I'm taking to the internet to try and figure out what it is. Basically in spots close to where I had kenalog dents (bad girl, I know), I've broken out in small bumps that look like pimples but aren't sore or really red. The doctors say it's just the pits filling in and the skin repairing itself (I've had a lot of kenalog in this area)... Is this true?
  7. Have a nodule from subcision, and had 1 round of kenalog. When I touch it, seems to have flattened the nodule, but visually kinda looks the same. Does kenalog actually treat the nodule or just flatten all the skin?
