  1. Im 18 and 175lbs Alright, here is the start of my accutane journal. Im excited to try accutane and I hope to see results without too much of an initial breakout. I'm already on my 5th day of taking the drug. I didnt notice any side effects yet exept a tiny dryness. My doc put me on 30mg but I started with : 10mg for the first 2 days 20mg 3rd day 30mg 4th day I have my next appointment on march 12th at another derm because I visited a private one when I got is prescribed. Now I hope th
  2. Hi everyone! I just picked up my first Accutane (Absorica) prescription (40mg once a day), and will begin taking it later this week! I just wanted to keep a log of my experience and maybe help others who are thinking about using it! I have had moderate to severe acne ever since I can remember, probably starting around 7th grade. I am now 21, and I am still struggling with it. I have tried topical creams, antibiotics, and every secret home remedy, but to no success. It has definitely affected my
  3. HI all! Apologies if a bit of my post is repeated from my previous one, I wanted to start a Roaccutane log and put it in the correct subtopic. I have tried everything there pretty much is when it comes to combating acne. My skin is still crazy bad. My acne is bright red, under the skin lumps, with no head and my picking ..whilst it's better ..when I have something to pick at, i'll pick at it. I end up with open red sores all over my face. My anxiety is pretty much under control and
  4. Hey all I have been following acne.org for a while but it never occurred to me to actually sign up and write a personal log until now because I am so frustrated with my acne and would like to share my journey with everyone with the various products i use until i succeed! anyway this log will be about retin-a aka tretinoin. One thing is certain, I hate acne. 3 weeks ago marked the start of a brand new Regimen for me, RETIN A (0.025% cream). I think that by making this diary and posting picture
  5. Hey guys! DAY 1 I've literally only just found this site after taking my first 30mg dose of accutane and its been insanely helpful in letting me know what to expect, so I thought it was only fair for me to do a log too! I have struggled with acne for about three years now, with many various trips to the doctors and trying loads of different lotions and potions which had no use. I remember I even had one doctor who whenever I went for a checkup shouted at me saying it was my diet and I shouldn'
  6. I went to my doctor last Tue on the 1st Oct 2013 for some acne treatment. I am in my mid 20s now and have been dealing with acne for almost 15yrs. The type of acne I've gotten has changed over the years. In the last couple of years, my breakouts tends to be concentrated on the lower half of my face, specifically, around the mouth and on the chins. Occasionally, i do get a huge breakout on the sides of my cheeks, forehead or on my nose bridge, but those are far less frequent than the painful
  7. I'm on week 2 of the regimen and I am starting college in 9 days! I tried putting makeup on yesterday (bare minerals powder makeup) and it looked horrible, my face was so oily that I just looked so shiny and it didn't cover up my acne very well at all because it went all patchy.. How long do you recommend putting the moisturiser on for before putting makeup on?? Thanks
  8. Hi, I'm a 17 year old male and I have recently started taking a low-dose treatment of accutane (20mg a day) to help clear my medium acne. I have taken 6 pills now, and I am already experiencing dry/peeling skin on the face and mildly chapped lips. I notice sometiemes that my skin looks redder than usual. Is it normal to experience such side effects this early in the treatment, as I am on o low-dose treatment? But this is what I'm experiencing right now: I have not had any new spots since ab
  9. Hey guys. I'm new here. Anyways, as most of you-- I basically tried EVERYTHING there is to offer in the market but nothing ever worked for me. Ever since I was 10 (which was when I first started having my periods and now I'm 19 nearly 20), I was already experiencing acne breakouts. My mom would send me to the best dermatologist every Saturday in my city 'til I was 13. Constant extraction from the doc. Constant shit on my face and it would never ever stop! So my dermatologist then suggested
  10. Hi All, I've been lurking on the forum since July last year and thought I would share my thoughts and experiences on my journey and how I've come to a decision to begin roaccutane (UK). I know many people do not agree with this drug but I am completely aware of it's side affects and have read the booklet and the ipledge programme information already. People often bash others that take roaccutane for mild acne, but just like the rest of you, we suffer too. I can't remember the last time I look
  11. Hey guys! ive been taking Accutane for about 3 months and a week, about 94 days now! i have made 2 videos, one at day 0 and one at day 92. before i began Accutane i really wanted to see a wide variety of people experiences, if anyone is curious what it is like to be on start Accutane, and a regiment that has worked (for me at least) check out my channel! i will make probably 2 more videos in the series, so subscribe, and like if i helped you any! thank you!
  12. Hii, I'm kinda at a point where any light at the end of the tunnel has disappeared for me. But I discovered that the internet, and this site in particular gave me strength in a way, since people went or go through the same. Since I don't see any options anymore can someone help me and give an input? Doesn't matter what it is. I couldn't be more hopeless right now. Anything would help. I'm going to list the things I'm doing right now for my acne. But first let me give a background. My s
  13. Alright guys, I'm new here but I've just decided that I'm going to go for a 100 day wank free streak starting today So I've got a countdown sheet and I had a bat last night, I'm prepared to do this and see what improvements I can see in my face and well being in general. I have medium-severe acne on my face and it pisses me off because I get very self concious which prevents me from being awesome to my full potential. I really feel that acne stems from masturbation and poor diet. My aim here
