  1. Hi everyone! I shave every day as I hate not being 'clean-shaven' - I have very dark facial hair, but having any stubble on show looks awful on me (I'm v slim, blonde etc!) so I'm forced to shave daily! My skin gets very irritated - ingrown hairs, breakouts, redness, razor burn, stinging etc, so I'm hoping someone could recommend a good shaving gel/shaving cream that doesn't seem to break them out? I'm currently using the Nivea Sensitive Skin one, which is ok, but not great... I live
  2. Hey there. New to these forums. I'm a 24 year old male still suffering from acne. I need to be put on some new course of treatment because my current one (will get into details) is working but not 100% effective ans is also making my face red/dry and extremely irritated. 1) I am currently on 100mg Minocycline twice daily. Which has worked the best out of the drugs I've tried. (I've been though the entire book and tried all meds). 2:) I wash my face with Nutregina (spelling) acne free daily
  3. I have been on the regimen for about a year now. It worked for me, all my acne has disappeared. However, every so often specific parts of my face (specifically the side of my left eye and the right cheek) become severely irritated. The skin turns red, it flakes and peels, it stings, and afterwards, there's a slight scar (not sure that I can call it that?) or at least mark (noticeably whiter, elevated skin) left from the irritation. The first time this happened, I tried not putting BP on the i
  4. So, I've been on the regimen for 3 months now, and it cleared my skin up. In all the areas where I do the regimen, I have clear skin. However, the discoloration and dryness from the BP is really just awful. I have this patch of irritated skin on my face that flares up red everytime i scratch it or rub it. There are two of them actually. It's not a blemish, it's irritated skin. It itches and burns, and it's pretty annoying. It goes away maybe 20-30 minutes after, but for the most part it's not fu
  5. I just started prescription acne medication for only 3 days and my face has already become dry, flaky, red, and irritated. Taking my dryness, flakiness, irritated, & red skin, what is the best facial moisturizers (both A.M. & P.M.) that is non-comedogenic AND oil free? I wish I could just put that intense moisturizing hand cream on my face because I feel like that's the kind of moisture I need, but obviously that is not good for my acne. A few options I've heard good things about are:
  6. Hello there. Currently i’m 15 years of age. I’ve had acne since probably age 12. I’ve used many over the counter products such at BP and minocycline and all this other stuff. When i first got on BP (benzoyl peroxide) I just slathered that stuff on my face. For the past 2 years my skin has been pretty darn red, dry, super sun sensitive, and irritated. To me it looks super bad and it’s kind of depressing. I kept using BP cuz if i stopped then my face would breakout. I do not have cystic acne or ba
  7. So I've been on the Acne.org regimen for about two months now after a few months previously off of it. I jumped right into the regimen as I would before but my skin has not been reacting to the regimen as it had before. I now have crazy whiteheads all over my chin, I'm dry and patchy all over my face to the point where you can literally scrape the dead skin off, and it just doesn't seem to stop. I thought it was because I wasn't use to it, but its been two months and my skin is still the same. M
  8. Hello, this is my first time ever writting here, so it might be a bit long (sorry in advance) So first off I will start by giving you an idea why I got on acne.Org regimen, I always had mild acne growing up, but around the time I became 20 ( Im now 22), my acne changed to these painful cystic pimples which leave the nastiest scars when they heal and by the time they heal new ones form on top of these scars and ever since my face is covered in discoloration from acne and scars. So I began usi
  9. Hi All, I am looking for a foundation that is completely clean of comedogenic and acnegenic ingredients. The only foundation I've found is MUFE Mat Velvet+, which I love and does not cause me to breakout. However, in the winter it is way too dry for my skin and looks very flaky. Does anyone have suggestions? I would like for the product to have all 0's on Cosdna. Thanks!
  10. Just wanted to share my experience with aloe vera and my acne. I incidently came across an aloe vera plant in my backyard and my mum suggested I use it to treat my skin. LO AND BEHOLD. After using it religiously for 1 week, the redness and irritation almost went away! I still have a few spots here and there but compared to a week ago the difference is HUGE. I was previously using Phisophex and it burned my skin SO BAD, I was left with flaky brown scars across my chin and cystic pimples all
  11. Today marks my 3 weeks and my skin hates me. My skin doesn't even feel like skin anymore. I have never seen it so dry in my life. I try everything to allow it to stay moisturized but it just cracks and flakes. I have been getting around 8 pimples (With a white head) 4 on each side of my chin every single day. I have stopped using making up about a week ago for good so I understand it may still be because of irritation from the makeup I used two weeks ago. But dam my skin hurts so bad and it fill
  12. I'm now 20 and started getting acne at 8...yes..8. My Dr. Told me to use dove soap but it didn't help any and seemed to make it worse. Since then I've been a serial acne product user. I've used proactive, murad, acne free, the 3 step althete kit(not sure what brand it was), multiple different brands of cleansers and creams, natural products, you name it, I've probably used it. Some have been more successful than others but all have ended up not working after the initial 2week clear up stage. I c
