  1. Hi everyone, This is my first time writing on this website and I just wanted to get some feed back from the users. I'll start off by saying that I have struggled with acne for almost 10 years. I have used almost every over the counter medication, been to numerous dermatologists, spent weeks hiding in my room after acne peels, and as a last ditch effort to cure my acne started a cycle of Accutane. My acne is now at bay but I still get occasional breakouts around 'that time of the month' and al
  2. In the beginning of January, I purchased Rebuilt Mass Gainer, a mass gainer containing the following ingredients: Calories 850.00 Calories from Fat 90.00 Total Fat 10.00 g 15% Saturated Fat 5.00 g 25% Cholesterol 80.00 mg 27% Sodium 860.00 mg 36% Total Carbohydrate 130.00 g 43% Dietary Fiber 4.00 g 16% Calcium 500.00 mg 50% Sugars 10.00 g Protein 60.00 g 0% Potassium 500.00 mg 14% Advanced Creatine Complex 10.00 g ** Creatine HC
  3. Hey guys! Due to recent success with my newly formulated regime I wanted to share it with others so that maybe they could benefit. Obviously as we all know by now there isn't exactly one thing that works for everybody. I am 20 years old now and finally found what works for me and my answer was: thyme! And a few other select all natural ingredients that are affordable and all can be found in your local grocery store. I have tried BP (Proactive) and other acne products (Clean & Clear, St. Ive

    Organic Acne Treatment?

So lately I've been really interested in organic skincare. I don't know why. My whole motto about skincare is, "If it's working, why change it?" or "If it's not broken, don't fix it".... But is it really working? I was looking through my pile of what I call "skincare" products, which are basically a bunch of chemicals, and honestly, I thought I knew what ingredients to avoid but I don't think I know the half of it. I can't tell you ANYTHING about 98% of the ingredients in my products. None. Now
  5. hey guys, I have cut back to only using some clindomyocin lotion on my stubborn cysts, which are mostly due to hormones. However, I have always battled really really dry skin, even before using any acne clearing products (which notoriously dry out the skin). I was looking for something that would mousturize me really well without breaking me out. I saw the new Neutrogena Hydro Boost line in a store the other day and wondered if you guys had tried it?? I think the one for 'very dry skin' tha

    Dmdm Hydantoin

What is DMDM Hydantoin and why is it an ingredient in the cleanser? How safe is it? I have seen it on several lists of "bad" ingredients and just wondered why it is part of this product.
  7. what do u guys think about Rice Bran Oil(RBO)? and what about sunflower oil? (i mention sunflower oil because since sunflower seeds are considered so good and are ideal for our diet so i wander if the oil extract will be equally healthy or not!) Rice bran oil : it's supposedly good according to many sites and people. they say it's good for diabetics and also for our heart. i am not very sure about the skin aspect, which i must say am curious about. a quote from a site(that promote

  9. I'm curious about any experiences you guys have had with the following ingredients and their supposed benefits. What products have you tried with any of these, and how did they work for you? Sea kelp (aka bioferment products) - anti-inflammatory and antioxidant Nobiletin - antibacterial, antioxidant, sebum inhibition Dimethlaminoethanol (DMAE Bitartrate) - anti-inflammatory, firming Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) - anti-inflammatory, even skin tone Argan oil - anti-inflammatory

  11. Hey, friends! I have a list of ingredients I'd like some input on. I want to know people's experiences with the following ingredients. It's the powder I've been using -- and was raving about previously. Now I worry it may have actually had something in it that irritated my skin and contributed to breakouts. As such, I'm tapping into the knowledge of this forum in addition to doing some research! Here it is: Mica Lauroyl Lysine Zinc Stearate Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Titanium Di
  12. Hi, I recently tested this very affordable (1 DOLLAR!) lotion called Dermasil Dry Skin Treatment from the Dollar Tree store (USA), and looked up its ingredients. So far it seems that it's non-comedogenic, legitimate product registered to the NIH: Active Ingredient Dimethicone 1 % Inactive Ingredients Water (Aqua), Petrolatum, Mineral Oil (Parraffinum Liquidum),Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Triethanolamine, PEG-40 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, DMDM Hydantoin, Ma
  13. I'm wondering if I'm purging or breaking out? Is it too soon to tell? How long should I stick with the healing oil? 4 days ago, I began using a healing oil called "Kutus Kutus" (its Indonesian). It claims to fix many problems, like acne and acne scars. I apply the oil to my problem areas. Ingredients: I can't find a full list of ingredients anywhere but some of the ingredients are Coconut oil, Gaharu, Ashitaba Leaf, Purwoceng, Pule, Intaran / Neem, Temulawak, Bunga Lawang, Ginger,
  14. Hello! First time post here! What ingredientes in lotions/makeups etc should be avoided? For instance, acne causing ingredients, and just bad ingredients like petrolatum and other chemicals....? I'm sure the list is ridiculous, but maybe some of the most common? I've been trying to educate myself about what I'm putting on my body. Thanks!

    Ingredients To Avoid?!

Alright, so my acne is what I believe to be moderate. I don't break out very much anymore, but when I do, it's a big cyst farm on my face! I can go most days without wearing makeup, but some days, I just like to have a little coverage. When I was younger, I thought I needed the heaviest of the heavy, but I've grown to realize that sheer-medium coverage is all I Need. I've been experimenting with bb creams lately and have not been impressed at all! What are some ingredients in cosmetics that go
