  1. From the album: My Acne

Believe it or not about 97% of the blemishes on my face is just hyper-pigmentation. It's becoming clear that when I finish Accutane I will have only done half the battle. I have decided to just stay on my current birth control pill. I feel like the Accutane is starting to really kick in and the anxiety I get over switching to something like yazmin is not worth it. I feel if I have to do a second round of Accutane that would be fine. So here is my red inflammed but almost pimple free skin
  2. I have always had clean skin until April of this year that I started getting cystic acne. I don't know what's causing it I just know that I have tried so many things and none of them work. I went to the dermatologists who's injected me with about 8 cortisone shots this year alone and the cystic acne keeps coming back in the same places. I have to pay out of pocket at the dermatologist office and its getting so expensive. He gave me tretinoin cream, veltin, and a spray that smells like chlorine
  3. Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this cyst I have recently gotten in the past 3 days. About 3 years ago, I got the same cyst, and got rid of it with doxycycline. But now it has returned, and it seems to be larger and more swollen. It started when I got a small whitehead in the spot it previously was, and it just got more and more inflammed into a full on cyst. Its now the size of about a quarter and I really dont know what to do. Im on doxycycline and Retin-A, but I still
  4. Ive tried 5 prescription creams and doxycycline. Nothing has worked.
  5. tiny little whiteheads like bumps which have red(inflamed) bases. picture : I KNOW THEY DON'T SEEM ANYTHING BIG BUT THERE ARE SO MANY SOMETIMES AND ALMOST ALWAYS , ALL OVER THAT THEY DO BOTHER. spread over my forehead, cheeks and around the nose area(mostly the area which has huge pores). i get them all the time and they do go way earlier or later(sometimes in days or weeks). i apply faceclin(clindamycin + nicotinamide) gel on them twice a day as spot treatment. and use my salicylic acid
  6. Hey guys, Hello, hi. I'm about to start my fifth month on Accutane. What would you say, based on the photos, is it a good station to be at, or should I be worried that this medicine shan't work for me? I'm just so lost, seeing all those people who make an impressive change by the end of month 3. (Oh, and my journey has been so difficult even so far. It's definitely ups and downs. 3 weeks ago my face was almost the same as it is now, however, a damned breakout came, and it got

  10. Hello! Been dealing with acne for around 6 years, I'm now 20, coming onto 21 and it's getting worse by the day to the point it's covering sections of my face. I'm going to be taking a tablet of 100mg doxycycline a day and differen gel 0.3% applied at night. Alongside using effaclar wash and duo+ morning and night. I've also cut a majority of sugar out of my diet and drink a minimum of a litre of water. Hopefully won't need to go onto accutane, Only time will tell Here's first weeks pictures
  11. A couple of months ago I had a lot of serious personal and family issues that caused massive amounts of stress, lack of sleep for several months and numerous arguments. Enormous breakouts of acne appeared around this time so I'm assuming it was the cause. My skin had been clear other than the occasional spot here and there for almost two years and all I had to worry about was scarring and redness. My issue is that despite now being in an ok place in regards to stress and sleep my skin is

  14. Hi everyone, I have been reading this forum for a while but only just joined. I felt I wanted to feedback into the forum as I've had some useful advice here and it's starting to work. First, I'll talk a little about my skin type. I've had both acne, and cysts since I was around 13. I've had an operation on my neck to remove a large cyst and have also had them on my groin..and spent much of my teenage years struggling to walk due to the pain! As an adult I've struggled with the same, howev

  17. So I have acne below my lips in my chin area on the left and right. I literally never shave this area with my electric razor, I just use a trimmer to keep some facial hair in the area. I completely shave my cheeks and my neck and jaw line and I no longer get acne there. Does shaving get rid of deadskin cells which in return reduce acne? Would it help for me to shave the area? Thanks

  19. About a month and a half ago, I got a cyst on my cheek where I never usually get acne. Hurt for about 2 weeks, then was just a big noticeable bump for about another 2 weeks. It appeared to be going down noticeably, and I thought it was the end of that. The problem was that it never completely subsided, as even in its best looking stages, there was still slight bump if I touched it. Just yesterday, I noticed the bump started to become more noticeable, and now, it seems to be increasing in size an
