  1. Hello, I'm 20 years old. Been thinking of treating my horrible forehead acne scars and not really sure where to start. I look like a burned victim under harsh lighting If you turn your screen brightness up you can see how bad it is. My skin is really really rough. What kind of treatments should I be getting for this? Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch. under extreme angle I will post clearer pictures if needed.
  2. Hello guys! So here's an idea. I think we should have a special topic dedicated to ways to cover up indented scars, either on a daily basis or for special occasions etc. I don't think this topic should be under Cosmetics & Grooming, because it easily gets lost there between all the topics related to acne only. I guess we all know that hiding acne and hiding scars are two different things and most people who suffer from scarring visit the Scar treatments subforum only. Also, covering up sca
  3. Hi guys! Just signed up today. I have been battling acne for about 10 years now. I have only started scarring about a year ago. I hardly get any pimples at all any more (using cetaphil cleanser and moisturising cream - no acne treatments) but these scars are here and bothering me SO MUCH. Some of them are still red and its been over 6 months. However, I want to know what type of indentations these are and what I could do about them. Will they get shallower on their own over time? Some are only a
  4. Hello everyone, It’s been along time since my last post/comment. I’ve attached two recent pictures. I have finally stopped breaking out. However I am left with a lot of scars. I should have started accutane as soon as I started breaking out like crazy. I feel depressed again, because of the scarring. I feel like I won’t be happy ever. Right now I’m trying to save for my acne scars treatment. I don’t know which one to have as I don’t want to make my scarring worse. I feel so sad. I feel stuck
  5. I thought acne made me depressed... but damn at least when the benzoyl peroxide kicks in after 3 months (that's how long it takes me) I would have flawless skin!!! Pregnancy and breastfeeding ruined my skin>:( I never scarred as a teenager. Even if I popped a pimple, I usually never picked. Ugh I just feel like I have so many plans , specially romantically but I doubt any guy would feel turned on by acne marks . Ugh...... it's not even the red marks that piss off nearly as much as the small
  6. I had cystic acne on my face years ago and several military doctors I had seen over the course of about 4 years (I was in the military at the time) gave me cortisone shots while not explaining any risks of atrophy and fat loss; I just trusted them and knew nothing about acne and skin treatments at the time. The internet was just up and coming and I had no access to it and didn't know half of what I do now - I don't think doctors knew half of what they do now. Now 2 scars in particular are in t
  7. Has anyone used the Alpha Hydrox brand- 12% Glycolic acid in a souflee form? Did you like it better than Dan's? Did it make marks appear lighter faster or texture more even? What are your thoughts in general? My indentations are red and ugly from BP and I need some ideas! Thanks!
  8. I have an acne scars on my cheeks. I don't know the severity level and not sure if it's rolling or boxcar. See my picture below. It's started when I break out with cystic acnes. It was a nightmare for me. So, I started to treat it with Retin-A (the one that is available over the counter), It's my nightly regiment for 3months to date. and Kojic Acid soap (the one with Coconut oil) since then. so far, my acne cleared up but not the scars. That's why a month ago, I add Baking Soda on my treat
