  1. Hello! I'm new here on acne.org and this is my first post. I've read the forum rules but I'm a bit of a headcase so I apologize in advance if I've done something wrong. To clarify (like I wish my skin was doing!) - Claravis is the generic form of Accutane. Anyway, I started taking Claravis (30 mgs) about 3 days ago. I haven't particularly noticed any change - whether it be dryness or irritated skin - aside from the slight breakout I've gotten. I also take 40 mgs of Adderall (which has a
  2. Hi everyone! Newbie to acne.org here. I was drawn to this site because of this thread: I read so many comments on there about Isotherapy for reversing the damage of Accutane but haven't found any information on how to actually do it. Was wondering if anyone out there has done it successfully and could tell me how to do it. Any other information on getting accutane out of my system would be greatly appreciated. I've taken three rounds of it and have both IBS and TERRIBLE constant migra
  3. Guys. Im looking for people to join me who feel strongly and passionately about the experience you have had with roaccutane. I was prescribed roaccutane on the NHS in Scotland in January 2014. I was on it for 6 months. Ever since I have finished. I've had depression, anxiety, dry thinning and brittle hair, constant dry lips, but the worst of all I have had severe severe IBS I literally couldn't work for 6 months because I go to the toilet about 15 times a day! Please guys. I really really want t
  4. What are your thoughts on supplementing magnesium? Any success or improvements? Which form/brands do you prefer? I heard magnesium glycinate is the most gentle form o f magnesium. What are your thoughts or suggestions? And how much do you take? Do you take any other supplements with it? Notice any bowel differences or differences in sleep pattern? Thank you very much!
  5. I've got IBS and had Acne for 8 years and I have been out on Yasmin for my acne... since going in it my stomach has been severely bloated and I have gone from 60kg to 63.5kg... in 3 weeks? Is this normal? Will then bloating calm down? Can anyone recommend tablets that will help calm the bloating or my IBS Also I've noticed no improvement in my skin and if anything I've broken out... is the too early tell? I've heard Yasmin an make you break out before it makes it better... how long does th
  6. The cycle for a few years past has been the same--with the switch to each acne med, my body would readjust too. The first three years after Accutane were pretty horrible (aldactone made my skin green and kept wounds from healing). For six months Doxycycline was a wonderful answer and actually relieved some of the hyperpigmentation/big damaged pores. Now it's lost it's potency and may be worsening the acne (which I still think is primarily hormonal, but a lot of the most painful stuff is
  7. i am big loser. Mother nature bullying me. i have ibs-d from 12 years old. my half life spent in toilet (it's funny xD, but it's true, it's hurt me everyday). It made me Annexed and depressive, during the years. And after all this. Acne. Comedonal acne. From 13 years old. Acne finally destroyed me. The only positive what i have, i am handsome guy. but acne destroyed me. i am ugly. i am loser in girls. i don't know what is love. I hate going out. I can't Relax. I am asocial person. but every prob
  8. So I've read a lot lately about accutane causing IBS, crohns etc. Often it happens later in life. I'm 5 months into my accutane course and this has really worried me. Is there anything that can be done to try and prevent IBS? For example probiotics. i was going to start eating some probiotic yoghurt, shall i start this asap? im scared and really want to make sure this doesnt happen.
  9. As the title says, I'm in dire straits thanks to nearly two decades of acne treatments. In case of TLDR, I was wondering (hoping, really) whether anyone else has been through years of harsh acne treatments and found a product, foodstuff or regimen of any sort that helped them recover fully or at least partially? Over 18 years and a gamut of registered physicians and dermatologists, I was prescribed, and thus took a crazy amount of acne treatments. I can't remember all of them, but several were
  10. Anyone feels the same? whenever you are stress your stomach is like twisting? I don't know how to describe it. It is like boiling... I don't know. I have acid reflux. And I believe leaky gut is the cause of my acne. Anyone can give me advice? I tried taking multivitamin, vitamin d, zinc. They helped my mood but still getting acne. Sometimes still depressed but not the same as before which I think is severe. I added Digestive Enzymes and Vitamin A but looks like not working. I eliminated gluten a
  11. Hi! I'm 23 years old and i've been suffering with acne since i was 14. I know it doesn't seem like a long time and i know there are people out there who has been suffering for a lot longer but when you feel like you have tried every possible way to get rid of it, it begins to feel like a lifetime. Does anyone else suffer from depression because of this stupid condition? I used to be loud and happy, i loved meeting people and making people smile. Now all i want to do is stay home in bed, i don'
  12. So I just finished my fourth month of Accutane, but my acne isn't fully gone. It's at the phase of getting better. During the first two months of Accutane I was on 60 mg, i got an IB during the first month that simmered down the second month, my derm then upped my dose to 70 mg for the third month, in which I got another IB for the 3rd month, after that, I got my dose upped again to 80mg during my 4th month and then I got another IB. I am about to start my 5th month and my derm upped my dose to
  13. I can't believe I'm finally writting this, and I'm mainly doing it in the hope to help someone in their fight against acne. Durring my teenage years I had some pimples here and there but never nothing too bad and, for that reason, I was one of the happy lucky people who could say I was clear during my adolescence... Until I was 18. At 18 I started to get some very light, mild acne arround my forehead and my chin, nothing major. But has time went by it all got very bad. When I was 21 my face go
  14. Hey guys, I really need help I'm really freaking out. I started Accutane in January 2014 for 6 months on 60mg ( my skin wasn't even that bad!!!! AGHH!) i'm really upset writing this, but basically I have been suffering from so many mental and physical side effects and ive done almost everything to combat them but it seems they are persisting. Could they ever go away, my life is seriously like a nightmare i was off work for 6 months from january - june and ive just started back. My problems in
  15. http://www.foodmatters.tv/articles-1/how-to-overcome-candida-naturally First off, I want to start off by saying I have about 85% of those symptoms listed in that article. I have been struggling with acne for almost a couple of years now. A friend of mine has talked me into going paleo. In doing so, I was getting almost no carbs. My skin was starting to improve after about 3 weeks. However, In that time, I lost over 14 lbs. I blame that on me not getting enough healthy fats to keep my calo
