  1. After about 6 years of dealing with moderately severe acne, my skin has finally begun to clear up. However, my cheeks have been left with areas of hyper pigmentation and hypertrophic acne scars. I'm currently trying the Affirm Laser on my cheeks to see if it helps soften the hypertrophic scars. It apparently makes new "holes" in the scar tissue by shooting safe lasers into the scarred areas, promoting collagen production and making the scar fill in a bit. I'm optimistic about it at least im

    Cortisone Injections In Uk?

Hi i live in the north east and im wondering does anyone know where you can get cortisone injections for raised scars? Ive rang lots of places and nothing. Hiw much would pulse dyed laser cost. Cant seem to find anyone with that either. Only thing ive found is ipl laser and cautery. Any help would be great x
  3. I need help to determine whether these are keloids or hypertrophic scars. I'm planning on starting microneedling on them.
  4. Hello everyone, I was hoping to get some advice on how to shrink/flatten these scars on my nose. A little backstory, I've had pretty crappy skin ever since high school, but poor advice on topicals (tazorac mainly) have really ruined my skin, perhaps permanently. I've been really embarrassed for such a long time. These scars have absolutely destroyed my self esteem, and has really affected my school work and social life. I always felt that it was shallow to be so concerned with my looks, b
  5. hi everyone!! i'm new at these acne treatments so i'm apologizing in advance if this treatment has been told many times. i hope this can be of help to anyone in need of treatment on their shallow scars like mine (i think? lol). i've read from the link below that tretinoin gets rid of shallow scars. well i don't know if it's permanent though if it's not, what the heck! i'd still do this treatment 'cause there's so much benefits from tretinoin! i'm lucky 'cause i have extremely oily sk
  6. I had recell treatment done for my hypertrophic scars exactly 1 month back,, as of now Iam not at all happy with how it looks and doctor says it would improve over time and it might take upto 18months.one thing i would like to point about this treatment is both these doctors and avita are too much money oriented.I had the treatment done in Australia. I had to pay $1500 for recell kit and dermabrasion, $500 for needling, $250 for consultation, $5000 as doctors fee, $1000 procedure fee, $600 acc
  7. I have many white raised hypertrophic scars on my face due to a bout of severe acne a few years ago. I visited an aesthetic doctor (obtained a diploma in dermatology but is relatively famous for her cosmetic procedures) yesterday and was very discouraged and depressed. I do know that the aforementioned scarring is very difficult to remove. She recommended VI peels and Pearl laser but I have researched and peels are not likely to help hypertrophic scarring and Pearl laser is ablative.
  8. Like the question says,do hypertrophic scars blanch when pressure is applied and does the redness go way on its own(with time).I have got these embarassing hypertrophic scars on my cheeks(both of em) for more than year and It's really starting to affect my comfidence especially when my acne is finally clearing up with accutane(no actives!) but I still look like a pizza face. Below is a picture of my left cheek with the scars pointed out(at least I know for sure they are hypertrophic, though ther

I've had what seem to be small hypertrophic scars since age 19 along with some collagen loss mixed in. The scars haven't changed much in years. Would fraxel help these or would that make the hypertrophic scars worse?
  10. These have been around for a while and i need to get rid of them. What should i do? I think the first one may be a hypertrophic scar and the other 2 are red marks.
  11. Hi guys. How severe would you rate my acne? The last few weeks/months I've gone through some breakouts with a lot of pustules mostly. However, I think I have had a few cysts or nodules in the past few months, but I'm not sure. Right now on my face is nothing too active, just red marks from old acne. Also, with the two very up close pictures I uploaded, are those hypertrophic scars? One of them is from a blemish from a few weeks ago, the other is from over a month ago, and they are just raise
  12. I had a horrific acne breakout about an year a go and had to take 6 months accutane course. Accutane worked like magic and my face is 100% clear, but after that i got these super cool hypertrophic scars on my chest and shoulders, which look like acne but doesn't go away. I know i can't get rid off them completely and i'm okay with that, but when i can start waiting to see even for little improvement? At the moment i use silicone gel. Will it help for theee scars and what do you recommend? Has
