  1. I have cleared my once moderately severe acne on my face through using benzaclin religiously and developing better dietary habits. However, my chest was/is still breaking out (moderately) so my dermo prescribed me Retin-A about 5 months ago. I wash my chest every night and morning, and at night, I apply my Retin-A just as my dermo said. I have been doing this consistently and as told for 5 months, yet I have seen virtually any improvement. Yes, the first month I had a horrible initial break
  2. hello friends! holistic living and healthy diet is known to have a positive effect on us,acne sufferers. so having a balanced diet and having an active life(both physically and mentally) is important. also eliminating food items that cause u problem is a must.(different people seems to have different intolerance..so don't go by what others are following.check for yourselves what suits you and what doesn't but make it a point to share your unique experiences and ideas/concepts.it'll not onl
  3. Hey everyone, I started my accutane adventure on the 19th June, so today I have just finished my 16th week. I weigh 140lbs and I took 30mg for the first four weeks and 40mg for the following twelve. I last saw my dermatologist on the 11th September (twelve weeks into the course) and, seeing as she knew I was moving to Spain on the 17th, she prescribed me eight more weeks but told me to 'stop when I was ready, which could only take four weeks but could take six or even eight'. Great.
  4. Hi guys, looking to hear some experiences of Spironolactone treatment courses please! Question is in the title really.... Did Spironolactone successfully clear your acne and if so how long did it take? I've been taking Spironolactone now since the last week of December, so about 16 weeks in total, but in that time I did increase the dose gradually, starting initially on 50mg a day, then 100mg, and now 150mg for the past 6 weeks or so. My skin has definitely improved and I have experienced some
  5. Hey Everyone! I'm 14 and I have moderate acne that's getting worse day by day. My derm prescribed me Accutane and I'll be starting it next week. I need to get blood work done (something I've never had done before). It seems like a pain to get a blood test each month but it's not my choice. Anyways, I need help. I'm curious to know how fast it works. See, I always wear makeup to cover up the pimples, which I've mastered, and I was wondering if you could still, like, wear makeup or not. I don't kn
  6. Talking Head

    Regimen Angst

I moderately researched Dan's regimen and the feedback it got before buying it. I've paid for the regimen and I will stick it out, religiously, at least until the products run out. I'm now on my 5th night of the regimen, and I'm following it strictly and using a very small amount of BP. My face is tight most of the time, to the point, simple facial expressions, eating and talking hurts. I've started to flake, and due to this, I've developed some anxiety. I know these are typical symptoms that ev
  7. Hi there, I was on BP for about 3 years, Differin for about 9 months during that period. I quit BP and am clear as of about a month and a half ago. I quit largely because the photosensitivity was out of control and it was ruining my life. I just use Dan's moisturiser and his gentle cleanser. After quitting, photosensitivity has subsided but I'm still paranoid because I feel like my skin feels tender in the sun even for brief periods. I thought maybe sunblock might have been t
  8. my dermatologist had prescribed me zevit capsules which has vit b complex + vit c and zinc suphate. (i could add exact measures if needed) for 6 weeks. after 6 weeks,i'd continued it for 10 more days. i was wondering if i should continue taking it? if yes, then for how long? do u have any idea why just 6 weeks? someone told me that vit capsules shouldn't be taken for too long...but i've never read anything like that on acne.org. am not sure..a lil' confused actually! they seem to help

  10. Reposting this here because I got absolutely zero responses in the hormonal acne forum and my dermatologist appointment is tomorrow so getting kind of desperate, sorry! 11. Hey guys, This my first post, although I've followed product reviews on this website for years now. I desperately need some advice. Background: I've been using both Tazorac .01% Gel for almost a year and Minocycline for about 7 or 8 months to treat my severe cystic acne. I also supplement my treatment with "Zinc for Acne," B Vitamin Complex, Apple Cider Vinegar (internally and topically), and Aloe Vera Juice. As compared to where I was a year ago, my face has dramatically cleared, al
  12. How long does it really take for zinc to take effect for acne? I am taking 50mg of chelated gluconate and it has been about a week now, and I think I may have a very tiny initial breakout ..?
