  1. Hey guys, I just wanted to post something different on this forum. I have suffered with acne for 6 years, I have literally tried everything possible and through those six years I have experienced an array of emotions. I have been angry, sad, lonely, depressed, and insecure. I'm not going to tell you that I am at my optimum confidence level or that I even love myself now or more. It seems like people promote that they love themselves after they make their flaws disappear, but that's not always
  2. Hello everyone, I wouldn't say i'm new to this site, but am a brand new member. I've almost come to a dead stop with my bacne and wanted others advice on what they have done or what they know to help me. I'm 19 in november and have had moderate (being generous) bacne for about 3+ years. it has always stay above the middle of my back to my neck and nowhere below until recently i started working as a mechanical contractor (HVAC, Refrigeration, Restaurant Equip. Etc,). I live in Albuquerque, Ne
  3. Hi guys, am excited that i'm about to start the regimen really soon. Just out of curiosity, i live in a tropical country and it's constantly hot and humid 24/7, to the extent that my face is instantly oily when i step out of the house. Due to this, several dermatologist I've visited said that there is no need for a moisturizer due to how oily my skin already is. So, should i start using moisturizer when starting the regimen? I know that this is already addressed in the FAQs but I'm afraid to eve
  4. Hi guys I have moderate acne at the moment, and am just wondering what is the best way to wash ones face, i've heard about a million different things lol. Some say: hot, then cold water, just cold, just hot, etc etc. Basically, If i was to just use water to wash my face, twice a day, what would be the best method for my skin? Thanks in advance peeps! =D
  5. I started taking Accutane yesterday. These symptoms started yesterday. I get very cold when it's room temperature and then I can get very hot and sweat from everywhere, especially my hands. During the night I sweat a lot too. Is this a known side effect of Accutane? Even if it is I doubt the side effects would come in the day I start the treatment. The thing is I went out 3 days ago to drink for the last time before I began Accutane and we think one of my friends got some GHB (date-rape drug)
  6. I am real going crazy ..... How terribly dry and burning my face is???? It is unimaginable.. I could hardly smile literally.. really... I have real oily and dry skin at the same time.. Dan's moisturizer wasn't rich enough for me.. so I used Loreal's future C something.. this is better than that.. but still feeling a lil bit of driness and burning!!! my face is like.. literaly burning.. and face is so red.. And the area around nose is peeling .. lots of flakes.. what the hell is going on wit
  7. Hi Acne.org, I started Amnesteem (Isotretinoin) on December 14, 2013 and have had dramatic clearing in my skin. I barely had an initial breakout since starting and that's great, however I am red all the time 24/7 and flush/blush randomly and it is very irritating. This was occurring before I started as well. It may be from all the products I've used over the years before I finally resorted to Isotretinoin. I am posting to try to determine if this is normal or if I should be concerned? I am so si
  8. Hey guys, I think I've found an effective way to speed up the process of fading blemishes and red/dark marks. Ever tried hot/cold therapy? Basically it involves alternating hot and cold temperatures, typically used on swelling of sorts, but I do it on my face. Only instead of ice I just used cold water. What I do is every morning before I go out and a couple hours before bed, I would first wash my face with warm water(use a cleanser if you want). Do this for a 30 seconds or so, then imm
