  1. I've posted about how I like the De La Cruz 10% sulfur ointment for treating acne. However, I've never been comfortable about the 90% Polyethylene Glycol absorbing into my skin. So I picked up some powdered sulfur and figured I could easily make my own ointment with healthy ingredients. I'm no chemist, but I found that it dissolves beautifully in vegetable glycerin and since I love the effects of topical yogurt on my (and my son's) skin I also add that to the recipe. Here's my recipe for
  2. Hello beautiful people! I'm on a the DK regimen (have been for a year or so) and was using Cetaphil Cleanser, but my skin was so red, dry, and flaky. I watched this video from bubzbeauty about how she makes her own oatmeal facial cleanser and decided to try it. So glad I did! My face looks sooo much better! I'm not sure how well it will take off makeup, but if I am wearing some I usually take a washcloth soaked in hot water and lay it on my face after doing my oatmeal cleanse and let it steam my
  3. Background: I got cystic hormonal acne from using birth control at age 20, and have been struggling with acne ever since. The only time I was ever 100% clear was when I used the Regimen for a couple years. But I got tired of the BP bleaching my clothes, and I suspected it was damaging my skin, despite keeping it clear. It's taken a year and a half but I've finally quit using benzoyl peroxide and discovered the only place I get pimples at all these days are on my chin and rarely the forehead.
  4. Does anyone use a homemade moisturizer? Topically i use coconut oil, argon oil, and vitamin E (from capsules) Do you think mixing all these and putting them into a bottle and using it everynight as a moisturizer is useful? Let me hear your thoughts
  5. First, quick background. I am 35 years old, I've had serious acne since I was 13 or 14. I have tried every OTC product, in nearly every combination, as well as several homebrew treatments, prescriptions, and even dietary changes. I have gone so far to to use bleach on my face. This is the first and only thing I have found that has eliminated 100% of my acne wherever I apply it, and it's CHEAP! It may not work for everyone, but it works for me, so I have to share. Disclaimer: I have incred
  6. Hi everyone, I'm currently on the regimen, and I want to 'wean' myself off of Dan's products because of the cost factor. It's quite expensive, and on top of that I have to get mine shipped to Canada. I want to start with the moisturizer because that has been the product I have had the most issues with. I took a look at my local drugstore, but I found that all of the good moisturizers are also very expensive, which lead me to wonder if I could make my own. I'm planning to do some research, but
  7. Hello! I'm finally curing my acne but now I have a ton of acne scars, I would like to hear what homemade masks have help you! I don't use anything not homemade because it always makes me breakout again :/
  8. Hi! Ive read many forums about making a own moisturizer. People have write many good things about mixing pure vegetable glycerin with rose water and they have acne-prone skin and they didnt breakout for months. I wonder if there is someone who uses the same method? Or if someone uses different type of homemade moisturizer? Beacuse i dont trust anymore on the stuff u buy at stores or online, as glycerin is already a famous ingredient in moisturizers, why not using it. Thanks for answers!
