  1. I just need some advice. What are some good home remedies or over the counter medications that can fade dark acne scars. I have a bit of them on my forehead but they show signs of fading. Any recommendations?
  2. Can dermabrasion be done at home by natural products. I have read few articles about rubbing Baking Soda + water on face can reduce scars. Is this possible? Any practical advice?
  3. Hi everyone, I use a benzoyl peroxide 2.5% wash and, providing I use it daily, it works wonders for me. But I'm completely reliant on it for face and body acne management and covering such a large area means I go through a lot of it. Recently the price of the wash went up by several dollars. (I'd buy the acne.org solution but I'm in Aus and postage and international bank fees make it too expensive). I'm having a particularly tight year financially because I'm hardly working while trying to
  4. Hey guys, don´t know if this will actually help anybody but I just wanna share my bit. It is an old treatment that our grandmas used to use in my country (Europe). For healing any wounds or scars or even wrinkles they would use pork fat (lard) or an ointment made from lard and callendula extract. Interestingly, I have actually met a plastic surgeon that swears at lard as the absolutely best treatment for scars he knows. And my friend was recommended to use lard after her surgery for trea
  5. How does a cystic acne lession subside and go away? I've heard that they turn into a head, then you pop them, but with severe acne, i just get pimples and the lot, then remove wat ever heads I have with a needle. I don't really remember detail of each of my pimples. I've heard of using aspirin to turn cysts to heads in 2 days, but I'm unsure of trying this as some home remedies I've used on cystic acne just made them worse. Does this work? and are there other treatments that will actually t
  6. Can Milk of Magnesia Applied Topically Help with Acne?

Milk of magnesia is an over-the-counter oral medication for relieving indigestion, constipation, heartburn, and upset stomach. Although milk of magnesia is only sold for oral use, some people with acne apply it topically in an attempt to treat acne breakouts and improve the appearance of acne scars. However, there is currently no scientific evidence that regular milk of magnesia has any effect on acne. What Is Milk of Magnesia? Milk of magnesia is a milky-looking liquid consisting...
  7. Hello everyone, I'm 19 years old, male, vegetarian, and I have oily skin. I have been reading much on acne.org and other websites for acne cures. I started getting acne when I was 15. My dermatologist prescribed me isotroin. It cleared my skin but because of side-effects, I had to stop it, and my face once again got covered with acne. Now I get ocassional pimples, but they leave a huge hyperpigmentation spot. The frequency of such pimples is 2-3 per week and they stick around for 1-2 weeks.
