    Accutane And Daily Life

Hi there, I'm 23 and this is the first time I've ever posted on a forum... NOOB indeed... I am on day 3 of my ACCUTANE and have become addicted to reading the horror stories on the net - particularly the 'it gets a lot worse before it gets better' types. I was just wondering, how do people cope with their daily lives when they're looking a certain way? Peeling badly, acne at its peak, etc? I'm currently in university and am dreading showing my face for the last few months

    Hiding Away, For How Long?

I notice myself hiding away from the world with acne. Telling people I have an eye sensitivity which is why sunglasses need to be worn at all times when outside (even when its not sunny) - just so I can hide, Hide away from those stares of disgust. Anyone get them? Those glares, as if you have a third eye in the middle of your forehead - but in fact its probably just a pimple. I notice that I cant look in the mirror with my contacts/glasses on, I run away from mirrors, or somehow blurr my vi
  3. I know this has probably been talked about many times, but I just wanted to get this off my mind and onto a post so then I can see others who can relate in some way. For the last couple of months, I have been hiding away from people or any source of light whenever I can. I am always afraid of people seeing the bumps on my face and them judging me. I have always been a shy person, but ever since I produced this severity of acne, it hasn't helped. Sure, it makes me try to be less shy s
  4. I have some white heads and redness on my face, but tonight I'm going out and I need to hide them. I don't want to pop them as they'll get really sore and red. I need help fast! Thanks I
  5. Long story short, when I was in high school I had mild acne, but it really bothered me. I ended up skipping too many classes on my "bad days" and ultimately had to leave school without finishing. I kind of slipped through the system with little notice. So now I am trying to finish my high school diploma, mostly through online courses. I recently signed up for a day class in which you stay for 3 hours a day and get that credit in one month, but ... yes, I am dropping out Monday, because of all

My Journey With Acne (Mild) [2]

Hey y'all So today is day three using the Acne.org regimen. There's a slight difference since yesterday - not much, but it's still there. The biggest change I noticed was between days one and two of using The Regimen. When I reach day seven I hope to up the dose of benzoyl peroxide. My goal is to be clear in three weeks. But I know these things take time and I don't want to jinx them, so I'll just say I hope to be clear in a month - if not, i'll persevere. I really do find it difficult to li
  7. I suffered from acne for about 11 years. 8 of those years it actually affected my life for the worst. So much that I wouldnt be where i am today or be the person I am today because of it. That thought of that alone blows my mind away. It still upsets me from time to time because of what I could have done and learned in that time. But as I look at it I would never be able to help anyone like I hope I can. I havent had acne problems in 10 years. Hell , I rarely use any cleansers anymore. I
