  1. This is a repost of a previous discussion. I am reposting because I feel that I had put it in the wrong category. Ok, so I'm going to try and fit this all in together. Also, excuse my grammar....I'm just typing my thoughts and they're not all perfectly spelled, or punctuated. Awhile back I had posted that I had burned myself with TCA cross. It's 2 years later and unfortunately I am left with the permanent scars. They're certainly not what they were, but I have permanent red hy
  2. i apologize for the lengthy-ness of this post but i hope one of you amazing people can help me out or give me insight. So I had been on a birthcontrol called Tri LynYah which I believe is generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen. My skin was pretty normal besides a few minor outbreaks before my period, nothing I couldn't handle. However, back in July of this year when I got my birthcontrol from the pharmacy it was not the same, the label said "this is the same medication you've been taking" except, it wasn'
  3. I started using Hibiclens yesterday and poured a little in a foaming soap bottle and then added water and shook it up. Right now I just put the foam on my problem areas and watch it dissolve into my pimpes & etc. I don't rinse it off. Do you think this diluted foam is a good option? How do you use Hibilcens on your face & trouble spots?
  4. Seems to work on my acne pretty well. Just wondering if there is a side effect I'm not aware of? ty
  5. They're certainly not what they were, but I have permanent red hyper pigmentation, and a few depressed scars. Anyway, at the moment that is the least of my concerns. I had been off of Ac
  6. Hi guys, newbie here little background; after going on the birth control injection a few years ago I started to break out, before that I got the occasional spot but nothing bad. I used t topical solution And cepton skin wash prescribed from doctor and it worked wonderfully. I never broke out once and always had clear skin. T Topical got discontinued so I went without for a while and then havoc struck Lately I'm breaking out alot. A lot. Whether it's the hard really sore pimples that come to
  7. Hi all, So for the past year or so I've been getting this stubborn pustular acne that doesn't respond to Benzoyl Peroxide very well. Ever since I started getting it, I've been applying Dan's BP generously at night, but so far I have never really succeeded at being 100% clear. The acne is extremely painful / tender, and rapidly develops into a pus-filled head. The head either dries up, or bursts (oftentimes I've been squeezing these pimples myself, because it's unprofessional to walk around wi
  8. Hi guys, To avoid going on a long rant, I am going to try and keep this as short and sweet as possible... I've been battling what I've self-diagnosed as Folliculitis on my scalp and face for 5 years now. I've seen dermatologists and have been treated with all types of oral and topical anti-biotics. During treatment, all is good - 100% clearance. After treatment, the Folliculitis comes back stronger than ever. I refuse to take more oral anti-biotics as I believe these can be very damaging
  9. I used hibiclens to wash my face after an awful cystic breakout all over my face and didn't use any moisturiziation so the wash could kill the bacteria. I'd leave the hibiclens on for sometimes up to an hour a couple times a day. it worked but now even three months after stopping I'm left with red clogged skin that reacts to EVERYTHING I don't know what to do. my nose is especially bad... it's so oily and red and bumpy irritated looking. I'm only washing with water and using olay deep hydration
  10. so I had a really awful breakout in August- whole face was covered in cystic acne, literally my whole face in just two nights. I panicked and read about Hibiclens, an antibacterial wash used in hospitals. it worked very quickly to rid me of all the cysts and inflammation and I was just left with red marks. in order to clear the the cysts I washed my face with hibiclens about 4 times a day at times leaving it on for an hour then washing it off with NO MOISTURIZER. (I know, awful for my skin) now
