  2. I am 22 years old and I am a long time acne fighter. I have done countless hours of research on online forums and sites trying to figure out different ways to cure my acne. I for the most part have my acne under control with diet and basic healthy choices and have dramatically cleared up my acne by reducing the hormonal spike that happens from sugars and processed foods and replacing them with vegetables and probiotics. I still have one lingering problem however; Whenever I do heavy compound lif
  3. I've been doing tons of research on herbs that will reduce sebum production when taken internally and found that saw palmetto seems to really do the job. However, I don't want to try it because of the side effects ; the reason why I'm looking for an herbal solution is because I want to avoid side effects. Sooo basically I came across a web page that said rosemary could help lessen oily skin but that was the only web page that mentioned taking rosemary internally to reduce oil production. Other w

  6. After a failed attempt with Saw Palmetto (for acne & facial hair;result: disaster zone), birth control (Ocella for 3 days, I broke out immediately), Retin A (peeling, redness, sensitivity and even worse with Differin), Minocycline (it's just okay, but someday the body will resist), No more vitamins and herbs, such a waste of money -except L-lysine (helps my skin heal quicker, its awesome, and juicing (ahhh juicing ...juicing WORKED!) My skin never looked better. I first tried fresh jui
  7. I was wondering if anyone has come across myomin when researching estrogen dominance. I saw my dr. and I'm waiting for my hormone tests to come back, but she thinks that in addition to high androgens I also have high estrogen. So far, I have been treating high androgens and low progesterone with good results, but haven't address estrogen in my treatment. Anyway, the doctor told me to look into myomin and see if I'm comfortable taking it. I've seen it mentioned briefly on PCOS forums but not he

  9. Hi All, Lets start by clearing the AIR blood. We all seem to be quick at trying to apply products and chemicals to our faces and bodies to help cure the acne/spots that are naturally occurring (I am guilty of this also). O.K fair enough desperate measures call for desperate actions, but why do we turn to the un-natural option? Why do we think the pharmaceutical companies and their drugs offer the fastest and most effective results? Well first and foremost the cause of acne and spots

  11. I'm wondering if I'm purging or breaking out? Is it too soon to tell? How long should I stick with the healing oil? 4 days ago, I began using a healing oil called "Kutus Kutus" (its Indonesian). It claims to fix many problems, like acne and acne scars. I apply the oil to my problem areas. Ingredients: I can't find a full list of ingredients anywhere but some of the ingredients are Coconut oil, Gaharu, Ashitaba Leaf, Purwoceng, Pule, Intaran / Neem, Temulawak, Bunga Lawang, Ginger,
  12. Hello! I have been on Retin-A 0.1% for almost a year now. For the most part I've been very happy with it... but, I guess I'm feeling frustrated. about two months back i was getting foundation matched at the counter and the lady used what seemed like an alcohol makeup remover... or something along those lines. Anyways it gave me a chemical burn for a good week and I suffered from rashes all down my chest. So I kinda had to taper off the Retin-A to every other day so my face wouldn't hurt so bad
  13. There are a lot of herbal / essential oils on the market, many which are touted as effective against acne: Volatile essential oils: Tea tree, thyme, eucalyptus, lavender, neem etc. Non volatile herbal oils (that don't smell): Tamanu, Calendula, Jojoba, Grape seed, Macademia nut etc. I've seen some clinical trials comparing in vitro efficacy of some essential oils, I believe thyme came out on top against e.g. tea tree, but I'm wondering if anyone here have experimented with pure oils
