  1. I have started trying to consciously practice seeing myself as more than my acne. This might seem like an obvious practice, or something that should come naturally; but for me it is defiantly not. Acne has given me a negative attitude towards my body. I feel as though my body has failed my in some way and is not functioning properly despite my efforts. But this attitude is unhealthy, and I have come to find the following positive thoughts have helped me feel a little more peaceful in times of
  2. Background: My acne started around 14-15, and gradually worsened until I was 18. I was an 18 year old female about to graduate high school and I was so fed up with acne, having have tried everything under the sun known as acne medications. Over-the-counter creams, washes, BP, chemical peels, diets, antibiotics (topical/internally), natural medicine, herbal teas, rituals (lol I know), retinoids, birth control, pretty much everything aside from Accutane. My acne was all over my forehead (small fle
  3. Hi Everyone, My family and I went to PEI back in June 2011, and we drove by a small farm that made and was selling all natural, farm-fresh and handmade goat's milk soaps and creams. We bought a whole bunch of things and went home, thinking nothing of it. Well! My daughter had severe eczema around her mouth and face, and by using this soap, it cured it completely in just two weeks! We were shocked, as we had tried EVERYTHING, every natural or medicated cream, even antibiotics, but NOTHIN

I am getting some cystic outbreaks in random places of my face that I did not have acne prior to accutane. NOTHING horrible. If these outbreaks continue then my dose will be increased at my next monthly check up. Since my last post I have experienced these symptoms: migraine on one occasion dryness increasing on skin, decreasing on scalp dry eyes, so
  5. Today I am 20 years old. I Took accutane for 6 months when I was 18 & 1/2 right up to my 19th birthday For a little less than a year post accutane I had been dealing with scaly red dry skin. I wasn't taking care of my face and I let it get out of hand. I just want people to know how important it is to have a good skin care routine. Personally for me, post accutane, my skin is more sensitive now than it was before, but I don't get acne. The lack of sebum production has caused me t
  6. Hi there, The intention of this thread is to create an ongoing list of tips and tricks to help ease the urge to pick! I'm sure many of these tips are things you have already heard of, but I over the course of the last 6 months I have managed to decrease my obsessive skin picking dramatically using a combination of these techniques. This list is not exhaustive, feel free to add any suggestions, and good luck! Mild exfoliation My skin leans towards being quite dry, which means I can suffer fr
