  2. On day 12 of accutane and my skin is really starting to breakout all over, lots of little red pimples everywhere which is not something I've ever really had, hopeing it will get better soon
  3. Hi, recently the pass 6 -7 months I have been struggling with moderate to serve acne and some days are better then others. But no day is perfect. Before these 7 months I would get maybe one or two pimples a week and they were easy to deal with and NEVER once did they ever scare. Now I find every pimple I get scares for a week at the shortest and some have been here for months although have slightly faded are still there and red. Acne has ruined my social life, I can't remember the last time I
  4. Hello to anyone reading this, I have had bad skin which quickly turned into acne since I was 12. I moved schools at this age and used to get bullied because I was different. As many others, when it first started my mum said it was just "teenage skin" probably only a few pimples. I have seen photos of me then and it didn't look to bad. Throughout the years I have tried very hard to control my skin, using lots of different products on my face. Nothing seemed to help it. I had no confidence and did
  5. So this is my first entry, and I think I should start with who I am. Maybe this will help you relate and maybe stuff that helps me will help you! So I'm a 21 year old girl with not too severe acne but enough acne to lower my self-esteem. My journey so far: I had baby skin throughout puberty. Like. My skin was epic. Beautiful. Made from the gods. Okay, maybe not that good but you get the picture. And then it slowly said "F you UnspoiledDude, F you!" and changed into this mess of a skin.
  6. I'm still using the medication, and the dial soap I switched to a black soap from Boscia (But still switch them both on and off). Also I am using a good moisturizer. But I have notice big changes after I stopped using my medication amitriptyline maybe I should start taking it again, or is my body detoxing??? I could really use some advice on what to do...wait it out or continue my use of it?

    Day One: Skincare

Skincare changes began tonight: 7/9/2016 I quit panoxyl 10% and my persa-gel 10 (although it's a great spot treatment, it's too irritating). I used vaseline on my face and neck to help bring in moisture due to cracked and excessively dry, flaky skin from benzoyl peroxide. I washed that off with cetaphil gentle skin cleanser (a holy grail product) I currently will be using 3 products for the next 2 weeks. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (morning and night)
  8. Hi there guys I was just wondering if someone could tell me what severity of acne I have. I have had acne since I was about 12-13 much worse than it is now. Currently I use epiduo every night with aveeno moisturiser afterwards and I use a black pore mask once a week. However despite this I continue to suffer with large red pimples under the skin that are painful and take a long time to go away. Does anyone have any tips to help get rid of these because they make me extremely unhappy and make me
  9. Sigh. I'm back. Again. I had a blog here before, however my picking has not gotten better, in fact, it has gotten worse, and now I have done so much damage to my face that it is starting scar. I fairly good skin, though I do get break outs from time to time, but that's not really the issue. It doesn't really matter what my skin is like because I will ATTACK it anyways. I have to say that it has definitely gotten worse since my accident in last august (2013). I cut my toes off with

    More Acne

Trying to figure out what I should do. It looks like I am getting two little bumps near my newest pimple and I'm just worried that they're going to get bigger. I don't know how to describe them, but they are raised bumps and almost look like they're just going to be tiny pimples that usually come to a head, but they never do. Can someone please help me? I honestly feel like I can't win. If these two pimples get bigger I don't know what I'm going to do.
  11. 12. Hey everyone! So it's basically day 8 for me of my claravis journey and I'm having really bad back pains. I don't know if it's from sleeping in a bad position or if it's from the drug, because back pains are a side effect of the drug. If it is from the drug, are those side effects supposed to come that early? I have no idea to be honest. It hurts a lot and I'm not used to having such an intense pain in my back. It's especially inconvenient that I have these back pains because tomorrow I'll be wa
  13. Hey people, i've wrote a new article on how to get rid of a spot overnight!! Go read please. *Moderator edit, URL removed - read the board rules*
  14. Yes, getting rid of acne has been a breeze for me, but what hasn't been so easy to get rid of have been my blackheads. I have a lot on my nose and some around it and on my chin. I also have some on my forehead. My cheeks are clear though. (phew) Now that acne isn't such a pain anymore, my blackheads have become far more noticeable!! So, I did some research. Apparently black soap for blackheads seems to work! African Black Soap. But does it really? Is it as gentle and effective as everyone says
  15. All over the internet, I have seen a lot of buzz around benzoyl peroxide. about 5 or 6 months ago I was using a 10% benzoyl peroxide soap that I had purchased a while back. At first, I found that it actually helped, and I used the bar on my face and body. However, last summer, while using the soap bar, I noticed some redness along the sides and around my nose. Thinking that everything was normal and I was washing my face too much, I continued using the soap. Huge mistake. Some time after, treme
  16. I'm currently Day 14 following The Regimen I've seen minor improvements on my face, no new acne popping up in my face and the older ones are gone by now or at least very dry. However, I can still se acne scars here and there due to the old acne. My only concern is that my face is now darker than the usual color also when being compared to my neck. The skin also tends to get very dry after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, should I scrub off the dry skin on my face or just leave it as it

  18. This is my skin at the moment I've been on isotrex and minoxycelline for just over a week. I'm upset and I can't deal with this anymore. This is my first time with acne. My skin has been like this for about 2 weeks. What do you guys think!
  19. Hi there. I've been on isotrex for just over a week now and I know that you are meant to peel during the progress. Anyways was wondering , in the morning does it matter if you peel it off or should I wait until I wash it off? Does it have any major effect if peel some of it of myself ?
  20. Hi I was on yasmin contraceptive pill 2 years ago when I was 18 and it cleared my skin up completely (I didn't have a skin problem at the time) I was on it for about 3 months or so. Now 20 I went back on it and I've been on it since the start of November I think and It hasn't cleared the acne that I just got! I went docs n they say I have high levels of androgen but they think it was the stress I had. Do u think the yasmin did this to my skin even though it cleared it once before? And even w
  21. I have been on this birth control for 1 month so far and I have been experiencing the worst breakouts. I started birth control for reasons other than acne. My face was pretty clear before birth control and I had never gotten any body acne before using Tri-previfem. I have been getting huge zits within the first month of this pill. Two large cysts on my Chin and two large cysts on my nose. In the past I have only broken out on my chin during that time of the month and that was about it. Now it's
  22. My skin is worse... I wake up with around 2 cysts every day and they are leaving behind brutal scarring that can't be covered with makeup. I have also noticed smaller closed comedones popping up everywhere. It doesn't help that I am so stressed about this. I am really unsure of what to do... I am scared that my hormones have been permanently fucked from stopping mid pack and taking a break. I see my dermatologist in 6 weeks...which is a lot of time for things to either improve or worsen. I fe
  23. My doctor put me on birth control (ortho-tricyclen) after my first period in middle school. Fast forward - clear skin for almost my entire life until I turn 19 and decide I don't need to be on synthetic hormones. Three months later, cystic acne all over my cheeks, jawline, and neck. Sound familiar? Straight away I go to the derm. Get put back on ortho-tri. I stayed on the ortho tri only to experience mediocre results, then moved onto yaz for three months which caused a literal facial explosion

  25. I am about to start Accutane in a couple of days and I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time. I already have a lot of scarring on my face and was wondering if any of you have used Bio Oil on your face while taking Accutane. I have heard wonderful, wonderful things of both Accutane and Bio Oil, but not a lot about them mixed together. But how amazing would it be to able to tame my scars and acne over the course of the 6 months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated; and not just
