    Weird bumps on face

Hello everyone. So, I have a problem with my skin and it's that I have these little colourless bumps on my face. At first it was only on my forehead, but now it's also on my cheeks and on my chin. It looks really bad in certain light, especially in bathroom light and in the sun and also in pictures, which makes me really self conscious (I have linked a picture). I really hope some of you can help me with what it is and how I can get rid rid of it!
  3. First of all, I am a high school senior. I dont want lectures on why i shouldn't be drinking or some nonsense like that. I can't think of an adult that I know that didn't drink in high school. Anyways, I have about two weeks left of my accutane course, 60 mg/day. I drank on saturday (for the first time in the 5 months of the course) and i got pretty drunk. I drank a ton of water during the drinking session though. The next morning, I was tired. That's it. No headache, no puking, nothing. No real
  4. Hi everyone thank you for taking your time to read this. In this article I will keep saying me because it worked for me. We are all different. But this might help you! so let's start! Little background first: I am 23 years old. My skin had lots of acne from the age of 20 till the age of 22. I lived in Florida. This is what helped me to get rid of my acne. There are 3 factors that played a roll in my acne. 1. Food 2. Products 3. Stress Food is a big part! what you eat, is who
  5. Hi, I'm 17 and male and I have moderate acne (mostly on my cheeks, white heads and red spots) I really need to cure this, it is destroying my life. I have had acne since i was 13 I'm currently trying a no wheat and no milk diet but after 3 weeks i see no improvement. I miss eating wheat and dairy foods.. Does diet actually affect acne? I eat all organic. Also, is it alright if i eat wheat without gluten? Or should i eliminate all wheat? I use Desert essence face wash and a natural alo
  6. There has been much debate in this community about the health value (or lack thereof) of grains, especially wheat. I thought this article was worth posting. I for one was VERY happy to see these things being talked about on a mainstream site such as CBS news... it's inspiring that the word is really starting to spread about this. "(CBS News) Modern wheat is a "perfect, chronic poison," according to Dr. William Davis, a cardiologist who has published a book all about the world's most popular g
  7. I just joined this community because I wanted to share my story, and I hope I can help people with my information. My skin type: Olive-medium colored skin, oily, sensitive. My breakouts were on my forehead (after working out), cheeks, jaw line and sometimes reached down to my neck. They ranged from small pus pockets to cystic. I'm female, so they also did flare up even more before my menstrual cycle, so it could have been a hormonal thing as well. Not really sure. I've tried: P
  8. Hi All, I'm writing today because I'm SUPER frustrated with my skin right now. I've just hit 9 weeks using epiduo gel this past Friday; I experienced an initial breakout during the first 3-4 weeks but I knew this was normal. It cleared around week 5, but reappeared during week 6. I was super discouraged. I finally cleared during week 7, but have recently began breaking out again - HORRIBLY. I currently am using epiduo at night (pea sized amount) about 30 mins after I wash my face with Cetaphil
  9. I am a gay 22 year old male. I've had nodular acne for about 10 years now. Its come to a point in my life now that it has become a hindrance for alot of things in my life. As a young gay male, you want to go out be seen and have fun...not as in being scandalous. I can't wear certain clothing out because it'll show what's covering my body. I have them on my chest, back, hips, and minimal on my neck and glutes. I can't help it but envy alot of the other gay guys :/ being able to be comfortable wit

Continuing On And On And On And On

So, what it's been like 4 days? 5 days? Man i'm dodgy at keeping track and doing daily updates but whatevs bru So I actually think something's happening... well at least I think it is... it doesn't seem any worse at least thank goodness and I have actually been told that it's looking better so here's hoping for continued recovery! I've actually been a bit naughty lately too and ate some bread! shock horror! which I'm not meant to do due to gluten not meshing with the old bods and all..

    Supplements I take

I am believer that the most important part about health is what we eat and drink. I love kale and spinach and veggies, but I also love mac and cheese, donuts ,cakes, and fries. Part of me wants to be very healthy and another part of me believes in balance and martinis. When I had acne, I was doing so much research on good supplements and healthy foods, so I still practice a lot of it. My skin is damaged from acne and I still break out if I skip some of my regime and at the same time now I have t
  12. Hi guys-- Most of the blogs I share are on nutritional topics but since this is also a holistic form, and that includes emotional health, I thought I'd share my latest blog. It's about self image, anxiety and the obsession we can develop with our skin problems. http://thecircledancer.blogspot.com/2012/12/acne-and-self-image-reality-in-mirror.html It was hard for me to write this because this is something I've been struggling with for a long time, sometimes very badly. Recently I've been

  15. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and to Accutane (Roaccutane in the UK). I'm on 30mg a day and have just I completed my first month, I had my blood work done on Monday for my monthly check up. Lately I can't help but notice how full I've been without eating. I've been eating a minimul amount everyday not through choice and have read that a lack of appetite can be linked to liver problems. As we know, Accutane is processed by the liver so I'm a little scared that the Accutane could be doing some
  16. Hi there, I've been lurking these forums for a little while now and I see a lot of people claiming a change of diet was the one cure for their acne. What information I can find about the diet/acne connection is limited and inconclusive and it makes me skeptical. I want to try it but I don't know where to start. What I do know is that I get enough sleep (most of the time, but I'm working on it), I wash and moisturize morning and night and exfoliate every few days (I might stop, it may be irritati
  17. I wanted to share my story and struggle with acne in the hope other people can relate and share their advice, including any information they may have found that could help. Long story short, I began to suddenly suffer with severe acne two years ago - unsure and frustrated with why this suddenly occurred I was put on a 4 month prescription of Accutane or Roaccutane depending where you're from. The accutane helped, it cleared my skin significantly and didn't damage my liver etc. 1 year later
  18. If you don't already know about how your skin is connected to your gut (furthermore how your entire health is connected to your gut), go ahead and research it. The human gut is the second most powerful organ (after the brain) and is connected to over 150 diseases. A good person to look up is Chris Kresser. It is not possible to build over your bad gut with healthy diets (such as the Paleo diet) (which i tried to do), it will only keep in the same place, if not make things worse. You must reset y

    Desperate For Help

Hi everyone! So I've been lurking acne.org for about two years now and this is my first time posting. I'm very desperate to find a solution to my chronic moderate cystic acne issue. Sorry this is so long but I really would love some advice! Ok so here it goes: I'm currently almost 20 years old and throughout my teenage years I suffered from a little bit of acne that healed very quickly and it started to get better as I got older. Never ever washed my face. But silly me before college decided I

    Allergies and Acne

(moderators, please do not move this from the general acne discussion forum) Hey Guys! So my darling mother has always spent way too much time on scouring through Google and watching Dr Phil to diagnose herself with any number of things, and it drives me nuts. She's tried to diagnose me with all sorts ever since I could remember, but within the last year, I became very firm with her about not doing that anymore. One of the last things she had brought up before my 'ban' was "histamine intoler
  21. Hello all! I have written my testimony/story for those who want to read it! For those who don't, keep scrolling and I will talk about my cure below I was taking oral medications to treat my acne for about five years. My dermatologist thought it would be okay for me to be on such medications for that long. Somewhere in those five years, there was a time where I didn’t have a period for nine months. My hormones were completely out of order, and after that nine month time frame, I got off Sp

    Does Soy cause acne

Hey Guys, I am trying to cut down on meat and eat lots of vegetables etc. I bought a lot of stuff to use for food, but they all contain some sort of soy. I once heard that soy did contain some hormones like milk, that could cause acne, is that true? I don't eat dairy
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9qX4ao4yjU Hey everyone my name is Connor. I took Accutane for 5 months, 80 mg a day when I was 17 years old. I am now 19 and in the past few months have taken my recovery seriously and have made some great progress. I am feeling better now. I would like to share some experiences and what is working for. The main points I a want to get across are: You can recover. It is entirely possible. Depending on the how hard you work will determine how fast you improve.
  24. Some general tips I know that have worked for me are: Drink a lot more water throughout the day, it makes you feel good and your skin feel fresh! Don’t touch your face, your hands are probably dirty and you are putting that on your face! Watch what you eat. Ideally you need to stay away from sugar, dairy and processed foods because they clog your pores and are bad for your health in general! Do some sort of physical activity, it’s not only good for your face but it is also go
  25. Right now i am on no gluten diet and eating plain boiled white rice in lunch and dinner, in small quantity with lots of veggies, lentils and salad. I could switch to brown rice for now, but that's not problem.. The issue is 2 months after checking myself for gluten intolerance and its effect on skin, I will be living in a hostel, so would not be able to control what's being cooked. I would like to add whole wheat grain rotis (Indian whole wheat flat-bread with no added sugar, not the refined
