  1. Before accutane i was very active went gym 4 times a week and worked out a lot. At the moment i have exams so i cant really work out apart from home training (pushups pullups squats situps etc). But last week i just couldn't take it and went to the gym i was training my back so i was deadlifting normally its never a problem i never ever experienced any lower back pain, however this time i couldnt even lift 100kg without pain in my lower back, which is normally a warm up for me. Throughout the co
  2. Greetings, I wanted to make a topic about gym and acne. I am now 20 years old and have been fighting acne back and forth for the past 4 years. Throughout these years I have both been working out at the gym and not working out at all. My gym periods and pauses are usually around 6 months to a year which is enough time to notice any difference in the skin. I have noticed that during the periods when I workout I get way more acne than when I dont. I have been completely clear during the periods w
  3. I have currently been on accutane and this is my 3rd month running 20mg daily, next month I'll be taking 40mg daily. I have seen lots of people run cycles and Accutane and get amazing results. But I'm starting an anadrol50mg oral cycle and my main concern is that this may affect my kidney or liver but the cycle only goes for 4 weeks... My main question is WILL THIS get in the way of the accutane eliminating my acne and WILL this damage my liver? What if i take anadrol50mg in the morning and accu
  4. Alright, to set the record straight this stuff DOES work. It will not work within 2 weeks, I have been on it for 2 and a half months and I am still not 100% clear. I am not going to sit here and say that I have horrible acne, because I don't. I have moderate acne that is mostly around my chin area, but I really want to share what I have learned from this line. If you are beginning the regimen, order the 8 oz cleanser, bp, and moisturizer and follow the rules. Try your hardest not to pick. Yo
  5. Hi all I am 20 and I have for the 1st time ever developed really bad acne on my back, and shoulders and the odd spot on my face.I first got the acne on my chest and it wasn't severe at all, but now I have it in the above locations and it is moderately severe. I first noticed this when I started going to the gym and doing intensive weight training so I think it may be either due to androgen increases or sweating a lot. I think it may be due to the sweating because I didn't take a shower a
  6. Day 2 of the acne.org regimen with my products and the epsom salt soak. My face is starting to dry up no new cysts or pustules. Went to the gym this morning sat in the sauna for about 30 minutes. So far so good.
  7. hi everyone, im basically new to using supplement for body building. Since about 2 months ago I've been using 100% gold standard whey (optimumnutrition dot com) and jack3d (jack-3d dot com), but I realize one of these two (or both) supplements are giving me consistent acne breakouts. If I try my best to eat healthy and don't use supplement at all, I would only grow acne once every 2-3 weeks and sometimes they are just pimples. But ever since I bought these supplements, I always grow acne at leas
  8. Hey guys, before I had acne I used to hit the gym almost everyday, and take shakes (phD Whey Protein) everyday. I used to drink a lot of milk just generally - I love cold milk I have no idea why - and I would mix it with my protein powder. My diet wasn't very 'acne-friendly', I would eat a lot of eggs and chicken (hormones everywhere ) and the whey which I consumed had IGF-1 (which correlates with sebum production) so as soon as my acne got worse I had to stop eating those foods in excess and
  9. It's been a few weeks since I last updated this blog, so be prepared for a long one! Right now, without hopefully jinxing it, I have no actives on my face!! It's by no means clear however, unfortunately still some quite persistent lumps from previous spots that just won't go down . I also have A LOT of hyperpigmentation and a few scars so definitely not looking clear by any means. But I honestly can't believe this right now, after just 4 weeks I've reached a point where I am going a good few
  10. Sorry for the rather marketing sounding title, just thought this might be a place where I can get some advice So I've dealt with acne for a very long time.... I've had my ups and downs like everyone else here. I noticed about 2 years ago that my acne can be made about 95% clear through diet and ever since I've been gluten/wheat, soy, and dairy free. The last couple of months I've been at about 4800 calories bulking (eating in a calorie surplus to gain muscle mass and strength) at the gym whi
  11. Hi guys, I want to start taking some supplements/pre-workout for the gym… but I have heard that it can cause acne, even in people who aren't prone (I am!). If if anybody knows any solutions, let me know :).
  12. Hi, my name is Brian. I have had moderate acne on my face and shoulders, and mild acne on my chest for about 5 years. I just completed three months of antibiotic treatment. Along with the antibiotic, I used Ziana and Sumadan. I saw significant improvement in these past 3 months, but I was still getting regular breakouts, and decided to ask my dermatologist for Accutane. What I hope my experience will be like: -I will be able to keep working out 5 days a week at normal intensity (This is the
  13. Hey all. I'm just wondering what your regimen's are if you are someone who works out like myself? Also wondering if this is too much cleansing for combination, cystic-prone & acne-prone skin? 8:30 AM - Wash my face before work (Spectro Gel Wash, Moisturizer) 7:00 PM - Shower and wash my face again post workout (Spectro Gel Wash, Moisturizer) Midnight - Wash my face before bed (Spectro Gel Wash, Prescription Acne Stuff which is quite drying) ???? .
  14. I'm typing this while looking down at my hands. I have weird little bumps right across the dorsal side, between my thumb and forefinger ('dorsal' being the scientific term for top of a hand , and thumb and forefinger being...my thumb and forefinger.) They look a little like spots but I've been told it's eczema. It isn't painful or anything so I'm not fussed, it just looks like I have lots of freckles. Have a spot on the right side of my chin which feels like a bruise. I'd think it was one if
  15. I'm a 35 year old male. For the last 2 years, I have started going to the gym, and swimming, 2-3 times per week. I've always been prone to mild acne, but during this time I've noticed a big increase in the amount of acne I'm getting. I take hygiene seriously and usually wash my face before I work out, and always shower at the gym straight after. So, what's going on? I don't think it's necessarily a sweat/pore issue, but I'm starting to think that the hormones I'm releasing through exercise a
