  1. I was on just retin-a and moisturizer and pretty much acne free for like 3 months or so. No painful cystic acne etc, but recently I started taking whey protein which didn't really break me out but then with the whey protein + milk, I started taking Walgreens brand one a day multivitamin which has b6 b12 in it, I don't know if it has iodine or not though. Now I am slowly breaking out with cystic acne. I've tried drinking green tea and stuff to get the multivitamin outta my body but it's been ab
  2. Hello everyone. First of all I'd like to say I've been coming on this site for around two months now but never bothered to register. I just did some reading and what not, seeing how people dealt with their own Acne. So I had quite bad Acne at one point, real painful spots sprouting up all over the place every day. It really knocked my confidence and I felt terrible all the time. I'd put off social events and stuff as I was so self concious. I'll start with my diet. Diet I used to eat rubbish
  3. I have been using this Regimen Recently... it works like a charm for Red Marks Specifically The Regimen : 1. I take out 2 Green Tea bags , Cut them open, pour both into a bowl. 2. I add little warm Water, mix them together 3. I add a tea spoon of Red Wine Vinegar, Mix again 4. I add Flour to make it into a Paste, Mix again 5. I apply this after Cleansing 6. Rub in Gentle Circular Motions on Areas needed.. The Tea Leaves act as an Exfoliator as well 7. Leave on face for 5-10 Minutes,
  4. The pictures are in my previous post.. I'm not feeling to well to post any new ones up. In the morning I had green tea and a tomatoe. DISGUSTING. but all i had in my fridge that wouldn't trigger my acne. I took my supplements. Zinc and Garlic and my multivitamins. I drank a liter of green tea (freshly brewed kind, decaff) but i think it was the zinc that made me throw up. I am clue less on what to do. I refuse to eat anything. My mom was telling me (i brought chicken) and then I threw up. She d
  5. just want to share~ long story short i remember i had acne breakout after i had food poisoning 2 years ago i slept bad, ate bad, basically my body system is messed up i went to multiple dermatologists and nothing really worked till one day i went out of town and didn't bring any products with me along. For 2 days i didnt clean my face and didn't use any topical creams and guess what? Nothing happened, no breakout or whatsoever. so my advice for oily skin people: 1) stop using
  6. The past four days, my face has been breaking out every few hours. I was a little sick and shivery the past two days, but I'm over that now. My skin is very dry, slightly itchy almost always, and my chin and the sides of my face are covered in zits. Some whiteheads will pop up semi-frequently, and then others will die out fairly frequently as well. Occasionally, some sort of toxic smell will emanate from my body. It happens at random times, but it's the strongest a little soon after I drink a cu
  7. Heyy guys, Iv just bought some Fuller's Earth Clay/Powder after reading good reviews about it for oily & acne skin *sigh*.. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it?? And what's the best ingredient to mix it with to make it more powerful? Iv read that green tea is ideal? Thanks.
  8. My 8 year quest to discover the proper way to remove blackheads (and at this point I know dramatic changes can only happen long term) has yielded no successful results lol. So I would really appreciate if I could just hear of at least one individual in this community who really was able to remove most of their blackheads (my nose looks like a stippling project that I did in art class while I was a kid), and how.. Thank you so much Note: Oh yeah, so my skincare regimen is; -Cleanse
  9. In the past, I was on Tricyclen for 2 years. I remember having mood swings, being very tired, and having bad breakouts for 2-3 months, and then clearing up except when I got really stressed in school/work. I went off it for a few months, and have re-started. I'm on Week 6. I remember that every time I start a new pack, the second row of pills (0.215mg) makes me break out like mad, and makes my mood swings even worse....I cry for no reason (well, mostly about acne, but I normally wouldn't c
  10. Long story short- I got an eyebrow wax while on Accutane. I know you're not supposed to get waxed but I thought hardwax would be okay. The sign in the spa said "If you're on Retin-a, antibiotics, blah blah...or Accutane, ask for hardwax." Wouldn't that indicate that hardwax was safe for Accutane? Supposedly it's gentler....:/ Anyway, I feel really stupid because my skin was ripped up. One side is much worse than the other. I expected it to scab but it didn't. This happened last night. I wok
  11. Hello! I was wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with the lchf or gi diet. Did it work in your experience? How long did it take? I would be very greatful if anyone could mention a diet that worked for them. BONUS MOTHER******* does green tea really help with acne? If so, which? Once again thank you!
  12. I've been putting this off for a long time. I've tried maintaining a diary but this is just more convenient. Okay, so on the 27th of September, I decided to go a month without sugar or dairy. This is the first time I've ever tried eliminating food. I'm a butter/cheese lover, and I REALLY enjoy my chocolates, so it started off pretty hard, but surprisingly by the end of week 1, I stopped having cravings. I've got extremely oily skin with mild acne (there's always a pimple or two, either on
  13. For 24 hours, I am replacing soda with green tea. (I drink a lot of soda.) I doubt one day will make the tiniest difference in my skin. What I'm looking for is any change in how I feel at the end of the day. And if there is any change, I'm going to keep it going for a week. And still a week probably isn't enough time for it to make an impact in my skin, but I am hopeful. Wish me luck.
  14. I've never posted before, but I stalk these boards on a daily basis. I'm 25/f and JUST recently (about a week after my 25th birthday) started getting insane breakouts (for the last 3 months now I would say light to moderate, since i've seen that others out there have much more severe conditions. None the less, its all new to me and in my eyes i feel like its severe *i know its not* but its depressing to not want to look in the mirror, and to not feel pretty... ever. never thought my face
  15. Hey guys, I've been lurking here for well over 6 months now and finally decided to post. Starting off, I've tried just about everything since the age of 13 when I first started breaking out: -ortho tricyclin -numerous antibiotics -some other acne pills I forgot the names of -tons of topicals including: epiduo, retin a, clyndamycin, adapalene, tretinoin (for chest + back), etc -proactiv, neutrogena, oxy, basically anything you can find in the store that claims to "work" After realizing
  16. I've limited it down to: -1- whey protein, -2- dark chocolate, or -3- coconut sorbet. I know one of these three is breaking me out. (Time to do an elimination diet.) (I've also discovered that I cannot tolerate green tea.) Which foods cause you to break out?

  18. I'm new to the board. I don't know where else to turn. I'm 14 and I have these tiny skin colored bumps. (which I believe are clogged pores I don't know what else they would be) my skin is combination. (oily t-zone) sometimes very dry cheeks. It's sensitive.I usually have like 2-3 red inflamed pimples to but those don't bother me as much because I'm 14 I understand pimples Everyone has them. But this cluster Of them look terrible. I've been to the dermatologist and she prescribed me aczone an zi

  20. Hey guys! I just wanted to start this topic on the over the counter product, Tea Tree Oil, and post my journey with using this product. So before going any further, I just wanted to give a brief history on my acne. I've had acne since I started puberty...so maybe when I was around 12. I never really knew how to clear it up and did not have much help with my skin so I was practically on my own and I had no idea what to do. All I used at that age was an astringent and it really didnt
  21. Something happened to all the links in this one during one of my many updates. I must have copied and pasted the displayed text rather than the html. I'll try to get them redone. Damn. there were some good ones. 22. Hey Everyone, This is my first post on Acne.org and decided to make an accutane log of my journey after reading so many on this website. To kick off this embarkment, I'm a 23 year old male who has been battling acne since I was 15. I've never had cystic acne, nor do I consider my acne severe, but I've always had moderate persistent acne. Like most people who decide to go on accutane, I have tried every prescription and OTC medication: Doxycycline Minocycline Benzoyl Peroxide Salicylic Acid D
  23. Background: I've never had perfect skin. I would get small pimples (whiteheads) here and there, mostly on my chin if they ever occurred. I have tiny whiteheads on my cheeks but they're not visible unless you actually get up close and examine my face (without makeup). I would get cystic acne maybe once or at most twice a month. I was told birth control can clear up acne but your body has to get used to it first for a few months before it clears up. NOTE: I tend to change my regimen in hop
  24. So, I've been breaking out like crazy the past week or so, and I've been pretty down about it. Lately I've been feeling a little fed up with bp...the bleached towels and hair, the large pores, and overall yucky texture of my skin. I've been thinking of switching my routine for a while now... Especially now that I'm preggers. I've been wanting to try something organic. Something that's actually GOOD for my skin. So I was at Target and came across these products by Giovanni. It's a detox system wi
  25. Hello all! this is the first time I have written anything on this website, although i have read A LOT of posts and reviews. I can honestly say this website has helped me so much and is the best one for people suffering from acne and want support and help choosing the right "path" in their fight against acne. I thought I would start writing about my roacutane experience and start keeping a log so that myself and fellow members can monitor my progress and symptoms while i am taking the medic
