    Questions about DKR

Hello everyone. I just bought some 5% bp from a brand I really like and was successful with in the past, and Im going to do my first application tonight I was just wonder what to expect within the next 2 weeks though as I am going to leave for vacation in 11 days and would really perfer not to be ALL broken out again. I've definately used my fair share of bp in the past and had no real complications with it. Should I still expect a inital breakout, or is that only if its your first time using

What to do after a night out

For the last 2 times Ive been out after drinking and eating fast foods, when Ive gotten home i resisted the urge to immediately pass out on the bed and instead i make myself a cup of green tea, drink about a litre of water and eat 2 apples. Normally my skin looks like crap the morning after night outs but on the last 2 occasions it improved or remained the same. So try this if you worry about how your skin looks the next morning and if you sober enough of course. A question to the pros here, wha
  4. Two questions. Right now I am on the regime, as well as drinking almost nothing but water and taking green tea and fish oil pills. I use Cetaphil moisturizer. 1.) So far so good, the regime seems to be working well, but I have major scarring from a previous breakout that is taking forever to diminish. I am attempting to use ACV as a toner for the spots, but am unsure where to place it in my regime. Right now I am using it after the cleanser, before the BP and moisturizer. Is this good? 2.) I h

  7. yuck. i have a sunburn. this hasn't happened in 5 years. the weird thing is, it only happened after i went ONE day without SPF 55. i've only been using sunscreen for 3 days and i haven't increased my sun exposure at all. right now i am just using green tea as an acne treatment. no chemicals or anything like that. any idea why this might have happened? :/ anyway, i need something besides aloe to make it feel better (i already put on the aloe and it didn't help too much). it needs to be non-comed
  8. Green Tea and Skin Care Green tea has been found to have positive effects in the arena of skin care. Two specific areas include acne and eczema. For acne, this tea makes a great, cheap alternative to expensive toners or astringents. Often, it can be combined with ingredients to make a concoction that can be applied with a cotton ball to clean skin. Simply drinking this tea has also worked for some to decrease the presence of acne, although you do have to be careful of increasing the intake of ca

I was just over on the Redmark Board and I read a post about using Green Tea leaves to make a toner for redmarks. Have you read anything about this? There's one main poster and two or three following his lead and thats just not enough to convince me. Since you are so knowledgable about Green Tea I thought maybe you had come across some info about this during your research. I am searching high and low for a treatment for my redmarks and I'd prefer that it was natural since I am already putting 2

    tons of oil

I've been taking green tea and fish oil and although I've noticed much less inflammation I'm really really oily lately. I went off the pill a month ago (and no period yet) but I'm really really oily for more time then I was before. The first few weeks I had no oil so I'm a bit bummed.
  13. I'm 20 years old, large pored/oily skin/scarred and I have dealt with acne since I was 12. I used Proactiv back in the day (when the cream cleanser still had the long beady things in them! they changed it!) and it cleared me right up (I was about 13). Then after that I stopped using it and my skin became worse and worse. Proactiv never really worked for me again and I broke out terribly, scarring was horrible. Through trial and error I have found a regimen that has worked wonders for me.
  14. . hi everyobody. i have gotten over 50 emails and privatemessages the last few months about there day treatment lotion 15 with zinc peptide ,clogging pores and causing breakouts. usuallytherelotions are safe. i know there last versionwas safe. but the new version seems to be heavier and unsafe.you should contact vivant so maybe they will change the formula so wont clog pores. it seems they should take out the octyl palmtiate and change glyceryl stearate to glycerin to make it safe to use. a
  15. Jus bought two of the new products from nuetrogena with the new and improved micro-clear technology thats "suppose" deliver salicylic acid deeper and more effectively into the pores than any other current products out there on the market??? Im curious as to if anyones tried these products. So far my experience has been 50/50;What i mean by that is that it makes yo skin feel clean and soft due to the green tea ingrediants without the tight feeling of the skin drying. But it seemed to make me break
  16. Hi everybody, I'm new here but I have browse these forums form here and there over the last several months. I know what works for some people are not necessarily going to work for others but I thought I would just post my regiment in case if it might help any of you too. I am not a doctor (fact I haven't been to a doctor about my acne or dermatologist since my late teens), I am simply describing my personal experience. I'm 23, male, Asian and have sensitive fair facial skin. Throughout my te
  17. I just bought this product and it seems promising, it has green tea extract, cucumber and 0.5% salycic acid in it. I am post-accutane and still have a little acne left and some scars. I am just wondering if salycic acid can be bad for scarred skin or if it's bad to have it on your face on a sunny day? Anyone who has feedback on this I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

    Patience & Being Gentle?

Well since joining this forum I have tried a few new things and my skin is getting better so I thought I would share. The first thing I learned on this site is how to gently cleanse my skin. I believe this is a very important step. Before I would be angry with my skin thinking I could rub my acne off the harder and longer I scrubbed. In turn my skin would look back at me in the mirror angrily. So now when I cleanse with my tea tree oil Castile soap I work up a lather like Dan suggests and very l

    The "Cure" for Acne?

As I've been suspecting for a while, acne actually isn't about dirt and oil coming from the outside world to attack you. And obviously, there are people out there who take poor care of themselves (smokers, heavy drinkers, Dunk n Donuts junkies, girls who wear cheap makeup) who still have comparatively clear skin. I am looking for a real theory as to why I have pimples, other than just "blaming it on genetics". I am 19 years old and have had moderate to mild acne since I was around 12, normally
  21. I've been on the regimen about 8 months by now, it's been going so-so for most of that time, till about a month ago I started to drink Green Tea with lemon/honey and exercise my butt off. Oh yeah I also switch my nightly moisturiser for Aloe Vera straight from the garden once a week. WOW! Massive difference, in all I feel a lot better, and my pimple/oil production is negligible by comparison. And red marks are almost completely gone! Only problem is my skin is kinda... ugly and I KNOW it's caus
  22. I was wondering if by drinking green tea it would flush the accutane out of my body and make it less effective??? This may be a stupid question, but before drinking it, I thought id double check with you all experts!

About me and my skin: I am a 26 year old male. I have had acne ranging from mild to severe cyctic acne ever since 1995. My current status is mild with normally 1-2 small sized cyst, along with mild scarring from old lesions. I also have bacne(mild). I have EXTREMELY oily skin. If I wash my face at 7 am, by around 3pm I am a walking oil slick. This past weekend, I had THE WORSE BREAK OUT that I have had in about 6 months. I dont know what I did that triggered it. Then again, right bef
  24. Wouldnt't baby cleansers b much betetr to use on our delicate acne prone face than anything else? They clean without drying due to the fact that they are 100% soap free, dye-free, and pH-balanced. So wouldn't this b really good for our skin? not to mention it is rediculoisly cheap. I am looking online for all sorts of bar soap without any of the detergents and heavy scents some soaps that sound good are glycerin and soap bars that are made with aloe, cocoa butter, olive oil, dead sea salts, gree
  25. I just started my 5th week of RAM, good news is that a large amount of whiteheads created by RAM are going away. Bad news is I still have a lot of redness, I was wondering if I started using a Clearasil Daily Oil Control Gel Wash with Green Tea and Peppermint in it, would it have any adverse effect on my current treatment? Would the Gel Wash help with my redness? When should I insert the gel wash into my regimen? Thanks, hopefully I start seeing beneficial results soon from my RAM, I am in t
