I have read from many places that fasting can help cleanse your body, detox it if you will. What I did was I didnt fully fast, but drank 100% pure fruit juices during the day, and green tea. Also I drank alot of pomegranite juice. The first time I tried this It seemed to work quite well actually, my cysts, blemishes ect started to die down and werent inflammed so much any more. My face was actually the best it had looked in a long while. Then I had to start eating no doubt. Of course the acne sp
  3. What can I eat (not too much of an acne aggrivator) that can help me gain weight. Also, can I eat fish oil at around 7PM and green tea (decaf) at around 9PM with the fishoil still having its full effect? I'm thinking that the fishoil will be absorbed by the time I have the tea but i don't know for sure (since green tea prevents fat absorbtion?) Thanks

    Finally After 10 Years

I have been struggling with acnes ever since I was 16. I am now 26, yeap, first time ever in 10 years I can finally go out without any makeup/foundation/concealer, etc... Well, I still wear makeup on a daily basis for work but it is now an option for me and not a requirement. I have tried everything under the sun, Retin A, Differin Gel, ProActive, AcneComplex, Clinique, Shiseido, Neutrogena, Clearasil, etc... Nothing works. One fine day last year, I decided to see a dermatologist, just out

    clear skin teas

i've read a number of posts about clear skin teas. i'm just wondering if anyone has used them and if they really notice a difference in their skin. right now i've been drinking dandelion root tea to aid in liver function. it tastes okay...it says to drink 2-3 cups a day for 4-6 weeks. i'm on my second box and really haven't noticed much of a difference. i'm curious to what people have to say about these teas. i was tempting to try a few, but didn't know if it would be a waste of money.
  6. Backstory Alright ive had moderate acne since about age 11 but last year it started to become cystic. Now i have waves of 1 or 2 large cysts that will spring up and then go down and then spring up in like a cycle i havent got the timing down yet but i can roughly predict them coming. Ive been on Minocyclline for like 4 years now so i dont know if that is helping anymore and ive done the usual Toure De Topicals Clindamyacin, BP. and some others before the Derm perscribed me Duac which im using r

    My regimen

Greetings... Fortunately I don't break out anymore. I still do have red marks and my skin just doesn't look nice. Here is my regimen to try and make my skin look like a babies : I swim everyday for 3 hours. After I swim I take a shower, and that is the only two times where my face makes contact with any water. No chemicals, No moisturizers, nothing.. I was never into those peels, cleansers, w/e; I never believed they would really help. I am also going to steam my face 3x a week for 10 mi
  8. Hey everyone, I've been dealing with mild-moderate acne in my T-Zone and on the back for about 8 years already. Fortunately, i've discovered clindamycin (btw, an antibiotic) and later BP, which really helped improving my skin a lot and reducing acne problems almost to zero. So now i've got just little stretches and little imperfections which are not seen at all when my skin gets enough moisture. But still - from time to time, there's a whitehead or a little breakout appearing on my T-Zone and
  9. Just wandering if the exposed acne treatment regimen works or not. the ingredients( if truthfully listed in the description) look like the stuff everyone uses for their own remedies like green tea, licorice root, aloe vera, tea tree oil, and more. Thinking about buying but want your opinion first.
  10. Hello, I am new to posting on here but wanted some opinions on my current regimen. I have had acne for 10+ years, mostly on my face. I have managed to control it somewhat through the years through birth control, antibiotics, and topical treatments. However, the past 8 months, it has been at some of it's worst- it seems to cycle every 4 years or something! I am 23 now. When I was in high school, I took Ortho-Triclen birth control, minocycline, and used differin or clindamycin. I don't quite reme
  11. I'm currently using a creme containing BP 2.4% and Aloe Vera that i bought from Acnezine treatment. My question is...is it necessary to use a moisturizer after this cream because it seems like it should be moisturizing enough since it has Aloe Vera and other products already in it These are the other ingredients: Calendura Extract, Goldenseal Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Lemon Peel Extract, Chamomile Extract, Lavender Extract, Green Tea Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tocopharyl Acetate, Panthenol,
  12. This whole journey has been a wild roller coaster. The DKR does work if you follow it precisely overtime. The first month I brokeout even worse in places where my skin was clear (my forehead especially). Second month I noticed little results, and up to the third month my skin was getting clearer fast. Last weekend my skin had no bumps and 100% clear, but yesterday I broke out with about 4 new pimples. The only acne I get are whiteheads and that's it. I've tried so many combinations. I first tr

I know real vegetables are better but I got about 4 containers of free greens supplement powders from work(and these thing are really expensive) so I figured I should try them for a little extra weight loss boost, still going to eat the same amount of fresh vegetables that I am now. But my question is, do any of these ingredients look problematic to you? Thanks Barleans Greens powder with natural berry flavor A proprietary blend** of Organic Barley leaf, Oat leaf and Wheat leaf combined with
  14. Ingredient: Saponified Olive Oil, Water, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea), Sodium Chloride, Fragrance is it good to wash face?? I need something to watch face... or i should wash it with Sea salt? scare that it will make it worse... :/
  15. I have this moisturizer I got awhile back that has Aloe&Green Tea by Alba, and I was wondering if I apply this on top of the BP will it have some counter effect? The description of the product says the green tea has a powerful anti-oxidant effect and helps reduce inflammation. But BP itself has an oxidizing effect to kill those bacteria, so if I apply the moisturizer will it reduce BP's effectiveness? I've also been thinking of purchasing a Tea Tree Oil moisturizer. I read that it may be ju

Greetings...It's been a while since I posted here.. My acne had greatly improved the last time I visted the forum..However, since then I went through a month or 2 of battling with it again.Now...thankfully..it is beginning to improve once more. One of the things which seems to be helping my skin is green tea - Does anyone else find that green tea helps to make their skin look a lot fresher?Taking walks by the seaside and exercising generally seems to help enormously too. Anyway, my main probl

    Questions about DKR

Hello everyone. I just bought some 5% bp from a brand I really like and was successful with in the past, and Im going to do my first application tonight I was just wonder what to expect within the next 2 weeks though as I am going to leave for vacation in 11 days and would really perfer not to be ALL broken out again. I've definately used my fair share of bp in the past and had no real complications with it. Should I still expect a inital breakout, or is that only if its your first time using

What to do after a night out

For the last 2 times Ive been out after drinking and eating fast foods, when Ive gotten home i resisted the urge to immediately pass out on the bed and instead i make myself a cup of green tea, drink about a litre of water and eat 2 apples. Normally my skin looks like crap the morning after night outs but on the last 2 occasions it improved or remained the same. So try this if you worry about how your skin looks the next morning and if you sober enough of course. A question to the pros here, wha
  20. Two questions. Right now I am on the regime, as well as drinking almost nothing but water and taking green tea and fish oil pills. I use Cetaphil moisturizer. 1.) So far so good, the regime seems to be working well, but I have major scarring from a previous breakout that is taking forever to diminish. I am attempting to use ACV as a toner for the spots, but am unsure where to place it in my regime. Right now I am using it after the cleanser, before the BP and moisturizer. Is this good? 2.) I h

  23. yuck. i have a sunburn. this hasn't happened in 5 years. the weird thing is, it only happened after i went ONE day without SPF 55. i've only been using sunscreen for 3 days and i haven't increased my sun exposure at all. right now i am just using green tea as an acne treatment. no chemicals or anything like that. any idea why this might have happened? :/ anyway, i need something besides aloe to make it feel better (i already put on the aloe and it didn't help too much). it needs to be non-comed
  24. Green Tea and Skin Care Green tea has been found to have positive effects in the arena of skin care. Two specific areas include acne and eczema. For acne, this tea makes a great, cheap alternative to expensive toners or astringents. Often, it can be combined with ingredients to make a concoction that can be applied with a cotton ball to clean skin. Simply drinking this tea has also worked for some to decrease the presence of acne, although you do have to be careful of increasing the intake of ca

I was just over on the Redmark Board and I read a post about using Green Tea leaves to make a toner for redmarks. Have you read anything about this? There's one main poster and two or three following his lead and thats just not enough to convince me. Since you are so knowledgable about Green Tea I thought maybe you had come across some info about this during your research. I am searching high and low for a treatment for my redmarks and I'd prefer that it was natural since I am already putting 2
