  1. I've been doing some research and I found that Red Panax Ginseng is a great herbal supplement that helps normalize the balance of whatever the body needs. However, I just started taking Accutane in May (40mg) and I want to take this as well. (reap the benefits starting now ). The only side effects I've had so far is my face is dry and so are my lips, nothing more. I realize its unsafe to take other medications while on this isotrentinoin but how about herbal supps?
  2. OK guys, after spending about 3-4 months trying to figure this out myself, I'm officially sending out a cry of help! History: *21 yr old female. *Acne for about 8 years now. *Started off mild, then was medium/severe when I was 14-17, toned down a bit at 18 but WAS NEVER EVER completely clear. *Have been battling with VERY persistent mild/moderate acne. *Rarely get cysts, maybe 2/3 times a year. *Mostly pustules/whiteheads/blackheads etc. *NO SPECIFIC ONE AREA OF BREAKOUTS.. that is I get
  3. Ok basically this is what I want to do; I want to have clear skin but not be on any kind of antibiotics. I know what the damage is of these and the years of mino and doxy and the 1 stint of acut has probably ruined my insides. I’m taking the advice on these boards to start coming off slowly. I had a bit of a bad eat over the past week i.e. a pizza and some ice cream on the weekend, bread before and also some choc, spread over the 7 days has given me 2 spots on my right cheek, one on my neck a
  4. I just realized that this stuff has been out in the market for at least 4 years now,, could be even longer, but If anyone out there has used this and has had Great Results please Post your regimen while using this Product known as Trioxil PM Gel (Bizasulene 14%). 5. 1: Int J Cosmet Sci. 2007 Feb;29(1):63-4.Links Prebiotic cosmetics: an alternative to antibacterial products.Bockmühl D, Jassoy C, Nieveler S, Scholtyssek R, Wadle A, Waldmann-Laue M. Henkel KGaA, 40191 Düsseldorf, Germany. The concept of prebiotics is well known from food products, where several ingredients are used to stimulate the beneficial gut microflora. However, prebiotic substances can in principle be applied to balance almost any microbial community to achieve advantageous effects. S
  6. Okay I'm a newbie here. I'm dark skinned and I just want to know if anyone can give me any info about my skin issue. Okay I said I wasn't going to be paranoid about it but I've been panicing for the longest and losing sleep. Okay I've had this skin rash thing going on with my face since I was young. I didn't know what it was so I really paid no mind it As I got older it spread and then it got read and it would itch and peel. Now I'm 20 years old and it's not as bad as it was but it still peels
  7. so I purchased this product today and is wondering if anyone has tried it or anything else from swisa beauty to treat red marks? here is an excert from the website: "Vital anti-aging Dead Sea Minerals are infused with life giving anti-oxidant ingredients including, Echinacea, Ginseng, Rosemary, and Green Tea Extract. 8. I love coffee. I love the flavour, the aroma, everything about it. But it makes my IBS iffy. And it can't be good for my skin. But I need something to perk me up and make me feel refreshed whilst also being a really tasty drink, hot or cold. I tried ginseng tea but it wasn't perky enough for me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  9. a while ago i found a site that said these herbs would be benificial for people with acne is it true? Ginkgo American Ginseng Tribulus Terrestris Maca Yohimbe
  10. I'm 22 and have had moderate to severe acne for as long as I can remember. I haven't tried everything, but I've tried a lot of stuff, and until just recently it just left me frustrated. I read on these boards that people sometimes get bad, cystic acne from food or other allergies, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I started using hypo-allergenic detergent, shampoo, face and body wash, and even dish detergent. When that didn't do much, I tried an elimination diet, cutting out first dairy, th
  11. I somehow feel that accutane is not only a powerful western medicine, but it is very "heaty" from the Chinese point of view. I felt that one should consume a lot of water whilst on accutane. Heatiness can even cause mouth ulcers, soar throat and eventually green phlegm. And thats why, it is better to blend accutane with the intake of chystimum tea, barley, ginseng, bird nest or leng yang, pao xin etc. Anything that can counter heatiness can obviate, if not alleviate, the heatiness of accutane
  12. Maybe 2 years ago I went to a doctor specializing in rhumatoid arthritis and other problems of the like. For the preceeding weeks I was extremely sore all the time. Just walking or even standing made me sore. Following some bloodwork from the doctor it turned out I had a low white blood cell count. It later turned out that it was believed to be the Minocycline that I had been taking for at least a year by then that had caused my drug-induced Lupus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupus_erythematosu

  15. I've been drinking Americna Ginseng tea, and I don't know if it's because of winter or just the less stress I have now, I have had less breakouts (much less). Btw, I'm Chinese, and my grandma told me that acne is caused by the "heat" in your body. American Ginseng (and not Korean because that will actually make it worse) will lower your "heat" and thus will help with acne. I bought this box of good quality American Ginseng, and it caused like 80 US. The store helped me slice them into small
  16. Here's a list of natural home remedies. Some probably work, like oatmeal, lemon juice, salt, vinegar, from what I've heard. ____________________________________________________________ Acne remedies 1.take some oatmeal, (about 3/4 cup) and enough water to moisten the oatmeal, and put it in the blender. Put this on face for about 15 minutes, and rinse with cool water. Oatmeal takes down swelling and redness, and has a slight drying affect. 2.The milky juice exuding from wounds of the u

  20. Couple months back I was on this forum posting about my horrible acne condition. Now I'm back with a clearer face (not all cleared, but much better) Hope this will continue. So, long story short. I am not using any BP products now, indeed these were the ones that probably aggravated my acne. I quit my daily regimen for a while due to shipping issues, then the nightmare began. If I can do anything different, I would probably choose not using any products and let my skin naturally heel. Well, t
  21. Its a long and boring one ladies and gentlemen, and it may not be for everyone but it certainly works for me and i've taken a very long time to figure it all out. some of it could be better, naturally - but i'm just not that strong to be able to not have a cup of coffee etc or a session of beers on the weekend etc. but, as can be seen from my pic in the picture thread on the other forum, its all gone once and for all (i didnt even realize until someone tagged a pic of me on FB, and it thought...
  22. Here's what I recommend: 1) Try taking ginkgo bilboa pills. You can buy them at the grocery store for about $10 (in the vitamin section) and they help with both bad skin and impotence caused by anti-depressants and (I think) accutane. I take about 6 per day. Ginseng also helps a little bit -- I use Ginsama brand which is a little hard to find sometimes, but will be in the same section and also about $10. I take 2 a day of that. 2) Buy pills from naturalup.com . They really do work, the packagi
  23. Mint teas are usually my favorite, Earl Grey is another one because I really like the smell of bergamot. I picked up some tea called Special Relaxing Tea yesterday at an asian store that smelled like fish and had lots of dried things in jars... It has scullcap, catnip, peppermint, chamomile, strawberry leaf, and valerian root in it. So it's very anti-inflammatory but also makes me very relaxed. I noticed another tea by the same company, Triple Leaf Brand, called Sugar Balance. It contains ast
  24. I recently picked up Hempz Herbal Moisturizer... I was wondering if it contained any ingredients that clogged pores as i can't tell. 25. I don't remember when I started to post here.. maybe 2 years ago? Anyway, I have gone through a bunch of needling, then did 2 glycolic acid peels, and now am still applying some topicals and just want to share my findings... After 2 or 3 years, most of my scars faded by a LOT. Since I knew that some of my older scars more or less disappeared after a year of being left alone, this made me more calm when faced with new scars... Basically, if your diet is good and your state of mind is happy and
