  1. This thread will go thru my journey as I get my scar treatment. I plan on getting mixto with subcision with dr David rahimi. I am quite young only 18 so I figured why not get my treatment when my scars and I are young. Any my questions you have I will answer. I will post pictures of my scars once most people join in on the thread. But right now my scars are mild not super mild but not yet moderate more in the middle. I have mostly box car scars with a couple ice pick and about one your two
  2. Hello everybody, Just wanted to share my current experiences with fractional laser, treating rolling scars left by moderate/cystic acne. So far I've done 4 Fraxel Re:store procedures on an affected area on a right cheek (added the "before" picture). The procedures were a bit painful, but as I have high pain tolerance, it was no big deal for me. The downtime was short and I was actually going to work the very same day I got my fraxel done, since the slight throbbing/burning sensation didn't bo
  3. Hey guys, Today i just got a laser combination treatment for my acne scars. I basically have all of my scarring on my temples and cheeks which are mostly boxscars, and a old chicken pox scar in between my eyebrows. I'll spare you guys the long storey of my acne scarring struggle and just get straight to the treatment. Today I just had my first round of Micro Laser Peel + Fractionated Laser Resurfacing. Both lasers are made by the same manufacturer called Sciton. The Fractionated laser they use
  4. Hi guys! Just wanted to hear from those who have done this treatment as well. I underwent the Pearl Fractional Laser around 2 weeks ago and after the first week, when the skin underneath my eyes (somewhere in the cheeks areas) started to peel, I was amazed at how fresh my "new" skin looked like. The scarring on my cheeks have definitely been lifted and have become less deep in just one treatment. However, it's been two weeks already and my face has completely peeled, and I feel like
  5. Today I went in for my Co2 Fractional Laser treatment at Harmony Laser Center, Colorado. Here's how my last 2.5 hours went: Prepping: I was at the laser center for about 10 minutes when I was then taken to the back by a very nice, welcoming nurse named Mary. While in the back, Mary explained to me what my skin care regimen is going to be for the next 5 days while applying 3 seperate topical numbing creams on my face (they all ended in "-caine") After signing a few quick forms and going over
  6. Ok so I've done plenty of treatments for scarring. I went from trying to fix large pores, used oils cleansing method, broke out in closed comedones, used accutane, severe breakout, then scars. I've done two fractional laser treatments and two traditional co2 laser treatments. Now I'm at the point of wondering if maybe lasers aren't right for my scars and wondering what kind of scars are mine classified as so I can get the right treatment. Any help is appreciated These are now and after all the
  7. So it's been about 17 days since I had my fractional co2 laser done on my whole face and I was starting to breakout. This is my second one and I never broke out that bad, so my derm put me on doxycycline 150mg for 2 weeks and prescribed me aczone to use in the morning and night and clindamycin to use at night. I trust my derm knows what's best for me but has anyone had any luck with using aczone and clindamycin together? Also, is 2 weeks enough for my skin to heal to let me start using acne medi
  8. Hi guys I would need your help choosing a plan for my situation. I've already done 2 procedures of ractional co2 laser without any success. Unfortunately I haven't taken pictures before the procedures, but I assure very minimal improvement could have been noticed(5% perhaps). First procedure of fractional co2 laser was 40 days ago and the last one 10 days ago. I've attached some pictures made today(current situation). Could you please tell me what should I do no
  9. I had a whole bunch of treatments done on my face yesterday for my acne scarring. The before photo doesn't show the full extent of my scars but I've asked my doctor to send me the photos they took which I will upload as well. My main issues were uneven skin tone, red marks, a couple of small ice pick scars and quite a lot of rolling scars. First, I had numbing cream put on my face and had my blood drawn for the PRP. Once numb, I was injected with local anesthetic and then had my cheeks subci
  10. I've been looking into finding doctors who can combine subcision and laser. I've heard good things about this combination. I found someone in Charlotte, NC who will combine subcision with Fraxel Restore. The subcision is crazy cheap, the laser is up the butt expensive. I was told it would be around $150 (subcision) + $850 (Fraxel:Restore on cheeks only) = $1,000, or $150 (subcision) + $1,000 (full face Restore) for $1,150. I also found a place in Virginia that offers Mixto laser for
  11. Hearing such discouraging stories about treating scars on the nose, I think I might have to resort to lasers for my nose. I don't know much about them, and my research hasn't yielded very informative anecdotes about people who've actually done it. a) Which laser would have the best effect on reducing/removing my scars? b) Which laser is safest for darker skin? And if my skin does darken, is there a way to lighten it back up? c) What is the approximate cost of getting just my nose or half o
