  1. Hello everyone! I know long post... please give it a read?:) Ok, so I’ve been reading this forum form or years. You all seem to be very educated and know what you’re talking about when it comes to acne. I’m really hoping there’s someone that can give me some advice or suggestions for my acne. So backstory... had acne since 13, mostly just whiteheads and some pastuels on my forehead. Never on the lower half of my face where the hormonal acne “should be”. That bothered me so very much t
  2. (So i dropped off my prescription quite late so i wasnt able to have an actually "day 1" of using the three products. ) btw if you're wondering on how my skin is (oily) and was, i made another blog entry first night: -used bianca for the first time, took minocycline (100mg once a day before bedtime) for the first time -bianca had no stinging or redness or itchiness. the texture was surprising to me, it was a clear runny gel consistency. -after an hour i applied neutrogena oil-free mo
  3. Issue: Congestion on forehead/hairline Solution: Discontinue Shampoo & substitute baking soda as Shampoo(only on roots/scalp) 1x week for my curly hair.+Vitamins! This has immensely helped.I even went to the doctor to have my hormones checked, they turned out to be "normal".I also stopped using aloe vera gel in my hair and continued with my Bain De Terre smoothing gel avoiding hairline. I am extremely surprised and happy with the results. I wish i had done this sooner. I also use tea t
  4. Hi All, I am currently 21 and have developed what I think is Cystic Acne, I have painful red bumps on both my cheeks which eventually form big pus filled inflamed zits. I also get this on my forehead and around my mouth however, on my cheeks they are constantly there and there is more than 10 red marks on both of my cheeks but some of these are flat red blemish like marks. Throughout my teens I got the odd pimple here and there but nothing too serious that a blob of toothpaste over night could
  5. Hi everyone, this is my first topic here but I've been a long time reader of the forums Many of you seem so experienced and knowledgeable, so I wanted to make a post and see if anyone could help me figure out what's causing my persistent forehead acne. Some background info: I'm a 22 year old female who had perfect skin all throughout my teens. Once I hit 19-20, I started to get the occasional pimple on my forehead/chin. As someone who prided herself on having great skin, it was bothersome,
  6. I had been on the pill for over 10 years (I'm 28 now), and I stopped taking it in April 2014. I never had ANY (and I stress, ANY) acne before. My skin was fine at first when I stopped, but starting around August 2014, my skin started getting more oily than normal. I just moved to the south, so I figured it had to do with a change of climate/humidity. Since December 2014 though, I've been breaking out like CRAZY. I wake up with at least 2-3 more bumps each day. My upper back/shoulders have pa
  7. I started developing acne on my forehead due to multiple reasons. I was stressed and wasn't eating healthy. I picked on my acne a lot and caused dark spots on my forehead. I never had acne on my forehead before this period. I started using tretinoin cream 0.05% and along with clindamycin phosphate topic solutions 1%. I also went to have my whiteheads or closed comedones extracted. For my dark spot, I used Kiehl's clearly corrective dark spot solution. This is the result. I'm open to any question
  8. I'm 15 years old and I've had fairly clear skin my whole life. I would get 1-3 pimples at the most and maybe 3-4 when I'm on my period. But it was never a big deal because it would just go away. In the past 2 months, I have been breaking out on my forehead and I still have not found a solution to my forehead acne. It wasn't as bad at first and it was only at the very top of my forehead, and then within 2-3 weeks in the first month my skin was back to normal and I thought it was just a temporary

  10. Hello, i've been having these tiny bumps on my forehead for a few weeks now and im not quite sure what it is. At first I thought they looked like acne so I tried using remedies and products for acne and it doesn't help at all but instead the tiny bumps on my forehead increased! After some research, I found out that I may be having something called malassezia folliculities? So I went to the pharmacy and they gave me a cream with 2% ketoconazole. Been using it for a few days, so far it has no chan
  11. Hi. I was suffering from inflammatory acne for a while however my dermatologist prescribed me epiduo and doxycyline and I have noticed huge results within only a month. However I still have this strange scaly texture on the left side of my forehead. (Pictures show on your right) It's like a patch or cluster of slightly raised bumps. It's the same color as my skin and sometimes itchy (not really) and much more noticeable in the light. It doesn't look like acne to me plus it's not going away with
  12. Hello everyone. 4 months ago i started using salicylic acid in the form of facewash to treat my forehead acne. My acne on forehead has gotten better, but i have started to develop cheek acne. I have never had acne on my cheeks before. Could the salicylic acid be a contributing factor for my cheek acne?
  13. Ok past two weeks I've been breaking out inbetween my eyebrows, my skin gets oily her but never usually break out this much here. Using a come done extractor a hard sebum like clogged pore thing comes out and it leaves a brown mark which takes forever to go and fade the slightest. Possible causes: Gym sweat from cardio, I try to wash my face as soon as possible after a gym session however sometimes i shower and wash my face a bit later like 30 minutes later so maybe the sweat hardens which c
  14. Hey there everyone. So for the most part my face gets the normal whiteheads and maybe the occasional small redhead pimples during my time of the month, but during this past year of 2016 I have been getting sober off of weed and I guess it might have caused this huge cyst in between my eyebrows, I have had it since February, and it's basically the end of March and it's still here, and well I have a job interview coming up this week and wanted to know if anyone has a good cure for a bump that just
  15. Hi everyone - please read my story. This is for anyone struggling with causes and treatments in relation to acne. I'm Katie and I'm very frustrated with my skin. THE BACKSTORY Katie here. A super frustrated 20 year old plagued with acne. I've had acne since about 7th grade - and I've had it bad. It seems to come and go from time to time as far as the severity is concerned by I've had it for as long as I can remember. I have tried everything. I've seen countless dermatologists, been
  16. Hi everyone, I'm getting desperate and have been struggling with acne for years. It eats my self esteem and has affected me emotionally and socially and it's getting worse. I have no self esteem because of it, and no doctors can help. They treat me like just another person with "acne" and get me out of the office as soon as possible. I'm a 23 year old female and have had acne since I was 18. I get it persistently on my forehead, in between my eyebrows, my temples, the sides of my face (in
  17. NO PICKING CHALLENGE! (for real) I've tried this challenge multiple times, I have failed EVERY, SINGLE TIME. This time, I will succeed! Personally, my acne is not hormonal but most likely has to do with my diet, stress, and POPPING --> spreading bacteria --> more acne! So, I am going to stop popping, picking, and touching my face at all. I've done these things to stay on the challenge: -Ticker app to keep track -Drew on my mirrors so I can't look close -Dim light in bathrooms -Dist
  18. Hi everyone, So I never had any acne issues. But now I'm 20 yrs old and have been dealing with stubborn forhead acne for over a year. In high school I would get a few tiny pimples here and there but that's it. Last winter I was away in Costa Rica and all of a sudden my forhead broke out like craZy. No idea what caused this, and there was pretty much nothing I could do to fix it. Randomly, after basically giving up, my acne went away in every fall and winter me I ha s totally clear in. Now thi
  19. back story on my skin: start of high school is when i was getting more pimples (started getting them at age 13-14 but they were small and only one would pop up at a time and they'd go away on its own). Throughout high school i would get pimples on my forehead that seemed to group together, though they weren't big cystic ones, they were still red and inflamed and making my life less enjoyable. At this time I got my first job and was finally able to afford those drugstore spot treatments. I star
  20. About 4 years ago I started getting these bumps on my forehead and ever since, nothing has worked for them except accutane. They never seem to go away, and I can no longer be on accutane because of the side effects. I have searched forums and such for help, but it seems like no one else's is quite like mine. Any ideas? Is this even acne? Could it be fungal? I've attached a photo, any help would be great'
  21. Hi everyone. I've been struggling with acne since August and I've really gotten to a point where I'm almost depressed by it. I hate leaving the house and I can't help but feel like everybody is disgusted by me. It's completely destroyed my confidence and I'm just so fed up with it. It somewhat comes and goes, but theres always at least 3 pimples- generally in the same spots. On my left and right cheeks and above my right eyebrow. I was using The Body Shop "Drops of light cleanser" follow
  22. Hi, I was looking for some advice/help/treatment for the mild acne I have on my forehead. It varies in its severity but has been ongoing for the past two years. I have small bumps all over my forehead and continuing my temples that makes the skin feel and appear rough, most of the time the bumps have no heads and sometimes my forehead becomes red and flares up, other times I get bigger red, painful bumps that have no heads but the small ones are constantly there. I've attached some photos that s
  23. I am a 36 year old male from London. I have had acne since I was 13. Been on Roaccutane 4 times, age 16, 20, 30 and now on a low dose of approx 10-20 mg per day dependent on how bad it is. Between ages 20-30 I only really suffered from Folliulitis around jaw /neck and no real acne on Forehead. Since 2010 I have suffered terribly with ridiculosuly oily forehead and red spots under skin on forehead. I am nearly bald so it is more noticeable. Having tried laser to no effect as well as e
  24. Hi everyone! This is my first time actually posting on Acne.Org, although I have referenced the site a few times before, as well as other related sources. I decided to post to track my journey and help others where I can. Additionally, to shine light on certain situations and stress that conditions to improve over time. A little background on myself and my acne: I'm a 19 year old college student, that turns 20 in a little over a month. I have battled/struggled with acne since the
  25. Hello! I’m a 15 year old teenager with (sometimes) very dry, eczema prone skin, and oily mainly on my t-zone. I’ve had these small spots on my forehead for about three years but now my skin has hit an all time low. A couple years ago it used to be very small pimples on my forehead, which progressed be red and increased in number on my forehead (as seen on the photos, i miss my old skin so much). My spots tend to itch sometimes and looked a bit like whatpeople with pityrosporum had which is what
