    My First Blog Entry

Hello fellow Acne sufferers, this is my first blog on this site. I joined because honestly acne has become a huge stress in my life and I think blogging would help. To those who decide to read this I will introduce myself. My name is sk8(not posting real name) lol. I am a 17 year old male, yes that may sound weird but even teenage boys can talk about their problems. I am a sponsored skateboarder so that is the influence behind my name. I am still in high school, a junior to be exact. I make dece
  2. First day on accutane! I'm turning 21 in a couple of months and I've had acne since the eighth grade (so about 8 years). Every year it gets worse. Right now it would only take a glance to know that my acne is severe. My forehead is usually okay, with minimal scarring. However, both of my cheeks and chin are pretty much all covered with marks and breakouts. And recently, I've started breaking out near both my temples, which makes my whole face covered in acne. Since I probably can't get
  3. As a teenager I experienced a small pimple here and there, never anything cystic and never anything I would describe as acne. It wasn't until I turned 23 that my skin began having issues. I returned home from a family vacation with a pretty bad breakout. I tried over the counter products for a couple of months before I decided the breakout wasn't going away. I made an appointment with a dermatologist who took one look at my face (not a very close look) and told me that I had adult acne. Because
  4. Salut! A demain! ---- Hi! I bought the regimen
  5. Day 26 Hi, I thought to pass the time, I would log my accutane results. I'm starting at Day 26 but I assumed the first few weeks on accutane are similar for everyone. I'm a 22 year old male that weighs 70kg. I have had both cystic and hormonal acne persistently for years. I've tried a few other medications but lately it's been getting a lot worse so I've been prescribed 20mg accutane daily. My dermatologist wants to move me up to 40mg daily but I am going to talk with him to stay on 20mg to
  6. From the album: Regimen Progress

This was taken after four days of starting Dan's Regimen and a week before that of using a LOT of epiduo (2.5% BP). Have had breakouts on my right cheek and chin area.
  7. A month closer to clear skin!!! I got through the initial breakout, it only lasted about a week. Though I got some leftover hyperpigmentation and scars that are still red but at least flat! My skin is much less oily and my hair is too. I just use water to rinse my face in the morning followed by a ph balancing toner and soothing moisturizer. I have a cyst on my upper lip that came up a few days ago. I'm using all my willpower to just leave it alone because it's really irritating! I also broke ou
  8. Hey everybody! After years of struggling with acne and trying different products I am finally gonna start my accutane treatment! It all started when I turned 15. My acne got pretty bad and I began to feel very depressed about it all, so I went to the doctor and he prescribed me benzoylperoxide. After about 2 months there was no improvement at all and I really suffered from the side effects like dryness and itchiness. My face was still one big mess, so the doctor prescribed me minocycline (an
  9. Hey guys, just had a quick inquiry from those who have finished or currently going through accutane treatment for their acne. Im 20 male, and have had moderate/severe acne for a while now. I started accutane (isotretonoin) about 20 days ago to be exact and am on 20mg/day. My lips are dry and face a bit redder than usual but my skin has improved heaps already and havent had a breakout for almost 3 weeks. I was told my I.B would be within the first few weeks but it doesnt look like anythings pop
