  1. Okay so I might sound like a douche with this, but bear with me because I know there have to be others like this. So naturally I'm very good looking (again not trying to be a tool) but i've suffered with acne and it almost makes it worse because when I look in the mirror and know that I could be good looking again if I could just clear up the acne (btw I'm an 18 yr old male freshman in college). I feel unlucky because I walk around college and think, "Great, no one in college has acne, it's a hi
  2. I realized that I didn't post nearly as often last round of accutane (lol I just told my computer to add this word to dictionary bc its such a huge part of my vocab that I have to use so often now). I posted maybe 7 times up until day 40 then the day of my last pill. Am I handling this round differently? Different schedule? I think I feel the need to document this round as best as possible just in case I end up taking acc a third facking time and need to remember what side effects are normal, no
  3. Don't get me wrong, I'm still breaking out a bit. But its definitely better than 2-3 days ago. I feel a lot better today. I was almost dreading seeing my man this weekend because of how my skin looked and hoping so badly that it would heal / look better by the time I see him, and I think that will be the case. I don't get to see my doc for another 4 hours, so I get to starve (fast) all day, woohoo. I keep reaching for food and have to remind myself not to eat XD. Will try to schedule next appt i
  4. Hey guys, What I wanna talk about today is how acne affects your everyday life. Of course how and how strongly your skin influences what you do and how you do it depends entirely on you. I personally know a lot of people dealing with acne, some of them with very severe cases. Some might expect them to be emotionally unstable and introverted, but they're not. Of course there are tons of teenagers out there never leaving their rooms because they are embarrassed about the way they look. But

    Clear Skin Official

Hello everyone! I've used acne.org for years now, and it's been a wonderfully helpful community for me as I struggled with acne and finding the products and regimen that work for me. If any of you are on Instagram, I wanted to share a new account that focuses on the emotional/psychological impact of acne, and hopes to publish stories of overcoming self image issues associated with acne or other skin issues. Their tag is "clearskinofficial" https://www.instagram.com/clearskinofficial/ Ho
  6. Do you think it is possible that feeling optimistic when trying on a new product can heal acne? I know it sounds silly but I'd like to think so. What is your opinion? I mean, isn't that why placebos are given in drug trials to eliminate any psychological effects on the effectiveness of the treatment? Just saying.
