  1. I am looking for a moisturizer to mix with the Regimen lotion. The regimen lotion works great but my skin is very dry so im running out of lotion way before the cleanser and the BP. I am also using jojoba oil from acne.org for added moisture. I have sensitive, acne prone skin (obviously) so looking for something very mild and unscented

    Facial Redness Help

Hi everyone...first time here. I want to know if anyone happens to know why my face is so red. Both pictures are in natural lighting (outside with a bit of sun). Looks quite a bit like a sunburn, but it's lasted for the past... as long as I can remember? Yes I wear sunscreen outside. Some symptoms seem incredibly similar to rosacea, my mother will not take me to a dermatologist so I'm relying completely on you guys. It's all over my face, become harder to see at around 5 ft distance. I wash my f

    issues following a facial

Hey everyone. so I had a facial about 3 weeks ago. needless to say, I will not be getting another. I had a breakout and decided to go to an esthetician so they could get me pointed in the right direction with better skincare products tailored to my needs and such. I my sister had gone to her previously and she has alot of experience with acne. n fact, she had pretty severe cystic acne herself that she had since cleared up. anyway, I had a deep cleansing facial with extractions done. the extracti
  4. I have had 2 facial acne extractions done and each time new whiteheads have formed. Just wondering if this is normal and the best way to treat it. * a semi big one popped on its own and I wasn't sure how to get the gunk out (I used comedome extractor).
  5. About a month ago I went to get a facial at a salon. They did a TERRIBLE job to say the least. I’ve always had pimples now and then come and go but NEVER an acne issue and never something like this before. Ever since the painful facial my skin has been reacting in new pustules every single day on my cheeks, chin, and forehead. I’ve never experienced this and it just keeps coming daily and doesn’t go away. What do I do? I’m so desperate I’ve been crying because I feel hopeless and like my skin wi
  6. Hey guys. I'm new here. Anyways, as most of you-- I basically tried EVERYTHING there is to offer in the market but nothing ever worked for me. Ever since I was 10 (which was when I first started having my periods and now I'm 19 nearly 20), I was already experiencing acne breakouts. My mom would send me to the best dermatologist every Saturday in my city 'til I was 13. Constant extraction from the doc. Constant shit on my face and it would never ever stop! So my dermatologist then suggested Ac
  7. Okay so, I have read some articles about what the difference is but I still don't understand properly!! I really want to try using baking soda for a facial scrub because I have heard lots of good reviews about it but I have a problem.. I went to the store today and the only thing I could find was baking powder? Maybe I was not looking in the correct place for it. I went online and was I supposed to look in the cleaners isle? Where all the bleaches and detergents are? Sounds kind of harsh

    Clogged Pores

Hi guys, So I've had clear skin my whole life. At the age of 23, I started developing a few blackheads around my nose. I went in for a facial to get them extracted, and it was literally the worst decision of my life. The facialist was too harsh on my face and left tons of scarring from the extractions, and after the facial, I broke out with tiny little bumps on my right cheek. I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed me a 10% glycolic lotion for the bumps and scarring, however, this j

    Facial While On Tretinoin 0.025

Hello I am now into the middle of my second week of tretinoin cream. I do not know if this is the start of the inital breakout or what, but I am noticing that I am getting a lot of clogged pores on my cheeks, as well as having many small pimples forming on my forehead which is an area where I previously did not have much of a problem. I wanted to know if anyone here has gotten a facial to get the clogged pores extracted? I feel as though this may make the healing process quicker but am not sure.
  10. I just got a facial and my skin actually looks terrible.. It was a detox facial at a spa.. I know it's gonna be red from extractions but everywhere else looks thinned out and red and irritated.., is this normal....
  11. Now, I've been on the Acne.org Regimen for a solid three years and would consider myself an anecdotal professional. I currently am 99.9% clear and have been for about two and a half years (the regimen took about six months to fully kick in!) I could not be happier! ...Or so I lied. I love the regimen, but I'm the kinda guy that loves to try out new products even though the ones I may already use are absolutely fine and work perfectly. http://www.selsunblue.ca/natural-dandruff-shampoo.aspx
  12. Hi I was wondering why I have been getting Facial hair now in places I never get it but the thing thats weird is sometimes the new facial hair only shows up on one side of my face in that spot, I also have bumps under my skin that DO NOT hurt at all when I touch them you cant even see the bumps only feel them! I also get swollen lymph nodes on my body sometimes! What could this be and is using Glycolic acid going to help!
  13. Hello everyone: I got recently diagnosed with keratosis pilaris. It is in my arms and my whole back, and apparently it is also on my face. The bumps that look like comedonal acne, those hard plugs with a hard substance, might be diagnosed as acne but are sometimes facial keratosis pilaris. I wanted to know if anyone else has this condition and what have you done to get it under control, because it actually has no cure. I forgot to mention that I have a dry and very sensitive skin, so I ca
  14. Hi guys. (Horrific pictures ahead!!!) About a few months back my cheeks started to have these tiny bumps which I initially thought they were acne so I kept putting acne cream on them but to no avail. They don't come to a head no matter what and they are very visible under sunlight. After a month of having them, I went for a basic facial treatment and I was told that they were whiteheads, either from new cosmetic or skincare products allergy or the results of not cleansing my face properly. The

I have tried so many skin care treatments including medications prescribed by the dermatologist my entire teenage years. I have always had horrible skin, so I was willing to try anything new. I fell in love with their products. They do exactly what they say they will do. So I joined the company and started doing spa. So I am always looking for women who need a good skin care r

  17. Hi there, been posting here a few times to find a solution to my acne(facial and body). Backstory: Started getting back acne at atleast 12(now almost 16)and it's getting worse. When i was a few years old i had pneunomia(heck i might even have it now lol,but i don't experience any breathing problems)which someone said that it may have a connection to my acne(Staphylococcal folliculitis, or any bacterial acne of some sort)I have attached some pictures of my back, chest and shoulders and also link

    Your Thoughts On Facials?

I don't have much acne at all, since this is my third month into the Regimen, and it worked so well. I still wear foundation to work, because I have hyper pigmentation spots that I hide. Today, a lady came in. She told me that she could give me her business card for a facial. She works at Mary Kay. I am afraid that my skin looked horrible or something, but my family and friends keep telling me that my face looks great. Maybe it's just because they've seen me when I had terrible acne, and so now
  19. Soooo today I went for a microdermabrasion(mda from now on) and a micropeel. This place was gorgous with waterfalls indoors , giant spacious rooms, chic chairs and leather couches, and one of those single cup coffee machines. So I made myself a single cup of tasty chai and sat down in my chic thousand dollar chair reading their booklet entitled" what we can do for you"..... . i was getting sucked in I just knew it.. The cost: 75$ express microdermabrasion, 0$ micropeel( usually 90$ but she
  20. I've just broken out in a bunch of blackheads all over my nose. They are steadily growing and I'm concerned because my blackheads sometimes leave scars. I want to get a facial where they can be extracted but I've never had one before and don't know how well it goes. Is it safe to have blackheads extracted by someone in a salon? Will they be extracted without scarring or is there no way to prevent those little holes? Also, what's the average cost of a facial + extractions? There's a place where i
  21. Hi, I'm from the UK looking for an alternative moisturiser to use, because Dan's colours my face, and as much as I enjoy it, I can't put up with the colouring anymore. The link to the product, on the UK amazon website can be found here, where you can look at the ingredients and anything you need to: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neutrogena-Sensitive-Oil-Free-Facial-Moisturizer/dp/B000052YOX/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t I noticed the 8th ingredient (Isopropyl isostearate) on the back of the product ha

    Deja Vu Facial Peeling

Hello, first time poster right here. I've looked at these boards a few years ago and actually developed my own Regimen based off of what I saw here. I still use Cetaphil Facial Cleanser + Moisturizer to this day. Anyway, onto my topic. Today I bought a product from the mall called Deja Vu Facial Peeling. Yes, I was over charged, paying $40.00 cash for it, while later I noticed it runs for $22.95 at Amazon. The salesman attempted to sell it to me for $70.00! Here's a link to the product: http:
  23. im 16 right now. I started washing my face summer of 2010 with what ever products i had. At the time my face stayed clear and it stayed clear until april of 2011, since then i've been getting acne everywhere and so i started using creams to treat them and it just made my acne worse and so i started washing my SENSITIVE face twice a day and eventually my problem got better, but i still had acne. Can anyone give me a cleansing regimen for my sensitive skin, like what cleanser, moisturizers and ton
  24. Has anyone heard of something called PRGF? It's used by Barcelona FC and other top football teams because it's meant to make you regenerate cells faster and they are now using it in skin? It stimulates growth of elastin, collagen, fibrin and other proteins by making a fibrin membrane in your body using your own plasma. They are saying it's not a vampire facelift because they don't use the leukocytes in the blood and white cells because they cause inflammation. The whole point is it's suppose

    Hydrafacial

I was wondering if anyone has ever done the Hydrafacial for acne and acne scars/redness? If so, what were your results? I'm planning on getting one soon but I can't seem to find any individual reviews from people who have actually gotten the Hydrafacial. All the information I can find on it is what is written on their website, on spa/skincare websites, or on commercials. There doesn't seem to be many user reviews on it. Please if anyone has had it done, please let me know how it worked out!
