  1. So i've been on accutane for already 11 days! I am still not experiencing any severe side effects, just the common chapped, dry lips and slightly dry skin. Also i've had no sign of an initial breakout (yet). Again this might be because of the antibiotic i'm on- Ampicillin 500mg twice daily. I've had maybe 2 or 3 very small active spots that have came and went in about 3 days, not even. I'm feeling pretty hopeful and this is probably the best i've looked in a long time. So far my face sti
  2. Hi! I'm Alanis. I started getting acne for the first time ever about a year and a half ago. I'm eighteen. When I first went to my doctor with the issue, I had pretty bad acne on my forehead, the upper cheeks under my eyes and by my nose, and chin. My doctor gave me doxycycline and epiduo. I was only given doxycycline for about a week and I'm using the stronger upiduo now. Since then my acne became under control. I became vegan, tried murad products, Paula's choice, Proactive moisturizer, (cetaph
  3. Hello All, Before I went to see the Dermatologist, I decided to ask on here if anyone else had had the same issue. I am now twenty-five years old with a steady job, kids and wife. Since I was around 13, I have had acne but once I got out of my teens, it cleared up substantially. The only problem is, I cannot seem to get rid of the acne on the right side of my face. I have had the same pores and same zit for multiple years now in the same exact spot. I have poped it, cleaned it, left it
  4. On my face I have one spot on my cheek that won't go away. There two pimples that are directly next to each other, which essentially form one large pimple. This spot has been on my face for nearly a month and has not really gotten that much better. I have been applying the regimen as described. What can I do to help make this spot go away?
  5. Hey guys! Im Trevor, I'm 20, and this is my first day on accutane. I've been struggling with acne for the past three years. Both Doxy and Mino cleared up my skin for a couple of months, but my acne slowly came back after growing intolerant to the antibiotics. I went into the dermatology office today and was actually a little surprised when she offered a course of accutane. My acne is moderate. It affects every aspect of my life--from the minute I wake up to the minute I put my head down on
  6. I'm Luca and I'm now 18 years old and studying my A levels at college. I was first prescribed accutane back when I was 15 and suffered from severe severe acne all over my face. Giant, painful pimples that left pretty nasty scars, obviously so bad that I felt only a prescribed drug would help me out. First trial of accutane was for 9 months on their strongest dose. I was explained all the sides etc but didn't look into them too much as even your basic paracetamol has endless lists of po
  7. Hey guys, I haven't updated in almost two months but I figured I would today since tomorrow will be the start of my last month on accutane ! I am beyond happy with my results and my overall experience over the past 4 months on accutane. Accutane has been so good to me. No initial break put and clearing started very early on. The only thing I can really complain about is having chapped lips all the time but hey, better than acne ! As you know if you've read my blog, I started accutane when
  8. I have had acne since i was close to ten! i never struggled with it on my face, but always moderate to severe on chest, shoulders, neck, and back. We moved to ga about two years ago. My skin is a mess now. My face breaks out, my body acne is worse, the zits don't go away( I also get cystic acne on face now). I have used everything, and was wondering does anyone have any tips for me? I also think a mineral in the water could be bothering my skin, cause when i get out of the shower my acne looks t
  9. I've had dandruff for more than 10 years on my scalp, but that's not the topic today. Some dandruff has started appearing 3 weeks ago on my eyebrows and below them. Then I saw flaky, dandruffy-lskin on my nose (as you can see). Today I noticed something an inch away from my nose.... what is that? Acne or dandruff? What to do about it?
  10. Hey guys! I haven't updated in a while but that's because nothing new has really happened just improving day by day ! I'm basically 100% clear, only a week and a half into my 3rd month on accutane. I've stopped wearing make up on my skin and I've stopped using acne cleansers everyday, I'll usually use every other day or so. I'm so incredibly happy, all I wanted was to be clear for my 20th birthday and with it being 2 weeks away it looks like I definitely will be which is super exciting ! My lips
  11. Quick little update !!!!! Eeeeekkk got a little pimple on the bottom/corner of my lip!!!! I hate it, im wondering if its from all the chapsticks and other ointments i've been slathering on my lips? Also my face is a little reddish/pinkish the past couple days and a little more sensitive. I just want this stupid little pimple gone !!!!! My eyes have been pretty dry lately too. Welp that is all for right now lolol (:
  12. I have always been more physically developed than my peers, so i started to get the odd pimple now and then around the age of 11. By the time i was twelve i had developed spots on my back and chest, although mild, i went to the doctors and they gave me a gel. This gel did nothing, other than bleach all my clothes. i went back a year later when i was put on antibiotics, again these failed. i stayed on the antibiotics for about two years before last year when i started getting much more severe bre
